I used to eat before bed but only cause I stayed up all night watching my fav anime titles eehee. I try not to make it a habbit since my stomach also needs the rest.
What's your take on this? (Poll added in)

You mean dinner? Or like a snack before sleeping?

I eat dinner coz I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night starving. Nothing worse than that.

Sometimes I like to have a late night snack. Stuff like turkey sandwiches, yogurt, oatmeal, etc. satiate a fella's cravings

Yes because I have a 3-9 shift so I usually wake up at around noon and skip breakfast (or have it for lunch) so dinner becomes lunch. I usually eat around 10 at night and watch anime or play games until I go to bed around 2 in the morning.

I eat whenever I'm hungry. I'm really underweight for my height so I need all the calories I can get, whether it's before bed or not. >_>

I eat a little lunch at (1:00 pm) and a little dinner at (1:00 am after work), and some little snacks during the day. That's all. And I always feel dizzy, fainty, maybe because I don't eat much idk.

Sometimes. It depends on my calorie intake that day leading up to that moment.

Contrary to popular belief, when you eat during any ~7 day interval does not matter, let alone when you eat in one 24 hour period. Your body doesn't really give a crap. It'll adapt to whatever schedule you set for yourself unless you already have some health condition that impedes you.

I'd hatch a guess and say it's lack of water, but I would have no idea because I'm not you. When I go 20+ hours without eating and I get dizzy, I know I didn't have enough water. I experimented with this for about 7 months.

Actually everything in my family happens late, so usually we eat dinner at like 9-11 pm, so yeah sometimes

Only a small snack, or a glass of milk/juice sometimes. It's not good to go to sleep with your stomach overly full.

I voted rarely cause I'll have brushed my teeth already by then eehee. Food just doesn't taste the same after brushing. :P

I used to drink lots of milky milk at night when I was 5 though nowadays I'll drink juice at times too. I overate once only cause I didn't measure myself as I was watching a really good animu episode and lost track of time and what I ate. :c (My stockach hurt real bad and I wanted to barf)

I pretty much eat every night before I sleep because having something in my stomach helps me sleep easier.

I just watch what I eat though. Like I stay away from breads and such, because going to sleep on carbs is asking to put on unneeded weight.

The opposite thing happens to me. Whenever I do eat before bed I won't find any sleep and stay up pretty much all night listening to music. x3

i have pretty terrible eating habits but mostly i just eat whenever i feel like it. but yeah sometimes if i've eaten quite a bit
i'll start feeling a bit tired - and then i'll inevitably pass out on a full stomach ... i reckon it's pretty bad for digestion but
i sleep on my side as well which i hear helps aid it to some extent.

I read somewhere that eating right before bed isn't good for you. Can't remember where though. But I try to avoid eating more than a little snack right before bed. I definitely notice that I feel worse in the morning if I eat something big and then sleep within an hour or so, and sometimes wake up feeling awful depending on what the food is.

Thought ya did vomit. My mother came home late from work and gave me a chicken sandwhich that she didn't refrigerate all day and I puked all midnight. I had to turn off my music cause I couldn't even stand hearing any sound for some reason. (my hears were hurting real bad too)

I simply can't sleep if I eat before bed cause my stomach will spend all night trying to digest the food and keep me awake. Nowadays I just eat 3 hours before bed or my stomach will growl at me all night from hunger hihi.

I think that's probably why it's best to avoid it, something to do with digestion. I've noticed the times I feel the worst are if I eat like a big fast food meal or something (so unhealthy, processed hard to digest food) right before sleeping. This wouldn't happen under normal circumstances but sometimes if I'm out with my friends or whatever things just go that way.

It's basically like the food version of a hangover at that point :P

I don't eat right before sleep, but I eat around 1 or maybe 2 hours before that, but mostly snacks since I am watching dramas, and I need snacks everytime I watch something.

Not really. I try to keep dinner (which I eat anywhere between 7-9 p.m.) my last food consumption of the day. Every now and then if for whatever reason I end up being awake longer than usual, I'll give into the urge and have a snack around 1 or 2 a.m. But I'd say that only happens once or twice a month, fortunately.

Maybe two hours before. Any closer and it's just a snack of nuts and cheese or something.

Do you not have breakfast cause of your busy schedule or just cause you don't enjoy it? I myself didn't eat breakfast much during the week though my momma told me that we need to digest something during the mornings or our body acids will start up and our stomach will hurt real bad. Nowadays one of my friends still keeps breakfast and just has brunch to make up for a lost meal.

It's because I'd much rather sleep. Growing up I always heard about the stomach acid thing and I would always eat breakfast, but now that I've gotten older and more tired, I find sleep to be so much more valuable. I might try to go back to eating breakfast every day and see how it affects me.

If there's cup o noodles (preferably black shin) in the house I eat it. It helps me fall asleep.
And then sometimes I eat because I wanna stay up late.

I used to eat late at night over the past few years, because I got used to it and it also felt more comfortable for me to sleep with a full stomach. But over time, it left me with more problems like waking up thirsty in the middle of night a few times per night.

Ever since I have seen my blood sugar levels and have talked to my doctor about it, I have started to eat mostly around 8-9 pm (though yesterday was an exception with slightly before 10 pm) instead of 10 pm till much past 11 pm during the week and up to close to 2 am on weekends and during vacations.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to have regular mealtimes during the day with more rest in the late hours when it's dark (not talking about sunlight past 10 pm around the summer solstice during Daylight Saving Time and/or about polar regions).

Judging by the picture, its snacks you are talking about. In that case, no. Dont wanna mess up my intestinal schedule on work days. On weekends, except Sunday night, anything goes, from chips to honey!

If I don't have enough food before bed, I'll just lie there all night (or day; my schedule is random) without being able to sleep.

I have a fast metabolism, so I need fuel! The body uses lots of energy to repair itself during sleep.

Seeing as I only have one meal a day, I occasionally eat some snack depending on if I'm hungry or not.
Because I eat only one meal, sometime I'd get a surge of hunger an hour or two before bed and that's when I'd eat some snack to satiate this hunger.
