Lufas vs Devil King Orm was so epic! But it's funny how they threw down right in front of the newly formed Hero's party ready to start their quest. Now that's what I call spawn camping!

Orn was delivering juicy lore drops before Dina interrupted him and Libra absconded with Lufas. Mana is powered by the demons the humans kill? Everyone's following Goddess's scenario? Lufas was a lot more powerful in the past then they currently are?? The gears just keep spinning!

Edit: Fixed Orms title and the mana reveal I got wrong.

Okay this episode was pretty fun. I was not expecting that fight, especially the setup with the heros party like that. It was so funny and epic at the same time.

Also, Venus, well played. Good thing that I didn't believe in any words from you xD

Yes, this anime finally delivers what its name promise to its audience, to make a wild last boss appeared. I actually think it's too late but this anime compensate that by not just making the wild last boss appeared but also the demon king as well. Could demon king represents Satan while Lufas represents Lucifer?

Talking about demon king, I think this is one of the rare occasion where demon king act exactly as what demon king should suppose to act. Demon kings in other anime are usually goofy and full of kindness but misunderstood by human, the trend that start by the devil is the part-timer. But the demon king in this anime is very authentic and stick to the tradition. Admittedly I prefer a kind demon king but it's a good change of pace to meet a true demon king, plus he's hot LOL

Am I the only one who think that the demon king is also a "player"? Or he could be in the same situation as Lufas, a player soul that fused with the character soul, and that's why he talk about the fourth-wall topic like scenario with such a serious tone. I'm wondering if this player is originally female to contrast that Lufas's player is male. That'd mean there are four identified players as of now, the others are the newbie hero and Dina.

Dina is still as suspicious as ever, could she be goddess now? But I'm sticking to my assumption that whatever she is, she's the same side as Lufas.

Lastly the soundtrack, it's that I just notice that this anime has symphonic metal soundtrack but I never notice it before until now. Why? I don't even know that myself even though I usually pay attention to soundtrack and symphometal is my favorite genre. I'm glad I finally notice this anyway.
@phantomfandom You noticed it has strong Dimmu Borgir - Progenies of the Great Apocalypse vibes? If you forgot about it, I'm here to remind you of it :)

The usual hero backstory and stuff. A wild devil king and Lufas Mafal appears lol, thats exactly how I'd describe it as well. Action was cool but too much focus on how environment is getting destroyed to show how powerful they are, which I didn't like. The actual combat shown was short but neat. Also we got lore from the demon king himself and we are just about to get to the meat of it untill Libra and Dina interfered. Prolly intentional by Dina.

Interesting cycle. Demons cant live without killing and literally dies from it becoming mana allowing magic. A vicious cycle indeed.

"Frankly, I don't think I'm the best pick for this."
Kid has some common sense and humility, but he may be underestimating the "Chosen One" power.

Kids has balls, still standing, watching, and learning while the rest of his party is prostrate.
@LordCrueltyV
I think world context is a factor, though the kid's resolve is strong.

The rest of his party grew up in that world--they've trained, know magic and their attack strength, and know the lore of Lufas and the Devil King. They just witnessed power far stronger than anything they've ever experienced.

The hero came from our world--grew up watching anime, playing video games, etc. While a catastrophic battle like that would be shocking to anyone, local or isekai person, it seems like he accepted being isekai'ed pretty easily, so this battle for him is more becoming the hero from the stories he's read/played.

Versus his party, who have likely never witnessed anything of that caliber visually--no games, no picture books, no cartoons--only word of mouth history. And the first time they witness it, they find out that's what they're expected to defeat.

so mana is created when someone is dead thats why the devils are created to kill people then

ye dina is alovenus the goddess for sure and this goddess planned everything or is toying with them like a bored god
@deg not "someone". Specifically demons, when they die (either being killed or by itself, if they can't kill a person), they become mana scattered in the world

@phantomfandom completely agree, this series give the common trope true to their role
demon king > absolute beast
maid robo > real robo no emotion
hero > of course, generic hero

@Rixuel There's no way it is 12 episodes only, Virgo is in the opening and has to show up and if they do that in just one episode it would be lame. However, what can they do with 12 more episodes? Will we be getting more members to join in? Scorpio? Leo? New opening?

I'm liking how this is turning out. More things are getting revealed, leading to even more questions. Dina remains mysterious, making her motive and identity completely questionable. They're antagonizing the Goddess, and I feel like the hero is going to have quite a significant part on this.

That entrance and fight was amazing

Can't tell if Dina is pulling the "Yes I'm still on the devil-folk side" card on Orm [for show] or she's a double-double agent.
Can I just personally call her Loki at this point because of how tricky she's being??

The way Orm talked also made me question if he in fact was also a "player" but before the conversation could continue and I could analyze how he talked anymore the dang thing was interrupted....siggghh....I kinda at least hoped the "Hero's party" would at least recognize that Lufas is not out to destroy em but I think they were too overwhelmed to comprehend anything at that point. (I mean besides the "Hero" who just stared dumbfounded with a not-really-reacting look

(Well I at least hope there is some sort of 'friendly' interaction with the generic Hero and Lufas at some point since they [or at least the "Hero"] does appear in the OP sequence more than only once)

This was so peak! I did not expect this!

How is this story getting even better?! Wow.
This is really the isekai setting done right in so many ways!

I was wondering when Dina would show up, she has not been totally sus for about 5 seconds after all.

If original Lufas was actually even stronger it makes you wonder how the heroes managed to defeat her at all.

Gods above I really love this show a lot! Only 1ep left.. I will cry.
Does anyone know where I can read the LN? Or is the manga for once actually far into the adaption as well?

This is what an adaption is supposed to be. Lufas Maphaahl vs Orm the Devil King was a freaking spectacle. Also, we also the whole splitting the stratosphere thing, right 😏? A certain caped baldie better watch himself. All in all, 10/10. Type of show that made me pick up the light novel (so far, I kinda prefer the anime 🙂.)

The hero summoning of Sei Minamijuuji to Laevateinn to defeat Lufas and the Devil King Orm, the former definitely had his own hero uprising, from the generic hero upbringing to the generic hero party that accompanies him in all regards, Sei has everything the king wanted him to succeed in taking both their enemies down.

The upset, by honouring the series' title having both the Devil King and wild Last Boss appear at the same time, none other than Lufas and Dina know better of the circumstances of the game, though it would be better for her to have one of the Seven Luminaries together to take him down at the same time. Clearly to the devilfolk, Lufas being called Alcor as the Star of Death to face quite the enemy, in front of the hero himself (which Sei would've died if not for Lufas), the humans simply are sitting ducks in the sight of the pinnacle of the battle between good and evil. If there's a clue to what's going on in the "new" game, the Goddess's Scenario links everything together - why devilfolk target humans to survive, and that is the sign of Alovenus, the Goddess of Creation. Even Orm is aware of Venus, though everything is up to the Goddess herself to determine the course of events.

This is not just a transcendence of Exgate's timelines, but how much Dina can be the natural villain sideswiping everyone according to her will. I would not be surprised if she's Alovenus at this point...

Well, the opening has some images of their fights who are not in the episode. But since the fight goes extremely fast and we only got a glimpse of what they were doing, we could say that those images from the opening are canon XD
