This episode was so epic... like someone else said, I havent seen this much epic since TTGL. Mustang FTW! But everyone in the episode deserves a trophy for epicness (except the bad guys, they were all stupid, especially Envy. I would have liked to see Mustang incinerate him completely.)

That was such an amazing episode :'] All my questions about Riza and Roy were finally answered. Not to mention that this episode was so packed with both action and drama. The death of Envy really got me though, since he was my favorite homunculus.

It ended really nicely too. Armstrong sparkles are a must need xD Everything is leading up for the big conflict with Father though, and I can't wait to see what will happen.

Watched Ecrisp's subs (they were rather crisp), enjoyed the episode (especially Mustang blazing away with his clicks of doom) and am now downloading Eclipse's subs, because I have every other episode subbed by them and I'm something of a completionist as far as airing series go.

That said, if Crispy keep releasing before eclipse, I'll be watching them first then re-downloading it later.

This episode was great. Roy was so badass at the beginning, Envy suicided, Alex was so cool with his artistic alchemy, and the housewife part was also kinda good. Loved it how Hohenheim and Homunculus exchanged a little dialogue at the end.

Perfect.
Had to hold myself back when Envy was about to die. Nearly cried.

Glad that Eclipse found a new translator, didn't really understand that their translator was the same that did DRRR!! before I read about it on BSS :'D

Both will be continued, I'm happy, so my contacts won't see me crying again about my favorite anime nearly been dropped x)

Envy's death was the saddest lol....

I like Envy, probably because I don't particularly have notions of good or evil....If I were to play D&D, my alignment would be something like True Neutral....

LOL at the arguments that fizzled out.

I (and many others, I'm sure) watch this show for TEH EPIC, TEH AWESOME, and TEH LULZ. I'm not watching this to be preached at or to get into morality debates.

On a side note, the music that played when Alex got his shoulder fixed was so ridiculously cheesy and over-the-top (with chanting that probably came out of a cathedral choir), it was like it was made for that one scene. And then the camera view showed him going all Mike Tyson on Sloth. I definitely LOL'ed hard. Amazing how bullets and grenades won't do jack, but good old kinetic force (and having muscles as big as a backpack) will work out :-D

First part was simply perfect, well directed and straight to the point. The second part (including Envy's death) was a bit shallow and far less interesting though. Stil a very good episode.

So glad that Kokizzzle agreed to help finish FMA. mrewielk got a replacement for Kokizzzle so, DRRR!! is set for a go as well, probably not as [Ecliptic-BSS] but only [BSS].

Kaichou wa Maid-sama is expected by tomorrow from [Eclipse] and as Mentar said, things will go back to normal pace from next week, i.e release within 24 hours of airing.

Ends the story.

On Topic: Envy's death was really really sad. It's weird that I wanted him to suffer the worst possible death and ended up pitying him :/

Riza and Roy have a bond too strong. It has everything in it. Love, Warmth, Understanding and Respect. This is why they are one of my all time fav anime couples.

And the introduction of W.C was win :D. Izumi is just too win.

That being said, I just watched this episode 11 times in a row and still its not getting old, it will never get.

havoc's return . . .
And about sloth getting hit , well , sloth external covering (his skin) is extremely hard . . It can't be penetrated easily . . And bullets (because of the low mass) , can't penetrate the tough exterior and can't damage it either. . . . Whereas alex's punches may lack the velocity , but the mass is a lot greater . . . And the impact is more . . .

Well lets explain wit an example . . . :)
scenario 1 .a man walkin down a street , gets hit by a bike moving at 100 km/hour with the bike weighing 1 ton
. . .
Scenario 2 , another man , gets hit by a car moving at a velocity of 60 km/hour wit the car weighing 5 tons . . .
In which scenario will the impact be more . . . If you use the relation you obtain by applying newton's second law of motion you'll get the answer . . . (the key is momentum) :) [sorry about the physics lecture]

@shanimebib . . Thanks for everythin mate . . You've been great help over the past few days . . Hats off to you :) :)
well , every episode/show has its flaws . . Nothin is perfect . . But for me , this series is running close to being a perfect adaptation of the original manga , created by hiromu arakawa . . I know , its had its flaws (initial part of the story , ishbal flashback) , but still , this is doing justice to the manga . . . Without being greedy , i will have to say that this is more than i had wished for . . . . And with more awesome stuff coming up , this is only gonna get better . . . FMAB FTW :)

Another awesome 25 minutes. This show never disappoints.

Mustang really scared the shit out of me. Thank God this guy isn't with the evil guys, his more scary that Pride when he wants to kill. Can't say i didn't enjoy seeing Envy getting his ass burned though.
I didn't really feel anything for him despite his tears. I just can't sympathize with a crazy killing monster i guess.

