| The creepy factor is still there so that's good but whatever happened to that lighthouse from last episode? Did she somehow survive getting burnt? Also, even if she did, I am surprised she hasn't fled yet. They should really consider evacuating the town. |

| - Episode 2 -> Characters stated the town stopped cremating dead people because of the spiral smoke. Thus, cemeteries are full. - Episode 3 -> Shuuichi's mother is cremated. Man, this is such a narrative mess. I actually feel sorry for those Uzumaki fans who waited half a decade just to witness this disaster of an adaptation. |

And how did she survive the typhoon sucking her and her boyfriend up in the air and then suddenly appearing next to a lake especially after they showed what happened to the other girl that got sucked up earlier. Beyond the bad production values the logic behind this is all over the place such as what was just mentioned (maybe Kirie is immortal and is the reason behind this nightmare) and this feels so very rushed as they go to different scenarios with no break in between. |
| animation was definitely better, and also the pacing (compared to episode 2), but it’s still so rushed. it’s not making the manga any justice unfortunately. Despite this, it was the creepiest episode for sure, aside from the newborns. the mushroom kids segment was as dumb as I remember, and this was not the anime’s problem for once |
| I've actually taken to the most disorienting way of watching this. I originally planned reading the manga but this just came around so Ive been reading the manga trying to guestimate what chapters to go through and this episode has terrible pacing and meshing the jack in the box boy with the typhoon story just felt so bad. First two were not too bad to me I felt the pacing was fine and worked to give a sense of chaos but this one really felt off. The animation is better than second episode but not as good as the first. Also there was nipple censorship, which I don't even know why with some of the things they've shown in this already which feels silly. That hospital event with the mosquito zombie people was scary though how there is so little that could be done on the spot so little defense available and doors that dont even seem to lock. I feel this should have been a five episode series. Even just one episode more would have been an improvement in pacing. They just didnt show the very last moment jumping out the door frame. Alfredo-Sauce said: Right? The typhoon just spun them around and then touched down into the pond where it simmered down leading to a soft enough landing and were pulled out. That is why they survived because it wasn't trying to kill them I guess only obsessed with making Kirie part of the spiral. Im not sure why it seemed as if that one girl died before hitting the ground but maybe she only died from the fall despite appearances. The pond is right next to Kirie's home which I think they did explain early on in first ep it's location unless i recall wrong. The place they were relocated after the typhoon destroyed her home is also near the pond. They also left out for some reason unless they are going to slip it into next ep briefly |

| Better than episode 2.... marginally. None of the animation in this episode made me laugh in a moment of unintentional comedy. Nevertheless, the awful pacing remained. Hospital arc was handled pretty well, but everything after that was rushed as usual. I'd be totally lost if I had never read the manga. I am watching this every week with my wife, who has yet to read the manga. She's been totally lost since the beginning of episode 2. When this episode started, she asked if there was a time skip? She asked how the lighthouse didn't kill Kirie? And also that her brother's health wasn't even addressed until after the hospital arc in this episode. She's totally lost. Let's hope they stick the ending and return to the episode 1 quality. I'm not optimistic at this point. I don't absolutely hate the series, but it is so much untapped potential. I can't wait to read about the development hell after this wraps. |

| I honestly can't agree with anyone saying the animation was better than episode 2... I had to look away at times because it was giving me so much secondhand embarrassment. it's not even just how bad the animation is but also how stiff and uninspired most shots look, composition-wise. I'm really hoping the rumors about the last episode having the same director as the first are true. leaving all that aside, again we're suffering with pacing issues, though I understand it was inevitable from the start, with only 4 episodes to tell the story. I beg anyone reading this who has not read the manga to please go and do so, even if you're not much of a manga reader! it would be a shame for you to only experience this story this way. |

| @-Trippwire- Simply explained (because the anime is rushing everything) once the lighthouse started working, the whole town went insane. No one except Shuichi and maybe Kyrie are functional human beings. Now you may be wondering why all of this is even happening. Well that should be explained on episode 4. Pretty cool stuff in the manga. |
