| I was thinking of this video and of the fact that I'll never be able to take back my giant L yesterday that doesn't matter whatsoever. Basically, in the eighth game of Umineko (no spoilers), the player is tasked with finding its culprit(s). I spent like 15 hours across three days, determined to get it right without hints and on the first try, and kept a journal of my thinking processes and deductive reasoning in LibreOffice Writer that totaled nearly ten pages. Unfortunately, faced with two possible options, I ruled out the correct answer and instead chose a different one. And I still don't understand what was wrong with my theory. And I can never take this failure back. On the other hand, the correct answer was not only my second guess, but both of these very similar theories I had before the story was even halfway told the first time. That's kind of a W, but I can only feel the L. (Oh, and yes, I've read the manga already. I just forgot the correct answer) |
