Synopsis

Ruphas Mafahl, the black-winged overlord and leader of the Twelves Stars of Heaven, has been vanquished.

A man wakes up in the body of the Exgate game character Ruphas, two hundred years after her defeat at the hands of the seven heroes. The game world of Exgate he knew is no longer ruled by humans—and it is no longer just a game. Exgate is a world of its own where the characters think, feel, and live just like he does. Ruphas journeys through Exgate, looking for the long-disbanded Twelve Stars of Heaven.

Ruphas is without country, army, or allies. A question remains: what’s the real reason an ordinary man was reincarnated into Exgate as Ruphas?

"Some guy get's killed or is suddenly taken into a different world with all these new powers and is insanely strong" Sound familiar ?

With these stories coming out that seem to want to take advantage of the popularity of this genre and stories such as Overlord. It is hard to find a story that is actually unique and offers something new.

While the story does involve a character being brought into a new world and having a ton of these amazing powers. This story doesn't ...

When I began reading this I wasn't expecting a unique or interesting experience. I, probably just like everyone else was just looking for another fun isekai to pass the time. It's got "last boss" in its name for god's sake, that's not exactly an indication of originality. But when browsing through these countless monotonous stories, you sometimes stumble onto something that makes you think "Wow, this is actually really good." and this is one of those works.

At the start, this just sounds like another Overlord copy. A guy who was the top player in an MMO is suddenly summoned into the world of the game ...

You know the manga is good when you're approaching the last translated chapter and start to slow down, cause you want it to last just a little bit longer before you put it on hold.

In short, this is definitely one of the few isekais that I can certainly recommend as a read to almost anyone. With so many of them out there, what it comes down to is the execution of the idea. Isekai is just a trope in the end. It is popular today, something else will be popular in another 10 years, but what matters is how ...
