Synopsis

Lufas Maphaahl, the black-winged overlord and leader of the Twelves Stars of Heaven, has been vanquished.

A man wakes up in the body of the Exgate game character Lufas, two hundred years after her defeat at the hands of the seven heroes. The game world of Exgate he knew is no longer ruled by humans—and it is no longer just a game. Exgate is a world of its own where the characters think, feel, and live just like he does. Lufas journeys through Exgate, looking for the long-disbanded Twelve Stars of Heaven.

Lufas is without country, army, or allies. A question remains: what is the real reason an ordinary man was reincarnated into Exgate as Lufas?

Preliminary (5/? eps)
This deserves more, much more.

I'm surprised nobody is talking about it. The animation is better than most animes, and the cinematographic way they started it was excellent. I read a little of the manga, and can say this is far more enjoyable, even with the manga being very well-made, too. I fear this won't get the attention it deserves. In a world where isekai multiplies like bananas, this is some fresh air after a long time.

From 10 animations, I'll drop 9 of them. This just somehow survived the probation of making me watch it, rate it, and even write a review on a site ...

Preliminary (5/? eps)
After episode 4 I was ready to start raving and mass recommending this hidden gem. Sure it had some lame tickbox isekai requirement in the beginning, but it very quickly ignored that aspect which is always a good thing when the isekai trope adds literally nothing to the story. The premise was interesting, the MC (Lufas, not the generic weeb piloting her) is cool as hell with an interesting backstory. The fanservice was minimal, and it barely even addressed the gender bending part which was just fantastic. The less we hear about the pointless isekai, the better. Everything was going well until episode 5... Without ...

Preliminary (10/? eps)
I'll keep it short.

Good premise, good artstyle and interesting characters, but falls short of it's potential.

The animation starts out great and got me hyped but it goes down to just being average or sub-par.

The story starts out the typical isekai with the genderbent twist, which you'd think would be used for some narrative reason but no, it's just there to get you to start watching it and it doesn't matter at any point after.

So ultimately, if we remove the genderbent MC, this show becomes generic through and through.

I went from being hyped for a new episode coming out to barely finishing the episode without ...
