| That was an unexpected way for Raphtalia to meet Glass and the others again, except it wasn't a pleasant one with everyone tied up. On the other hand, it's great to see them free again. Raphtalia obviously wants to return to Naofumi. This episode also further shows how much Raphtalia misses Naofumi, not that it's a surprise to anyone at this point. Glad to see her reunite with Naofumi again. |

| Animation quality was extremely ass especially during the fight scenes, legit felt like a PowerPoint at points today. Choreography was also really bad. For having 3 years to make this it really feels like kinema were under some big constraints. Again they changed things around especially with how Raphtalia and naofumi get reunited. It really feels like the production committee are just afraid of having the two of them be apart for more than an episode because they think the fanbase will just drop the show.. even A-1 didn’t push Kirito and asuna this hard. It may seem like I’m shitting on the series but I’m just disappointed after being 22 books into this and it being one of my fave LNs. |

| Glass and the others are really good people but they are enemies but they help rapthalia with food and a weapon. In the end raphtalia is the who becomes the katana. |

| Oh boy, so many problems with this anime original episode... - Crammed a lot of stuff into a single episode - Budget fights - Characters teleport to places without guards chasing them - Milking smol-Raphtalia for views - Naked Raphtalia for fanservice - Illogical chain of events. Kyo said to bring Raphtalia to his lab so he can experiment on her. But instead she's in prison for some reason... - They cut out so many scenes of L'Arch's group that it feels illogical for them to help Raphtalia in any way. They went from enemies to allies offscreen... - Naofumi and Raphtalia reunion didn't have weight. They were separated for only a day There's a perfect source material for this arc. The studio only had one job, to follow it! |
| At this point I don't know what to feel about this season anymore, it's like they're just jumping from one major event to other. And also by no means that was an emotional reunion. |

| I'm happy too see Naofumi (and gang) reunite with Raphtalia, but it felt too rushed :/ The studio team didn't want to waste any time following the progress like in the manga and cut too many scenes in it, which the result didn't make any sense. |

| Wtf even is happening? She just stumbles upon a shrine that just happens to be the one shrine that servers the hero she just became, and then a random woman strips her and give her new clothes????? And wtf even was that battle lol. |

| Honestly, there was nothing more expected than Raphtalia getting chosen as the wielder of that Katana, the moment they said that the katana chooses it's master, I knew it would choose Raphtalia. Hmm I understand that Raphtalia is now the sword wielder hero but how tf did she suddenly become so powerful, even thought up names and stuff for her moves and techniques/attacks which I don't believe she got any chance to explore or practice. Did she just become OP after getting the sword? Anyway, no more smol Raphtalia :/ But gotta say the quality has dropped a lot, everything after Raphtalia getting that weapon just seemed bullshit and extremely generic (Raphtalia acting strong and confident, defeating/killing stuff then gets weak and a dangerous enemy appraoches and she starts thinking this is the end and at the last moment Naofumi comes and saves her), I mean wtf? Well the hug at the end made up for the bullshit so 4/5. After this episode I'm not even mad about the current scores of this season, I'm disappointed, this won't be getting more than 6/10 from me if this keeps on going. Even if it improves in the last few episodes still it doesn't deserve more than 7/10. |

| Raphtalia is expected to be captured by Kyo's army, but for the Vassal Heroes to be together as well, that was a twist, but a very bad one of rearranging events from the light novel...yet again. As proven with the Spirit Tortoise arc, this directing decision already hurt the season enough on top of what's considered as one of the worst arcs of the series, so "twice bitten, thrice unashamed" of whatever this season is trying to "hype" up for Season 3 coming the next year or so. The appeal for smol-Raphatally is there, but this episode almost treats it like fanservice like as if the staff all knew that milking her presence and a bit of nakedness will do wonders. Japan loves it, everywhere else hates it. The only highlight is the Katana Vassal Weapon, to be a Hero just like L'Arc, Theresia and Glass. But for Raphtalia to "magically" obtain the katana and break the Slave crest curse in the process, to only go in hiding in hopes of seeing Naofumi and the gang again, her growth is just inconsistent, not to mention the less-than-stellar fight. Also, the BGM having some tunes akin out from a jazz bar definitely went very off, and to wrap things up, a reconciliation that has a resolution, but the payoff was severely lifeless. The Shield Hero has finally reached new lows... |

