| Just as soon as I start praising PA works for having a potential generational anime original on their hands, they waste two, likely three, episodes on this cringe incest arc that has nothing to do with the actual plot. wtf? Like fair enough Fides and Kalcrom could’ve been a nice sibling relationship/makeup story that leads us to another plot point, but having them be blood siblings and get together and pining for one another is so cringe man. Japan undefeated when it comes to ruining good set ups with weird sexual fetishes and then Akira over here trying to support them because of he and Towa’s relationship, which was weird, but at least they weren’t biologically related… odd storytelling decisions. With only 12 episodes idk how they’ll salvage it. |

| Well, I don't know what happened to this anime to suddenly start promoting incest. I guess they are throwing this "possibility" in a society where incest isn't condemnable, but I mean, incest is condemnable in society for a good reason, even a biological one, and I haven't heard of any population that promotes this (considering these 2 are blood siblings, different than what happens most of the times, nowadays not as much, where cousins and the such would get married). I don't know, this whole episode just felt weird because of that. They even tried to draw a parellel between Towasa and Akira's situation to this one, but these 2 weren't blood related. So at the middle of the episode I actively started to forget they were blood related siblings, and started to imagine they weren't blood related, to make the scenes more bearable. It's not like the anime is doing a good job at portraying a different view to incest than the one that (most of) us have and be tought provoking, since Akira barely comments on it. Anyways, Akira had the great idea to take the bullet for Yuugure, the Android. Ok Akira, we get it, you like getting shot. Not to worry, since he was completely fine in the preview of the next episode. I'm honestly surprised with how this anime fumbled so bad after the first 2 episodes (plus episode 0), like, just wow. And I suppose the anime is continuing going on this direction of presenting some stories of some characters they will eventually add, considering the opening. I just hope the next stories are actually better than what's been happening these last 2 episodes. I still feel like the anime will have it's good moments, because the ending hints for a twist at the end of the story, but I really hope that it's the majority of the anime, and not only like 2 episodes. P.A. Works is disappointing big time with this, I just hope this is a "bad phase" for the anime, and later it will pick on. This "mini" arc cost the anime 0.3 points already here on MAL, and after this one, I don't think it will stop dropping. But hey, the ending theme is amazing, the song is so soothing, and I feel like it would also be the perfect ending theme for Spy X Family Season 3 (considering what's happening over there, and the ending it has). At least the ending song is good! |

| daaaahhhhmmmm! :O dude's gotta get rid of that bad habit! jumpin in front of guns to save girls is baaaaad for your health! :O plus, what is up with the 1920's or 30's -ish American car? that makes absofreakinlutely zero sense. sure, they're a mafia... but this isn't The Roarin 20's or The Great Depression Chicago or New York. i'd say it has an electric starter, since blondie boy cranked it with a key in the dash instead of a front of the engine block removeable hand-crank. so it has to be something post 1910's or 20's when hand-cranks started being replaced by electric starting motors in American passenger cars. except for models set-up for cranks during emergencies like cold/freezing weather... which ruined many early liquid-cell car batteries. ya add 200 something years to an antique like that car looks like? you're talking a historic relic sitting in a museum entirely non-functional. or somebody's hand-made project car that just LOOKS like a period Ford, Chevy, etc. but all the 'guts' are ad-hoc modern components shoehorned inside the 'period' carriage mounted on a modern frame. plus, the suspension was a JOKE! did you see that piece of junk hit that rock? the wheel travel was stupid short! it was like the axels are bolted straight onto the frame with not even leaf-springs. |

| Akira and Yugure both finding themselves respective partners of the Lontano Family mafia, Kalcrom's dignified man's look, alongside Fides's confident expression, the trio has no choice to to really indulge in the double date between the siblings, in the midst of the proposition that blood-related siblings can ehlsea each other. Yet, it's this "love is in the air" feeling that warrants Kalcrom to want to be in on Yugure's idea to get her and Akira together, the fakery seems to be working for now. The free spirited Amoru getting lost causes both Akira and Yugure to find her...and also reminisce memories for the siblings in their key moments. It's obvious to Akira that the siblings are in love with each other, yet the siblings holding back their feelings for each other, it took until the final dinner date to confirm that when their father shows up to display the betrayal of the children, as well as securing Yugure before OWEL does. Once again, Akira is hit with deja vu from biting the bullet (as is what happened with Towasa), but in the name of convenience...? |

