| I watched enough anime (all the top 100 but One Piece included so there is already a lot of hella overrated stuff there) that making a list would be too much, so I will go and say Little Witch Academia and the Love Live franchise instead because it immensely annoys me how these two manage to be rated higher than... well, most idol or magical girl anime I watched despite being worse than them, especially LWA which is directly just a terrible anime that somehow managed to make me despise a clumsy genki protagonist. Seeing Aikatsu under the 7.50 while the Love Live Movie is over the 8.00, or LWA at 8.10 while not a single Precure breaks the 8/10 zone (and most aren't even close) is borderline offensive to me. And I know more than enough that this is just because of popularity and how it inflates scores, with most casuals rating in a way more kind way than most people who eventually watch the ones I said and already have harsher rating systems, a friend gave an 8/10 to the last season of Doremi and that's like a crazy good score from his part, but the same feelings are a 10/10 to all the people who feel that way with LWA and the casuals who dislike it will still give like a 6 or a 7 which is way better than the 3-4 they would get with harsher systems, and all that crap only makes the difference in scores and popularity grow and grow, reeee. |

| Kimi no na wa...not like it's downright bad but one expects something life changing when you see the score (and people gushing) but the story is just so-so. Made in Abyss...People pick it up seeing the score, not knowing they just got roped into watching unapologetically ped* piece. Wolf Children...the characters are massively unlikeable and it's one of the 'playing it up on feelings" things, which by itself is unlikeable. |

OP I don't get the hostility towards Cowboy Bebop. Yes, it's not everybody cup of tea but it's nicely done also nobody forces you to watch it. Maybe you hate it's fandom but we are not that vocal at least from 10 or more years ago. |
