| HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! For a chapter leaking a whole week early I am really fucking surprised at how crazy this shit is!! Kiga meeting with Yoshida to discuss Nostradamus's Prophecy, where the world will end in July 1999-- and it somehow being orchestrated by Kiga. The first Devil responsible for making humanity fall into an abyss of despair... Death! I am really honestly super surprised that the Death Devil is already showing up. I didn't expect that at all, if I had it my way, we wouldn't have gotten to see Death until like a hypothetical Part 4. Kiga somehow knowing about this, and Yoru being completely unaware is interesting. I wonder if maybe Kiga isn't even involved, but perhaps she is trying to stop it? Or is she trying to bring something out in Yoru by having her encounter Death this way? We know that Kiga has been instigating Yoru for some time, reviving the Justice Devil and the Eternity Devil to mess with her, but we never knew why. (She might even have revived the Bat Devil now that I think about it.) We also never knew how exactly she did it, she probably could have used the help from Death perhaps. Anyway, back to the why, it looks like she has known about this prophecy, and showed up in Japan when she did because of the prophecy soon beginning. We've been seeing her slowly sew the seeds of humanity's fall, but none of it really is clicking yet. Death herself appeared on her own, but what are the chances that it was right in front of Asa and Yoru ... ? Was it deliberate? Is there something that Kiga and Death need with Yoru to cause the prophecy to be fulfilled? Is Kiga even in on it? I see there being two scenarios right now, either Kiga has been trying to toughen Yoru up and follow her around to prepare her or somehow try to prevent Death from arriving (it would explain maybe why she doesn't try to hide her identity with a name like "Fami,") OR She is working with the Death Devil (her sister) and trying to coerce Yoru into joining her into doing whatever. It's most likely the latter. The way I see it, Yoru kind of wants to do her own thing, the way Makima snuck her way into society and became politically very powerful for her own benefit, she got to her position because of her grudge against Pochita -- Yoru also has a grudge as well, but she is clearly much more childish than Makima was in her efforts. Maybe Makima and Yoru are alike in that they don't want the world to fall apart the way their sisters do? Yoru seemed to just not want to talk to Asa about Kiga, so they probably aren't on speaking terms at all, like she left their little quadrio of Horsemen to go do her own thing... Now Kiga and Death have made themselves known and they need Yoru (and probably Nayuta) to complete the prophecy to end the world or whatever. Obviously, that's why we follow Asa, because she will probably not want to go through with this! The pace of Part 2 is finally shifting!! I am all in for the madness to finally start!! I welcome Death with open arms!!!!  |

| Holy shit. This chapter blew my mind. Arguably the best chapter of part 2. I am genuinely shocked by everything that happened. I am not sure how is Nostradamus prophecy is related to Fami but we know that she wants to make it a reality. Also Death Devil shows up. The devil that created the concept of fear itself has to be the death devil. Yoru seems entirely powerless compared to her. Now we know why Yoshida said that "can Chainsaw Man eat the death devil for us" back in the aquarium arc. Him and public safety are betting on Denji to defeat the Death Devil. I am extremely intrigued what's gonna happen next. What does Death wants? What does Fami wants? How is this prediction related to the horsemen's? What does Chainsaw Man has to do with all this? I can't wait for all these questions to be answered. Overall chapter rating:-6/5 |

| Oh the fuck, so rare to find a CSM chapter leak. Not only that, but this chapter is crazy Death Devil reveal already?? That would be fucking insane. Coming out of those corpses... pretty cool imagery, but Darkness Devil's reveal was much more dreadful... which makes me think this might just not be the Death Devil yet. Could be another Primordial Devil. I found it really funny how that guy and his gf just decided to kill themselves lol. I love how they have CSM pillows on the couch. Also proves Asa didn't really think about killing herself in the previous chapter. Friendly reminder that there's a baby on the panel where people are falling off the building. Idk I really am not sure that this is the Death Devil yet. She doesn't resemble none of her sisters, doesn't have much of a human form like them. Also why would the Death Devil force everyone in the building to commit suicide, when Death is such a broad term and they could've died in many ways? Fami did say that her name is the root of all fear... and Death is the root of all fear... Fami, Nayuta and Yoru DO hype this Devil up but I'm not sure yet |

