| RIP Unohana. She finally fulfill her dying wish and that was making Kenpachi stronger. Now that Kenpachi Zaraki has finally awaken his Zanpakuto he has no reason to hold back after hearing its name for the first time. Meanwhile Ichigo and Renji visit the Blade God and they were forced to fight against Asauchi which is the form they take before they become Zanpakuto. Renji survived, but Ichigo got his ass kicked. It was all due to the fact that Ichigo was never a Soul Reaper to begin with and has never had his own Asauchi. The Blade God sent Ichigo back to the world of the living where he finds out about his true origins. |

| Great episode. This was the most anticipated battle for me in this arc, yet the studio ruined it. It was so dark and black I hardly saw anything. It has been pitch black since the beginning of the season. What happened to making darkness navy blue so that people can actually see what is going on? |

It sucks that she has to die for him to complete his training. 14:44 Now, that's my kind of place! Lots of waifus to choose from! 17:05 I want my own waifu sword! | Let's goooo! Unohana's bankai gets shown for the first time. She looks like a completely different person. Scary as hell too. Her bankai is just bloody awesome! It reminds me of a demon blood art. What makes this fight insane is the fact that Unohana would kill Kenpachi hundreds possibly thousands of times and then heals him. Kenpachi slowly gets stronger and stronger after each blow. I get chills seeing his skin get melted by Unohana's bloody bankai and seeing his skeleton. Unohana's skin melted too which surprised me. So is her bankai really that corrosive that it affects its user? Sheeeesh. |

| Tonal whiplash this episode. I still feel weird about how Unohana was handled... so I assume she never participated in any battle so far because they need her for healing, right? But now all of a sudden her healing isn't as important as making Kenpachi stronger? So Kubo just kills her off for that development? I am still wondering why she couldn't leave that one building during the invasion and go save people. Is that going to be addressed ever again? |

| Original Kenpachi vs the true successor. That was so insane it really felt like the show switched genre to pure horror. The decade long hiatus was worth every second for this final season. Can't wait for Seireitei to strike back after this training and recovery arc. |
