The opening is my favourite part of anime but I can see why other people might think it is lame.

Usually, no. Only OP I ever skipped was My Hero Academia's third OP.

Generally no, though if I've seen it I may walk away as the music plays since I can still hear it from elsewhere.

Exceptions are
* the rare instances where the song annoys me
* if I've just seen it way too many times already (which almost never happens for a 1 or 2 cour show)
* if I'm watching multiple episodes in a row and the ED/OP interrupts the flow of the feel. In these cases I will watch OP and ED each at least once at the beginning and end of the several episodes.
Avatar character is Gabriel from Gabriel DropOut.

Well sometimes I let it play in the background while I do something else, if that counts.

Most of the times I skip the OP because the majority of them tend to spoil some characters that appear or evens that happen later on, so I watch them once I am halfway through the anime. If I end up liking the OP then I don't skip it in the rest of the episodes, but if I don't then I just skip it.

As for EDs, I usually listen to them once and if I like it then I leave it playing in the background once the episodes are over lmao.

Only when i am binge watching or in a hurry(for example mornings before going to work). However when I am binge watching, I always watch the op and ed at least one time (every op and ed in case of anime with multiple ops and eds) and I watch it in the final episode for a better sense of clousure :)

Most of the time I do skip the opening, for 2 reasons:

1) Most anime OPs don't appeal to me.
2) I want to finish the episode early, so I can get back to homework.

I never watch the ED of an anime, because it's always too long.

I only skip the op if the video is always freezing, the song is bad or if a cliffhanger made me want to see the action already. With the closing song, I would listen to it if its good song and if not, Im done lol

Skip.

Exception is when it somehow enhances the feel of the show.

Yes, I think it's a waste of time.

It woud be enough that the first eps of a anime had a OP and ED.
+ in my case I normal don't enjoy the OP or ED's.
The thing is I i'm not a huge fan of the music, even of the animation is amazing it can't make up for how bad I think the music is.

Shougo no Shana first ED.
Ergo Proyx's OP is 2 of a huge amount of OP's and ED's that I like.

And I have watched 2k shows in around 4 years, if I watched OP and ED each time I started a new ep I woud have wasted a huge amount of time + I woud get angry as I don't enjoy the music.

The music is the biggest problem as it dosen't get me going as it might do on some poeple. In my ears it's just bad noise's that is giving me a headache in a huge amount of cases.

Even when it comes to my favorite shows I normal ignor the OP's and ED's.

If people enjoy watching them good for them, but I don't think I will ever join the good side of enjoying OP's and ED's.

I always at least give the OP and ED a watch the first time I see it as I really do enjoy anime OP's/ED's. Though even for ones I like it you eventually just skip past it after seeing it a few times. The exception to this would be OP's that I felt enhanced the feel of the show like Mushishi's OP/EDs where I always watched it both the OP and ED in full (partially because the ED was always new and drawn from that episode's soundtrack)

I always watch both OP and ED for the first episode. After that, it depends on how much I like the song. Though if I'm watching several episodes of something in a row, I usually skip no matter how much I like it just to save some time.

I skip most OPs as i feel like they have spoilers, then i would listen to it at the end of the series or end of the cour before the OPs change. With EDs i will listen to it at the end of the first episode, if i like it i will listen to it at the end of each episode unless im binge watching it then i might skip it. Any OP or ED i like will end up saved to a playlist with my favourite OSTs.

I'll usually watch longer anime in three episode chunks. And I'll watch the openings and endings once each per chunk. With a few exceptions.

If I really love an opening or ending, I'll watch it every single episode. Like Melissa from FMA.
If I actually can't stand it, I'll skip over it every time until the anime gets a new one. Like Ready Steady Go from FMA.

I used to always skip them, but nowadays I never do. I just sit back scrolling through my phone if I truly I don't like the song/visuals, but it just doesn't feel right completely ignoring them.

Oof... A lot of them are better than the ops though in my opinion, and even if that's not the case, they usually still have good animation so I always watch them, only exceptions being if they're credits scrolling down a black screen.

If its good I'll usually listen the first 3-5 times until I get tired of it/just want to get to the episode. If it's amazing I'll listen every time. If not, probably skip after the first or second listen.

Most of the time, yes. Seasonals that I'm watching that are ongoing I'll watch the op and ed but animes that I've picked up most of the time I'll skip them, I'll watch the op and ed fully on the first ep then just skip for the rest. Only anime that I picked up and watched the op is the Monogatari Series

I skip almost all of them. Most are simply not good enough to waste the 1.30 min they last (and OPs at least have more than a few share of "spoilers", which I have no interest in). Some are really good though and I won't mind listening to them (OPs at least, ED I can't be bothered, no matter how good they are, with the exception of those from Tonari no Seki-kun and Danshi Kokousei no Nichijou).

I always watch them the first time and then skip them each time after that.

Exceptions to skipping them on the subsequent episodes after the first are if I particularly love the OP, the show, or both.

Nah, most are boring unless the ED are weird, funny, or have good music. But everyone with their fetishes.

Well this is strange but I almost never skip OPs and EDs if a female is singing the song but about male ones again I at least watch it 2 or 3 times but if it don't catch my interest I skip it. The most recent anime comes to my mind that I skipped OPs and EDs is Fruits Basket 2019

I skipped an OP only once before, I gave it another chance and I don’t regret it. There’s no such thing as a bad anime opening, you just have to listen a few times before you get into its groove. I could listen to all of them for hours (and I already have.)

I don’t watch EDs. None of them were bad, I just can’t keep watching after that point, no matter how good the song.

Yes, I usually skip them. But if the opening was new, like for example One Piece changes its op, I'll try giving them a shot. But when I'm about to move into another episode, I'll usually skip the opening. I'll listen to its op if I feel like I wanted to.
