Thanks for your recommendation! I didn't know the band, but I really enjoyed the song. The music video is also great—I like it a lot. I'll definitely check out their other songs.

I usually prefer metal and hard rock, but MAN WITH A MISSION was what got me into J-music, so I had to recommend it here:).

@Sam565 You might like the low-budget copy of the Death Parade anime opening Bradio (the band that did the opening for the anime) did. It is similarly silly, I think.


As for me, I really like this vocaloid song (Clownish Linda and the sinking planet). It's just so silly and yet emotional, like a lot of the producer's songs.

Since you recommended Nier Automata music (always a good choice!), are you familiar with the YoRHa 1.2 stage play that shows A2 and Anemone's backstory? I think you'd enjoy the music, such as the opening song Normandy.

Also, from one of Yoko Taro's other stage plays (this one based on a manga he created; the manga is called Kimi Shi ni Tamau Nakare, and this stage play adaptation is Kimi Shi ni Tamau Nakare Zero_Kai and acts as a prequel to the manga) which has a fantastic opening song as well: Senkou no Hana.

I also think every Automata fan should hear Ishikawa Yui's cover of Kowareta Sekai no Uta (Weight of the World)! (For those unfamiliar, Ishikawa Yui is 2B's VA in both the games and the anime. She also plays A2 in the YoRHa 1.2 stage play.)

This is a really good opening Yoru wa Nemureru kai? (Can You Sleep at Night?) - flumpool from Ajin is a really underrated anime because of the 3d. A lot of people don't know about it.

I really like how simple and nostalgic the Katamari Damacy soundtrack is. This is one of the first songs in the game but the rest of the soundtrack is really good and I recommend anyone who likes this song to check out the rest of the soundtrack.

Based on your motivation for the song you shared I would recommend an opening I can't find, but I remember all the credits being put in background buildings so they blend in more. I thought it was from danmachi, but no opening I found had it sadly.

In general I would recommend everyone "LUCKY ENDING" by Vickeblanka, from Fruits Basket 2019. It has a feel to it I really enjoy, and it always calms me down.

@Malin28 Since you like metal, and you seem to be a fan of historical anime - I thought you'd appreciate an introduction into one of my favourite bands of all time - Sabaton!

You have Drifters there in your faves, so I thought I'd share Shiroyama! Sabaton write metal and hard rock music almost entirely about military history - including people, battles and weaponry. Shiroyama tells the story of the Battle of Shiroyama in 1877.



Considered almost decisively the 'Last Stand of the Samurai', Shiroyama was the battle in which the Imperial Japanese army crushed the Samurai rebellion.

A bit of nerd context, but I think you'll really appreciate Sabaton's music!





As for myself, you can probably tell I'm a huge metal fan and military nerd. I also really really love 'emo' music, and vocaloid! My favourite vocaloid producer is the Hitoshizuku x Yama duo. That said, I'll listen to anything - so bombard me with your faves!!

@miaxnder amazing taste in rock music you have there Sabaton has straight up bangers. But I would like to reccomend you something different - "Driver's High" the OP of Great Teacher Onizuka, which I can see you also have on your PTW.

I myself is also a fan of Sabaton and I went to their "The Tour To End All Tours" concert and it was great - if you haven't watched it I recommend watching that too.

And in general to anyone else I would recommend listening to "New Genesis" by Ado - she simply just has an amazing and beautiful voice that kinda gives me powerfull female singer vibes like LiSA

I really like sumika "shake shake" because it has a great instrumental and vocals, it's a lively and fun song.

@NatAlastrina I recommend 'Itsuka Sora ni Todoite, the opening of Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket. The song has a calm melody that fits the anime’s mood, which shows the effects of war. The lyrics give a sense of hope, even in tough times
