like what kobayashi said, it was yamada's choice to be there and you can't blame anyone but it doesn't take the bitter taste of what kyo is feeling thinking that he is forcing her to be there for him.

the last is the big one, can't wait for it.

I want to point out that last part is not on the manga. 4 more chapters before the big reveal

The last part is in the manga, they just rearranged chapters. This finished 111 (they skipped 110 for the last ep) and should get us to 113-114

Felt bad for Yamada but she should definitely focus on sorting out her priorities. Lol at the end - there is an imposter among the girls. Just a matter of time before he is found out, looking forward to everyone's reactions.

Anywho, Its starting to get real pathetic how the male MC whole existence is just living for the female MC. I liked you better in season 01 when you actually had a life outside the female MC

They’re going a bit fast so they can end the season in a good spot. There’s a ton of stuff that happens in these few chapters, and they also reordered a couple of things for dramatic effect (e.g. the cliffhanger happens after a couple other key events the manga). I’m hoping it plays out well for the final episode.

Okay, that was one heck of a cliffhanger there, lmao. How will Ichikawa-kun get out of that situation? Coupled with the regret of "forcing" Yamada-san here, it must be complicated for sure. Is he misunderstanding something though, I wonder.

Yamada-san definitely didn't act normal throughout the episode. And her voice cracks during the late-night call, that was pretty telling. Eating all her snacks even before the Shinkansen ride and jealously staring down on Ichikawa were more like her usual stuff, xD.

School trip and the manga hinting at a kiss in the school trip, if that isn't a signal, then straight-up depression... Chinpo battle cracked me up, we need gender equality, I totally agree!

Just one more ep to go, sad that there's not much left anymore but here's to hoping it ends on a high! It's been literally killin' it so far.

Even if Ichikawa denies it, he's thinking about having his first kiss with Yamada on the school trip.

Ichikawa must have felt terrible when he found out that Yamada won't attend the audition for his favorite manga because she's going on the school trip with him.

I don't know how Ichikawa always ends up in a compromising situation when he's with Yamada, now how will he get out of the girls' room?

There's only one episode left, and it's obvious that it will end on a high note.

Yeah, I think I find this to be the low point of the season. I agree MC seems to be pursuing nothing of his own.

Summer is here, and seasonal uniforms are the norm, though touching each other's uniforms (especially Yamada's skirt), both she and Ichikawa feel equally embarrassed lols.

Also, Summer is the good season for a Kyoto and Nara school trip...which its date of June 10th to 12th, the last day is especially worrisome for Yamada. Izhikawa picking his group, and when he chooses Yamada, nothing ever goes right with him. Of course, the Shoujo manga he's reading has a school trip arc like that where both MCs had a kiss, but this freaks Ichikawa out. The first school trip where he's eager to go, and getting a video call from Yamada to talk about the trip, she defintely saw his young school trip books...which say something. Kanne making a fit to form couples during the trip, both Yamada and Ichikawa are prime targets enough for her. Within the scuffle of deers gathering amongst the group, Chihiro also senses Yamada's facade.

Adachi sure gets a pervy mind about the girls, and the boys having a dick battle is just about the most young men expression ever, not to mention Yamada having big boobs and the rest of her clique not feeling redeemed about their own sizes. Of course, Adachi just has to save the day of Yamada and Ichikawa secretly meeting, and Kanne also secretly wanting to pair them both. But her worries of her audtion of the Shoujo manga, with every chance possibly fading away, Ichikawa may have realized too late that Yamada did not have time for practice due to the school trip, and within a split second, he gets escorted to her room after chasing to get her.

The problem now...with so many girls in the room, how is Ichikawa going to escape alive, and in one piece?

@oooo3333 at the beginning of the episode when Kyo sat at his MC seat he said nothing happened during the golden week (First week in May of Japan) and that Yamada is busy with her job, and then Sensei announced the trip and officially start the episode, so yes and no for timeskip, yes in the sense there is large time difference and no in the sense you were told nothing happened in between.

Great love story and getting more interesting. I love that the story doesn't only focus on their lova story but also their passions and care of the feelings of each other. When he realizes that her real feelings after sacrificing her career for him, he gets a ton of knockback feelings and it's a wonderful realization moment. Just that deserves the 10 for the serie.

