| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Hmm...I have mixed feelings on this. On most parts, it was decent with ufotable quality. Kinda curious what other creatures exists in this franchise though besides that overgrown spider. I think Sorey finds the role of the MC kinda well. Not sure about Alisha yet although the girl has some potentials. Mikleo is quite an unique character in this special imo for his abilities. And not to mention, he can work well with Sorey as a team. Action was good and OST was godly. It's also kinda funny how much they try to promote this will all the ads. Can't be helped though since the game is coming next year. The ending was really underwhelming. |

| The main guy, who is the only human in the world and can see the people there, and his friend helps out each other. They met a human girl who cannot see others. She sounds a bit more like Mizuki-san than Kayano-san, though. Two humans spend time together. A "monster" ate one of the villagers... After showing firework magic, she left. After realizing the monster's appearance is not related to human girl, the two started to travel. Then it connects to the game, which the rest of time introduces it. |

| well, tbh I was only expecting this to be a 10-15 minute ova to promote the game. a whole hour sounds pretty good, I dont know who'd expect a movie long thing out of this special like with vesperia. it'll probably take a while for the subs to come out, but I'd rather play the game first then watch the prequel/prologue. |

| OMFG I WANT TO PLAY THIS : O________________ Currently playing Tales of Hearts R and Xilla 2 <3 (3rd Plathru) Have all the other Tales games <3 I pretended I was playing this while watching!!! The music gave me goosebumps Boss OST when they fought the spider? Battle theme OST when they fought Fox Hyouma <3 So Alisha can't see the Seraphs but maybe later on as she is with Sorey and Mikleo. Humans ans Seraphs coexisting eh. |

| I promised myself that I wouldnt watch it yet(to prevent hype) but I caved in and watched it anyway and well what can I say.. the animation was ufotable good, I like mikulio and sorey is an innocent goody-too-shoe shounen boy just as I expected.the only part I didnt like was when they just stood there and watched the guy eat someone then comically scream "you eat maison!" as if they were in south park talking about a killed kenny. that scene was so bad it reminds me of when alvin shot leia and jude and him just ignored it |

| Aside from the guy dying getting glossed over i really enjoyed this, i was surprised that it was 40 mintues long cause it felt like it was much shorter, im much more optimistic about the game now as the story actually seems liek its got way more potential than initially i thought. My big take away was the ost, sakuraba's osts are usually pretty......bland, like there is almost always a few REALLY amazing songs on there but generally most of it is really weak, seeing that the guy who did kyousogiga and god eater's ost was composing this alongside him i was really curious how this ones ost would turn out, while not radically different than what a normal tales ost is like this deifnetly felt alot better than ones before it and really hope there are some really amazing tracks later in the game. Now time to be jealous of japan for only having to wait 2 weeks while we wait 6 months. |

| My first ufotable animated work and wow, they really have some amazing animation. Sorey is great, been a while since we had a great protagonist. Alicia was fine, wish we could see her fighting. Someone was eaten alive and grandpa's smiling. More like everyone wth? Was Maisen's existence dat meaningless? Found that moment utterly ridiculous. Other than the above mentioned problem, rest was great. I want more of those ruins and more Sorey. This needs a tv anime badly. The last moments were just... whoa. 8.5/10 |

| I enjoyed it pretty much. It feels like I'm playing the game. It feels like I want to join and watch Mikleo and Sorey's adventure outside their village. Too bad I don't have a Playstation console, but I'm hoping for a tv series to come out someday. |
| Ufptable provided some great backgrounds, character art and animation, but I felt the 2 fight scenes were fairly disappointing. After the absolutely superb fight choreography they provided in Kara no Kyoukai, Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, this just doesn't compare at all in that regard. Fight scenes aren't everything of course, I just expected better from the same people that brought us this: http://youtu.be/EP4BriB-9hw?t=2m58s That aside, it gave us a good taste of what the world is like, some of the terminology and what (appears to be at least) the main trio is like. Sorey seems a bit standard as far as Tales protags go, but I think this is offset well by Mikleo. Their relationship is great fun to watch and makes me forget that Sorey is old hat. Mikleo himself seems like a decent character in his own right, but I think him being a Seraph makes him even more interesting. I wondering how that is going to play into the story of the game I wanted to see more of Alisha in this since her kind of character appeals to my tastes, and what I saw of her reaffirms this. She's a chivalrous and honorable knight with a bit of a soft side to her. I just love that shit. Bonus points for her being a spear user. Overall, it's a nice warm up for the game itself which looks like it's shaping up to be a memorable title. |

I get that the elder didnt want slay to blame himself because of...well, reasons? but the weird part is how no one seemed to care about his death, not even a few mourners just fireworks, they glossed over it ike nothing happened. yeah, Lloyd and slay both did similar things but Lloyd was kicked out but slay chose to leave. luke "accidently" killed a citys worth of people and is shunned by the party instead. the funniest part of this though was slay and mik doing nothing as foxguy swallows maisen, I hope they do it better in the game. |

I sad the two fights that we got were unimpressive and that I've seen much better from the studio. That's why I linked the Archer vs Lancer fight to demonstrate that they're capable of much better fights. I didn't want MORE fights, I simply wanted the fights that we did get to be on the same level as the fight that I linked. |

OMG.... Maybe a sword rain or a tiger blade would have been nice. | Well, this was really well done - the world-building was great, the characters were likable and fresh, the cliffhanger almost killed me ;_ ; I seriously wish they make OVA or series on Zesteria! |