| Man.. this episode felt so empty.. comparing the Reunion from Lena and Shin to Raphtalia and Shield Hero.. and god.. the whole arc felt so freaking unnecessary.. Like the whole gang could have accidently been in the Katana choosing ritual and Raphtalia "magically" becoming the Vessel.. and it still would be same.. Instead we got last 2 bland ass episodes.. This sequel was not as bad as The Promised Neverland sequel.. but it just might.. before they reach the finale.. Also.. ftw the author/studio just wanted to add Japanese theme clothes/backgrounds in a famtasy genre.. smh |

| Being captured and imprisoned was bad but it was damm fortunate that Raphtalia ended up in the same cell as L'arc and his team. The mountain prison castle though looks really nice though. So even if break free from the cells you're still be too tired to resist the guards huh. In a way vassal weapons are this world's version of cardinal weapons. Breaking out though was easier than i thought. Poor Therese though having to sell her prized gems to enable them to regain their strength. Have to say Kimono's really look pretty normal on L'arc and his team while looking odd on Naofumi. The Katana choosing Raphtalia as its wielder sure ended up causing one hell of a crisis for her though. Still it was nice to hear her heartfelt desires that motivated her to get back to Naofumi. It's fortunate that Raphtalia was found by a ally though. Its funny that Kazuki is exactly this world's version of bitch. The miko outfit though really looks nice on Raphtalia. Im so glad to see the team reunited once more. |

| The fight scenes were definitely a downgrade this episode, and the reunion happened a bit too quickly, though I haven't read the source material so I don't know how it turns out in there. Kinema is probably focusing on MiA S2, so I'll go in the next three episodes with very low expectations. Raphtalia fan service is unnecessary, bit off-putting honestly. |

| No more smol Raphtalia makes me feel a little sad, but it had to be done in order for her to become stronger. The episode overall felt a bit lacking. It's still good in most parts, but coming off from the previous episode, it did feel like it has taken a few stumbling steps backwards, especially with how Raphtalia conveniently got the katana vassal weapon, then after running off on her own in order to avoid her pursuers, stumbles upon a shrine that dedicates itself to the katana hero. The bonus fanservice of Raphtalia being stripped nude before given new clothes by the shrine maiden was unexpected, but I'm not complaining about it, either. =P While the fighting animation wasn't as good at it could've been, at least it was nice to see Raphtalia being able to hold her own for a bit with her new weapon before Naofumi's group finally reunited with her. Once again, the soundtrack still remains really nice. |

| This season is REALLY "The Downfall of the Shield Hero". Every single thing that happend in this episode feels so random, out of nowhere, out of left field & undeserved. What was the point of that prison we weren't there even for 5 minutes... give me back me fear for raphi's safety. Then the katana .... dafuq happend, raphi didn't even touch the damn thing. Not only the sword did not have any build up, but this is such a RANDOM power up. Aside from the badly paced & poorly executed plot. The animation was OK at its best and sleep inducing at its worst. |

The studio only had one job, to follow it! You forgot the Kazuki part doesn't recognize Raphtalia when holding the Katana, that breaks that change,raphatalia is in the Labyrinth... The Raphatalia Fanservice part was one of the worst things I've seen. Episode 10 would be the best ep, Raphatalia accepting the unrequited fate of being Katana's heroine and forgetting the slave coat of arms, so Raph was my favorite character, but it was destroyed... The service & flustered Glass were the only good things the episode had |

| With glass and the others, Raphtalia managed to escape and get free from this mess but for some reason she became the katana hero and got the sword (even beat that annoying dude) and it's so great that she got reunited with Naofumi and the girls! Raphtalia isn't a loli nor a slave anymore but she's back with Naofumi, that's perfect!! |

| Everyone loves Raphtalia, even sacred weapons from other worlds, it is a nice way to give her a well needed power up so she can keep up with Naofumi and Filo, same her losing her slave crest again giving her more of a mean of staing side to side with Naofumi, shame about the animation quality, it was pretty bad this episode and man, the studios really need to stop with the cum, was it for censorship since it was human blood or was it actually like a magic cut? |