| 4/5 Great freaking chapter dude, one of the best so far. Fujimotor expanding in his lore and really leaving us craving for more We start off with Fami & Yoshida having a random lunch session in what I'm assuming is the same restaurant Yoshida invited Denji to in chapter 103. Fami is a binge-eater, love it!! Could also be because she's literally the Famine or Hunger devil. The irony of Famine devil being hungry all the time is something I can stick by😂. I guess this chapter confirmed that Yoshida & Fami are not really in kahoots with each other but could be fighting against a common enemy? Fujimoto just had to bring in another real life event (Nostradamus prophecies) into his lore, didn't he? I love when he blurs fact & fiction together in his stories. In this case, since the story is set in the late 90's, it's totally justified. Speaking of Nostradamus prophecies, He also prohecised Nuclear weapons which just so happen to be a major plot detail that we started out with in part 2. As for the July prophecy, an anti-christ entity was to be descended from the sky, causing utter havoc & apocalypse in human realm. Taking Fami's monologue on primal fear into account, its pretty clear that everything is alluding to Death here. I still have my doubts but it's almost certain now We cut to this regular couple, talking normal life and suddenly outta nowhere, they jump of their balconies plumetting to their deaths. So sudden & ominously presented that i was literally gasping. The Ruler sword is cute but even Yoru seems to be very wary of this particular devil and even admits defeat and starts to run. A devil forms behind her, a weird looking design sure but definitely not Death devil itself . Could be something like suicide devil as suicide is a part of death, so on & so forth but we'll see Brilliant lore-centric chapter which we rarely get from CSM. No Denji & Nayuta this chapter but it's very clear that Fujimoto is cooking something really massive here and I have my guard up proactively |

| Huh well the official translation changes the chapter completely. Now it's obvious that that isn't the Death Devil like we thought. Fami said it's "The first of the devils who will shepherd the world to the ultimate terror" and that it's a Devil of one of the Primal fears. |

| OKay so theoretically part 2 will be about saving the world/stopping this prophecy thing, I wonder how Asa and the War Devil will be involved with that. I know Denji's definitely going to be an important player, and Nayuta might also be pretty important, though I'm excited to see how this is going to go in the long run. I'm also guessing that might be something like a suicide devil, it has many arms and one of the ways to harm yourself involves cutting your wrists and stuff and wrists are on arms so... Idk maybe it's something else, it's cool how Yoru's able to maybe recognize who that was? Hoping that's not death devil because that would definitely be too op and early. |

| CSM is getting spicy now. Yoshida confronts Fami about a Doomsday Prophecy, and that Devil at the end was creepy as hell. Lots of speculation that it's Death, but we'll just have to wait and see what Fujimoto is cooking. These next chapters are about to be crazy. |

| Fudgin neat chapter cause i love Yoshida since he looks so silly at times but actually is serious at his job. It's like he can adapt/mimic the environment or situation very well like with Denji then with Asa (LOL) and now with Kiga. You can clearly see he's super cautious while demanding and patient for answers from her. I mean he's not contracted with the octopus devil for nothin. Also that Nostradamus theory is goated, can't wait for more big events in the near future especially 1999 there. |

| I am getting the bigger picture of what I am seeing on the whole saga (or I might be wrong) First saga was more focused on phobia (bomb, shark, ghost or etc..) Now, the second saga of chainsaw man tackles more on fear basing on theology (like seven deadly sins and four horseman of apocalypse) Getting the idea that denji ain't the MC of this saga. Though not sure about the Devil but the Death Devil is the most obvious one or it could be anything like sin devil? |
