| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well that makes sense. We got a lot of flashbacks between Theodor and Lise this episode. In the meantime, we find out more about their personal lives. Theordor, why you hide those naughty magazines? Is it just me or did the music get better for the fighting scenes? At least I thought so. The action was neat but also violent as usual. Lise's a cutie :3  |

| I was shocked to see the little sister come into play so soon =o I really like her character as well as all of her interactions with Theodor both past and present....Sucks that she's most likely going to be a brainwashed spy though The joint operation battle thing was pretty neat too....My only gripe with this episode was the megane during the battle, she was being so damn stubborn and annoying, but other than that it was good stuff I have a question for LN readers though, is there going to be any romance type of stuff with Theodor and one of the girls? Because that teasing with Iris and blondes by Lise made me want to ship Iris with Theodor even more lol |

I don't think Theo even gets to kiss a girl. Requiem and Bernhard im Schatten have a much more heavy focus on romance. | So another character introduction and this time one that hate East Germans. Well in any case it was interesting the see UN forces tho i have to say many countries and units where missing. Well many countries supported West Germany during the cold war so it's understandable not all of them where mentioned. Unit wise however the F-18 and the Tornado where mentioned but i am missing some other units which where new at that time and in use of European countries like the F-16 Falcon or the Harrier. The F-4 wasn't mentioned this time so i din't expect the F-5(NF-5) or the F-104 to make an appearance, since they where talking about elite units. That being said even if they are elite units this doesn't necessarily mean that they are using the latest models. It was something like eating the corpse and she was joking that you wouldnt like that... unless you are English (saying that britannian food is as bad as eating an alien more or loess if I remember correctly that scene). |
| Pacing was much better this episode. I really enjoyed the lighthearted moments since it served as a much-needed tension breaker. I also found the battle scene to be quite exceptional and well done, portraying it as a much "larger" assault plan. It's great seeing them work well together now that everyone is much more comfortable. This show is definitely underrated, since it gets better each episode. But as a LN reader, I still wish this show was 24 episodes to adapt the entirety of all the content. Overall, superb episode. |

| Excellent episode mixing both a reunion between two characters and some good action. Always enjoyed the strategic anti-BETA operations of Muv-Luv. I honestly expected someone from squad 666 to die right at the end to the artillery fire. Someone like Jeckeln who probably dreams of politics at night and seems angry most of the time. I wouldn't want her as my commander(who would?)... Thank goodness for Irisdina. |
