| Man, not even the characters acknowledge the craziness of a last minute rescue after a month or why exactly the seasoned adventurers couldn't locate her in all that time. So much for all the time dilation theories. I mean, the latter isn't totally out there with the need to create a path and danger of a cave in, but I dunno. Pretty sure Roxy has the magic firepower to dig. Might have considered that option around when she decided she was going to die down there. All in all pretty lame. And then straight to this dammit Rudy moments and the accidental secret of his marriage that's as forced as Sylphie hiding her identity. Bleh. |
| Damn, Rudeus was big shooketh if he threw up coz he was forgotten lol. Paul's little advice thing near the end probably refers to having two lovers lol. Looks like Roxy is developing some feels for Rudeus and she shouldn't be left out ig xD. Welp, wonder where that new path they found will lead them to. |

What was the deal with Paul and Zenith then, when Paul cheated on her with Lilia?
Clearly, cheating is still seen as despicable. You still need to get approval from your current spouse(s), so for Paul to give advice to Rudy like that without checking with Sylphie first makes it a scummy move.

Zenith's family is part of a religion that doesnt allow pologamy. And they are pretty big on behaving within what that religion expects of them. While Zenith herself isn't quite like that, it still made things difficult. Also because Paul did it behind her back. Rudy, Sylph, Roxy arent part of that religion and have zero ties to them. So its more like Paul's situation was a weird one going against the norm. |

Nah man, Rudy’s own standard is monogamy, and I’m pretty sure the story has shown that it is a standard in this world with it’s Bueana Village arc. Rich people are the ones who get away with it because they have the power.
Plus, isn’t there a bit of a problem with a polyamorous relationship in which one person gets more partners for themself and the other is okay with it because they don’t want to lose the relationship? I think that’s kind of a power imbalance. And the person in the relationship with more power is abusing it.

| Some funny moments here and there but feels kinda emotionless, or at least way less than what you would expect. I remember it being better in the novel. Either that, or maybe I have a clearer head now. |

Ok they're making good progress. Roxy fell for Rudeus hard. I'm glad he got over her not remembering him quickly. That little boy from back then is now an adult.  Paul's face when he got praised by Rudeus was great. Also liked his swords metaphor he was trying to tell Rudeus. |

| I miss S1 part 2. Studio Bind seemed like a studio destined to elevate the source material, but it appears they stopped giving it their full effort on MT. Thanks Onimai and that recently announced other anime |

| I only started marathoning the series a couple weeks ago so it's not quite the "long awaited reunion" for me, but Rudy and Roxy reuniting has definitely been something I've been looking forward to and it did not disappoint. Funny and adorable moments between the two and Ms Roxy is smitten. I feel bad for her since Rudy's married with a kiddo on the way. Mushoku Tensei is one of the rare harem where I actually like and care about all the gals. They are actual characters instead of just a body type even though the MC is a giant perv. I'm half expecting Rudy to screw things up royally with Roxy and Sylphie. It's so great to have Paul back and teamed up with his son on a quest. Showing off last episode for Rudy and now that big stupid proud papa grin just to follow up with advising his son to get a sidechick. He's always such a lovable rogue. One of my favorite characters of the show. Shout out of thanks to the light novel readers in these episode discussions, you all add really interesting tidbits that didn't make it to the anime and flesh out the story without spoiling any of the future plot points. |
| WHOLESOME episode, that Roxy pat was ADORABLE. (and with this I binged all episodes of Part 2 just in time for S2 climax) I could bitch about no end, especially the desert part (last episode), I m sure they ommited a ton of things, enough people posted said details already. THANKFULLY it has been awhile and I dont remenber most of them, and in all honesty I just want to stay positive now that Roxy is back for good. Besides, what they do adapt, it is done properly, but I wished this was like Rezero S2, with the director going crazy with the episode lenght and cutting out all OPEDs. I m fond of Sylphy, but Roxy has that unique charm, so to see GOD again charming this anime, such a blessing (I still enjoy Eris the most, but next few episodes will tempt me HARD). mshfqtny said: Paul advising rudeus to get a 2nd wife. It is a shame because S1 is only the start and the story gets much better especially with S2 ending and after that, and if everything that comes after should deserve at least that much. But it seems the stunt they did with S1 was to bring as much attention possible, and now they got it, they dont care as much, SHAME. STILL S2 does NOT need that kind of animation for the most part (next episode will need it), this is still a decent adaptation, but what bothers me is what they skip, moreso now that we have an OP stealing time from every episode. | Roxy so moe~ Now seriously, what did they do to her character? The way her POV was presented was lame and as if her looks weren't enough, now she acts like a complete middle-schooler smh. And then there is mf Paul using dual-wielding as metaphor to explain how cool polygamy is. Yeah, the same dude who raped Lilia, got her pregnant later on as his maid and almost destroyed his entire family for being a damn horndog. Like, dude... just die already lol. |
| The journey through the dungeon at the start, Roxy finding herself going back to square one with the same teleportation circle. And this time, it's the student who saves her, for a long-awaited reunion, though forgetting Rudy...is the biggest sin ever. The best girl being in the same state as Sylphie when Rudeus meets both girls in their young adult days, glad that she's still alive and well. And the labyrinth strategy returns, with the group ready to head to the third stratum and beyond. As for Rudeus, him pondering around Roxy and wanting to impress her after a long while missing, she is small and petite for her size. And Roxy's dream of wanting to be saved by a young man, that wish got fulfilled, and she wants to go further with him, but Sylphie's family stuff can wait until the trouble is over. Paul leading the charge of the group, he's more capable than he is in the past, and despite the disparity of Rudeus thinking that his father's degraded (which absolutely is not the case with his secret grin), they advance through Rapan, though he questions if Zenith's OK with them taking this slow. That said, Roxy and Rudeus's aforementioned catch-up "date" is sweet, though Zenith is always on their mind to save as they go into deeper stratums with the assistance of the book helping them thwart past dangers easily. And where the book's trail stops, Rudeus steps in to help discern in Ghislaine's place of good luck, though Paul's sword talk is a clear metaphor of a sexual joke of his son potentially choosing both Sylphie and eventually Roxy (just as he had with Zenith and Lilia) as his lovers. The labyrinth being similar to the teleportation circle dungeon, and the magic circle to the 6th stratum is in sight. What horrors will they face there? |

| Finally Rudeus met Roxy again!! Made me worried when she couldn't remember him but it's true that he had grown up a lot since they got separated... anyway the dungeon exploration continues and they find secret stairs... Also lol Paul's subtle way to tell Rudy he can take two wives at the same time |
