Does anyone else think Wolfwood is part of Legato's team?

They did say one of their members was late back then, plus Wolfwood and that samurai guy knew eachother.

I'm not sure how I feel about the arm turning into that sort of weapon. Least it was a cool episode. Poor merril.

Wow... nice episode :D
The one thing that saddens me is that Wolfwood is the last remaining member of Gung-Ho Guns. I was really hoping that he was on Vash's side. The odds are stacked against Vash. This is going to be good.

The moment I heard the Blade guy speak I knew he had the same voice as Shunsui from Bleach. Man, this show has an incredible cast of seiyuu and it surely deserves it.
Now that the real thing has started, I'll have to marathon the rest of the episodes.

A hole in the moon? Talk about a bit over the top.

I think Wolfwood is one of Legatos team.

This is starting to get crazy now. This series has went from a slightly exaggerated western, to robots and near superpowers, to... I'm not entirely sure. Some kind of seriously OP alien gun arm.

Even though the fight against the swordsman was terribly done, but I can see where all the money went in animation. Really cool twist. Wasn't expecting the gun to be that powerful.

And I find it kinda funny how people here put the Mega-Beam attack in the list of reasons why Vash is badass. Vash obviously hates the fact that he has such power and even worse that he can't control it. He is a good guy, but the power of his has already destroyed two cities. And even when no one died in them the city of July fell into total chaos.

Poor Vash. He never gets a break.

So, Vash is some kind of goofy alien man with guns for arms.

Huh...

As Shinobinomi mentioned, the animation in this episode was pretty sloppy until the final shot with the gun, the animation suddenly got pretty good. At first i thought he was ripping a whole in time and space, like Gurren Lagann, but it turns out he was shooting the moon... Wouldn't that cause all sorts of natural disasters on the planet?

Also, I firmly disagree with the insurance company. The first ever human disaster is this guy:

(at least if we're speaking chronologically)

Next up: FLASHBACK EPISODE!!! FINALLY SOME ANSWERS!!!!

Can't help but think the same way -.-

Well, at least we'll have Vash vs. Wolfwood fight and I hope it will rule.

This samurai was such a spoof... seriously, the irony behind his character became 100% obvious when he started to mumble about christian magic. Ok, let's say it again: SERIOUSLY? I know this is a gunman anime, but why did they have to troll the samurai?

I'm really curious to see whether Meryl and Milly follow Vash despite their company's orders to return to the office because their mission is pointless. I also cannot wait to get Vash's backstory and find out more about how he came to possess enough power to make a whole in the moon.

I am very impressed with how quickly the show has escalated. I was wondering until episode 12 why the show was so popular now with the last four episodes I am seeing why. The moon thing really shocked me. I am excited to watch episode 17 now.

WTH?! So many questions? What is Vash? Alien, Cyborg, mutant, god-like being, demon? I bet he and Legato are the same... whatever. So he did have a second gun! What happened to it? Was Legato using mind control on him to activate that energy cannon? Why can't Vash control it? sigh...

That ability was not a twist like some commenters mentioned, but I did not expect the second cybernetic arm.

Though this episode explained how Vash destroyed the city of July long ago, it did not explain how every citizen survived the initial blast, as they were shown to be in the rubble. With how Rai-Dei the Blade survived the explosion in this episode, I am wondering if perhaps it simply does not kill living beings somehow.
