Recently I have been thinking how Sukasuka has a poor ending that ended on a cliffhanger without a season 2. I thought the series was fun though. What are series that ended bad, but you thought were fun overall?

This pretty much describes like 9 out of every 10 anime I watch. Having a decent conclusion seems like a thing of the past nowadays...

I would say Erased. Although I didn’t think the ending was as bad as others say, it was a bit anticlimactic for me. Other than that I really enjoyed the series and it was my favorite of winter 2016.

Akuma no Riddle had a deus ex machina ending which pretty much blew the weight off of the preceding episodes. Though that still doesn't change the fact that the show on the whole was one hell of a ride.

Nothing much to say here because the ending is what decides a score for me so if the anime has the shit ending even though i enjoyed most of it it's not gonna get a score of 5 or higher from me.

the ending makes or breaks the series... NOT SEASONS SERIES>>>>

btw just watched suka suka few hrs ago myself.

I must say, it had a very satisfying end. downer maybe? tragic? yes. but that doesnt make it a bad ending. and yes for 12 eps the world building was epic. but the story was never abt the world. its not HXH, its all abt chtolly. it was her story.

and unless you misunderstood what happened, the story was wrapped up pretty well.

Psycho-Pass and Monster, both built so much tension that I felt didn't quite unleashed in a satisfying way towards the end.

most long term weekly anime (shonen jump series) tend to have pretty bad downfalls because when you have to push out content every single week you cant really complete and continue the story as you wish, so like naruto and bleach are big ones.
Inuyasha, the actual ending wasnt too bad but the last season/chapters were just sorta like 'we get it naraku'
but my big one--the anime adaptation of violet evergarden, hooooo boy did they screw everyone over! the light novel actually like completes the story.
if you want the gist go on wikia.

Durarara!!!, mostly because I felt that the ending was kinda rushed, they had a lot of loose ends to tie and they did so as fast as they could, in less than 10 minutes.

Sukasuka had a good ending, considering it's an unfinished story it's impressive, perhaps a 8/10 ending to a 6~7/10 show

Pretty much most decent 12 episode anime and/or based on incomplete source material.....ok I'll list some actual shows:

No game no life: manga bait ending but I loved the chess battle.

Spice and Wolf season 2: Needed season 3 but like it's predecesor had fantastic banter and character dynamic between it's two leads.

Both Last exile series: steampunk airship battle epics are basically good by default both had kinda clusterf*ck endings from a plot perspective though.

Code Geass season 1: Loved this season right up until the end but the stuff with Euphemia and Geass and Nina and explosives were so very stupid.

Oreimo too... I would've been 100x better off not seeing the specials for the 2nd season. That build up, all for naught.

White Album 2, Boku Dake ga Inai Machi(Erased) and Darling in the FranXX only comes to mind at the moment.
Fairy Tail(2018) if they adapt the manga in full might be a possible one too.

(Before saying anything I want to remind people that it's entirely my biased opinion so those who get offended by people having opinions, don't read further.)

1. Monster
Monster is a great anime but it's ending is too ambiguous for its own good.

2. Erased
Despite having good plot twists and intense suspense, the ending was simply SHIT, PLAIN OLD FUCKING SHIT.

3. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Even though it's the highest rated anime on MAL, it's just like any other shounen anime and a bit clichéd.

4. Neon Genesis Evangelion
I get it. It's popular, it's deep but I could not get the so-called "DEEP SYMBOLISM".

What did you guys dislike in Charlotte's ending?

I remember i didn't like Guilty Crown's ending back then.
I got a bit annoyed at Higashi no Eden's ending too

Mawaru Penguindrum

Macross F. It was not really a "bad ending" tbh. Just didn't like the fact that

I would say Bleach, I really enjoyed the series, it's one of my favorites, but the anime's ending was very pour, and the manga's end was a disappointment...

Deadman Wonderland too, it was very "what will happen next?".

I loved Death Parade too, but the end was somewhat strange, I didn't hate it though...

The second half plot wasn't that good comapared to the episodic start, but ok, still fine. However, the last few episodes contained an anticlimatic confession(that was literally the worst part) and putting the stuff with collecting all abilities into one episode was the definition of rushed.

Not cuz I wanted the guy to end up with the main girl or anything, but dang the mom deserved better. Like it'd be cooler if like, Satoru lived out his childhood? I wanted to see him get closer with his mom and stuff since you don't see that often. Don't care about the pairings at the end though, just wanted some fluffy ending or something. Oh well, I find my complaints stupid myself, but I just wanted a too-good to be true ending.

Here is something cool to think about - even though he was "spoiler" at the end - he got to live out his childhood - technically twice - further he did develop a relationship with his mother even is she isn't aware of it. Those experiences and memories are there so their relationship won't even need "patching" - it will be odd for her but she is still the same woman and if she understood his "condition" in the beginning she will easily understand it from the new perspective. Yes, she lived a tough life up until the point of the conclusion - but it will definitely be easy street for her relationship wise with her son. That foundation is already there even if she isn't aware of it.

Definitely the best anime mother out there, she was so well crafted. probably my favorite part of the story.

Death Note, I would say.
It has a good story, even after L died and Near took over from him. I enjoyed the game between L and Light. Later on, it remained good, because with Mello and Near, it became a three man race.
But I think the ending was terrible. I hoped it would have been more expecting; Light would have had a plan B and possibly C too and Misa could have interfered, but no.