| Honestly, I don’t care about the whole “incest” thing. I usually get bored easily, but this show keeps me hooked. The pacing’s been really stable so far, and I hope it stays that way. I’m just curious about the bit of chaos that’s probably coming next and what kind of android mode Yugure will show off this time. (Looks like there'll be a little drama and fun) I originally started watching this because it had romance, but I soon realized it explores themes far beyond what I expected. Now I’m more interested in seeing where the story will go. Sometimes it doesn’t even feel like a romance, and there are moments where the logic seems a bit off, but I can overlook that. It’s still an enjoyable series overall. It feels like everyone is too focused on the whole “incest” thing. Instead of feeling disturbed, I think it’s better to just ignore that part, since it’s clearly being used as a plot element. This type of relationship dynamic has been used many times before. People can complain, but I doubt it would change much, and it might even disrupt the story’s structure. Imagine if they actually changed parts of the plot just because of negative comments. That would ruin the tone completely. I just hope the creators don’t listen to that noise. Since it’s an original series, I’m more worried about it losing its balance, as it already feels like it’s walking on a thin line right now. (And I chose not to check that spot shown in the last minute of the next episode preview. Honestly, it killed about half of my excitement) |
| While the topic of incest remains as contentious as ever, I do feel that this episode was an improvement over the previous one, mostly for the pacing that felt far less rushed. I also was amused with how Amoru acted towards Akira at times in an amusing way. It does make me wonder if she's got a crush on him. Either way, while Kalcrom and Fides struggle to make their move that they want, their father isn't one to hesitate. Hearing about Yugure being an android, he didn't waste time in swooping in like a hawk, ready to take action. I do respect Akira for stepping in to get Yugure out of harms way from a sniper, but it did mean that he got shot instead and it looked really painful. The only thing I'm expecting to see next time is Yugure going berserk on the mafia. They certainly need a thrashing, so hopefully she'll deliver a punishment fitting of one. |

| Well, it's kinda nice seeing that they subverted the generic development through Yuugure and avoided being something pointlessly dramatic for the main casts. I'm still in doubt though. I swear, this arc better has a good keypoint to some core chara/plot development or it'll be all in vain. The next episode's title there, humouring Philip K. Dick's work. I guess, each episode title is cross-referencing different pieces of sci-fi literature, specifically of those belonging to cyberpunk and post-apocalyptic subgenres. Ah well... On a side note, what's the point of Akira's covering Yuugure from a gunshot? Doesn't he already know that she's practically invincible to these kinds of weapons? From a logical POV that seems to be the case but his emotions are saying otherwise. Either ways, those mafia guys are pretty much doomed now. Also, I'm kinda sensing that the blue haired guy in the preview is going to be a major pain to watch. Sincerely hoping that I'm wrong tho', because the bad guys are already annoying enough. |

How did we get from an apocalyptic kind of world where the main character is looking for clues about the love of his life to these weird incest side quests ? To be fair I enjoyed this episode more than the last but it’s still a far cry from the super strong start, I think. |
| I like how I thought we were going to get an ominous post-apocalyptic-type of atmosphere, but instead we've got double dates going on I like the emotional music that started playing in the background as Akira was talking about.... incest I like how Yuugure thought she had to trip that guy and then catch him before catching the crate that was about to fall on him I like how I pretty much zoned out for like half the episode The air of mystery established in the first couple episode still lingers on... albeit quite faintly. It's just about enough to keep me watching, for now at least |

| I am a wincest enjoyer, I like the character designs and art, the animation is decent. On paper this should be something I like ..but man this writing... Is it just me or is the writing like really bad? The characters are poorly written, the dialogue is stale, the marriage plot is stupid, the whole mafia theme makes no sense and the villains are cringe. Very disappointed with this anime. They had a fun setting and could have done a Spice and Wolf sort of thing but with smug robot stepsis instead of smug wolf. PA Works really fumbled with this one. |