From the last seen it seems the big fight is coming up but i wonder. This is gonna be the end of the anime right? It feels like a complete ending when they win against that "father" guy, so why is the manga still going? Or is it finished?

And lets not forget "EXCELLENT AND ELEGANT".

Who said you have to be close to bishounen look to be cool. Armstrong is here to show that you can be cool with a manly way. I love this guy. His awesome.

Because the manga is still going... from what my friends tell me, they've been fighting Father for about 4 chapters and it's still raging on... and the chapters are getting stupidly huge now, about 70 pages each... hahaha...

Envy is actually a quite good depiction of a inferiority complex. I mean I've seen the exact same behavior in real society from people close to me and not.

Both Armstrong continue to be awesome, Alex more than ever in this one.

So the fight against Father will be like one of those Final Fantasy end-boss (this show is sponsored by Square-Enix btw ^^), taking hours and hours? Good, I hope it'll be epic.

There's still some fights to be covered, some characters missing, and a lot of happenings at the climax. It feels like it's going to end when they beat Father. Only question is what ending we'll get. FMA:B's episode count is 63, so it ends at aroung June. That gives us about 2 more chapters of the manga. The anime and manga are getting close now(anime at chapter 95, manga at chapter 106). Currently, the latest chapter of the manga ended at a cliffhanger. If it's true that the anime and manga will finish at almost the same time, it's kinda hard to tell how Arakawa can wrap it up in 2 more chapters. Or they'll finish the anime at a certain chapter then do a movie/OVA so the manga can have more chapters. Hard to tell what's going to happen but let's have faith at Bones and Arakawa. They gave us a hell of a ride with this show :)

Finally envy is killed and everything is setup for the rest of the DAY. This is one long day: will it still be this day for the rest of the anime? I have to say this episode was not very interesting I hope they get back to what they had with previous episodes. They don't have to take a whole episode to just kill one person...

Everything up until Envy's breakdown and suicide was a bit too cheesy and melodramtic for me. But that death almost justified all of it. I didn't expect to feel sorry for Envy, but I did. I guess because the one thing keeping a balance to everyone teaming up to bring down Father. Hearing him remind everyone of where their characters stand is a void that I don't think can be filled.

So basically Envy's the FMA version of an internet troll. :P

In all seriousness, though, I did like this episode, though I don't know if it's quite as much as others here. I felt like it lost a lot of narrative momentum, breaking the fight up the way it did. I felt it might have been better off leaving it structured the way the manga was, but I guess it couldn't be avoided.

Still, the story itself was great, and Ed pretty much sized up Envy 100%, and it is very consistent with the way Envy's looked at humans throughout the series. Like others here, I almost felt sorry for him.

XD!!

Overall it was a good episode, but not to the point it was an "EPIC" episode like some people may have thought. Well the epic-ness was only in Mustang's scenes. I loved Ed's speech a lot more in the manga. The anime however made me feel more sad about Envy :(

I don't really have much to say..I think I'm just getting a tad bit depressed because the anime and especially the manga is going to end soon...D:

Well I was going to post the rage I feel towards Envy's death, but my brother just told be he's going to buy Baccano! DVDs tomorrow so I only feel joyous atm. I've been looking for the thinpack in stores for months now, but had no luck Dx

So I'll just say; Envy's death is the only moment in this series I truly can't stand. I roll my eyes at such drama surrounding his death and I don't feel sorry for him one bit. Plus for the most part, and especially in eps 53+54, Envy just served as a punching bag so good riddance. You weakling. Now let's move on to better things~~

Sense.
This episode made none.

He's a homonculous for christ's sake! He killed their buddies! And they decided to spare him? A serial killer (Scar), a mass murderer (Mustang), and a sniper (Hawkeye) decided to spare the life of a monster... Yeah, well, Ed was there too but he's an emo faggot, he doesn't count. Anyway, am I the only who thinks this is stupid?

Oh, oh wait.. I forget! Scar isn't a serial killer anymore, he's a newborn Christian now! Mustang and Hawkeye weren't sniping/burning to death countless of Ishbalans by their own choice, they were following orders, right? And Ed... Well, Ed was always an emo faggot.

Well, at least Envy did end his own miserable existence. He was the most useful homonculous of that useless lot. Although in the end he did become pretty useless too, to match with the rest of his kin, I think. So good riddance. It won't be long till the remaining three will follow, I guess. They're dropping like flies.

On to the next scene, Alex (admitedly with a considerable effort) gets the upper hand on 1v1 fight against Sloth. Looked good? Yes, pretty much. Was it reasonable? No, not really... Was it PREDICTABLE? Oh hell yes! Or did anyone think that was any chance, even the slightest, that Sloth would succeed his objective and kill Alex and Olivier? Gutless show is gutless.

Next episode! The death of Sloth! Oops spoilers?! No, how can it be a spoiler when it's so predictable?