Though there are a few comments about the rearranging events from the manga, I’m a little surprised that no one pointed out a pretty significant change: Ichikawa piecing together the audition situation on his own.
In the manga, Kobayashi just straight up tells him about the audition while they’re outside and Yamada is playing with the deer.
Honestly, I can see why they made this change, as it builds up the suspense and makes his realization even more impactful. The manga scene where he “realizes” is just him realizing that she chose the school trip because of him, and it’s a little weird that he gets that part so late after knowing all day that she’s missing the audition.
However, I’m still not sure of I’m quite on board with the cliffhanger. I can obviously see how it’s a more fun way to end an episode than what would have happened (huge manga spoiler: he sends her a text and goes to bed), but there are a few things coming that are going to feel a bit different when put in this order.
Either way though, I still think next week’s episode should be a banger that makes the slight awkwardness of this episode all worth it.

@djg2345312 Now that you mention it it's a little odd that Kobayashi would mention it to Kyo since she doesn't like him and is so dense she has no idea Yamada is in love with him (which buys him loads of forebearance from her other friends). Moe would tell him to put the ball in his court to see if it would pay off, but it's weird that Chii does it.

The chapter of the manga ends soon after that scene, but of course the episode of the anime is longer, adapting several chapters. In the manga it's how that single chapter develops the story where the anime not only can play it down to pay off later, but would actively want to do so to put the reveal at the end of the episode instead of the middle.

This was... different?

They changed a lot how things develop in this episode. The overall course of things didn't changed that much, but it is still odd.

In the manga, she tells him during the phone call that she had and audition, but she was worried she probably didn't passed.

So he knew ways earlier that was a thing, not to mention he talked more to Kobayashi when they were together after he ran away from the Deers.

My guess is that they wanted to make his realisation of what was going on a bigger of a thing, give it more importance since it might connect better with what will happen in the next episode.

Said that, the biggest change for me was that at the end. The scene where Kyoutarou and Anna go together to the room should happen a day later, so I'm curious how they are handling things from now onwards.

A lot of important stuff to happen on the next episode, so I guess they are going to skip opening/ending to have time to abuse the visuals for it.

Edit: After re-reading this post, it might sound I didn't liked the episode. It was still a 5/5 for me, I was just curious because even though I was expecting changes to fit everything in two extra episodes, I was expecting changes a bit later, not exactly on this part.

Edit: To help with it, when he talks to Kobayashi, he mentions the audition before she tells him about it.

The fact this is a story about a beta male slowly becoming a gigachad is what makes this so great. Finally a writer in japan not endorsing the cucky, incel, beta male, afraid of pussy mentality and growing out of it to promote the birthrate rather than endorsing a bunch of simp behavior.

A great balance of laughs and sadness in this episode. The bath scenes and the ending were particularly comical! x)

I did feel like the way the plot kept the two lovebirds apart was a little forced, but it fit well in the story, so I can disregard that.

It's cute that Yamada decide to go on the trip because of how much she thought it meant to Kyo, but part of me does wish that the two would just communicate. ^^'

Jealous Yamada is so funny I love how her eyes turn into cat like eyes just like NagatorošŸ¤£

So Yamada wants to audition for the manga that she and Ichikawa likes but she choose going on this trip I wonder how she’s gonna solve this problem tbh

NGL but for a minute I thought that this episode was the finale but luckily there's one more since this left off at a brutal cliffhanger, phew!

While I don't really know why Yamada is acting a little off I think it's because she chose to go on the field trip instead of doing a job/audition hence her friend saying she made a choice to go there and also telling Kyotaro that she'll for sure be at the field trip. On that note I think she does want a kiss and/or confession too.

Anyway, I don't know how Kyotaro gets out of that predicament with being in the girls' hotel room but I think he'll have to wait until they're all asleep, good luck lol.
@Alfredo-Sauce Legit I thought the same.. I was like... omfg you have got to be kidding me.. I have to wait ANOTHER YEAR MINIMUM TO SEE THE NEXT EPISODE?? Thankfully... we have one more XD
