Farmland Saga is here, Peakland Saga is back and it's better than ever.

The anime original scenes shows that we're in good fucking hands.

I love the OP and how very abstract it is, I have nothing much else to say except to be immersed and, it's farming time.

yo did they accidentally air the BD version? cuz that's how it felt. everything was stellar.

the starting part got me a little confused until the slave part happened. i kept thinking that einar was just thinking about past and how they were attacked etc. and i thought they would come out unscathed but seems like the imouto and okasan dying was real. fuck. well i'm just glad that the imouto ended up getting killed better than what would have happened otherwise (in my opinion).

seeing thorfinn like this doesn't really come off as surprising to be honest. it fits perfectly. man's lost all purpose in his life. he's got no goals or anything. hopefully that changes. now i have no idea what kind of motivation or goal will be introduced so looking forward to it.

the OP and ED both are absolute banger. peakland saga has delivered the peak we all were expecting.

based mappa.

The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama.
Feeling half happy, half sad.

Feels like home, and honestly just happy it's back

Op was fire, Ed was beautiful (English was a nice surprise), and the soundtrack was very well done

So glad the same staff came back, you can feel the passion they have for this story

The music was great and the op was amazing too. the animation was superb and I just saw one of the best stories in just 23 minutes. I got goosebumps and felt every emotion that I know of. and well that's why I like some animes a lot

I'm kind of shocked, just how good the response is.

For what it's worth, I'll keep watching, since I liked the first season a lot.

Horrible first episode.

It's adaptations like this that reminds me how allergic so many anime are to subtlety.

The way. they sucked all personality and fun out of Einar just to beat us over the head with the “slavery bad” message, with the obnoxiously sad piano music and cliche dead family story was so on the nose it was painful. The slavery scenes were supposed to be mundane. Where's Einar's himbo charm?

The way they try and make me feel bad for Einar's family that I've known for about a minute and a half is just insulting.
You really dropped it and put it at 3 episodes so your score would count lmao. Get a life man.
You're literally active on my anime list.

Masterfully adapted, the anime delved into the core themes of tragedy, war and slavery. As well as gave a supremely rich backstory to Einar. The build up to the reveal at the end of Episode was perfect at setting the new Status Quo of the anime, a great way to restart after the Season Finale of Season 1

Apart from all sidelines, this episode pertains to silence not words. It's one to be felt not seen. I urge myself to ponder the stray of wonders exquisitely poured throughout this tale.

Einar wanted to protect his family and the place where they live so bad then all of this happened... just tragic. I'm curious about his future relationship with Thorfinn and how they'll interact.

Peakland Saga is back, with the most anticipated arc which is the Slave arc, also known as Farmland Saga. I have no idea what happens in the story and am going completely blind, but I do know that it's gonna be very philosophical. If it turns out to be as philosophical as the Vagabond Farming arc, this is truly gonna be peak seinen for sure. Einar's story was hard to watch, felt as we are rewatching Thorfinn's story, but a quicker version. Leif is still searching for Thorfinn, and Einar meets Thorfinn in the farm, and based on the name of the next episode, it seems that the name of the owner is Ketil. He looks like a nice guy (for now at least).

Wait what?! Bruh if this is true it's honestly nice context given to Einar's character. Just one episode and I already like Einar.

5/5 episode.
it was revealed he talks about his family dying we just never see it happen , that part was anime only content, everything from when he is on the ship with other slaves to meeting thorfinn was part of the first chapter of farmland arc, but seeing his family die made everything else hit harder for sure
Oh I see. Yep it definitely does hit harder, just one episode and I already love Einar. Thanks for the information dude :)

PEAK ALERT! I repeat, PEAK ALERT! Cancel all AOTY contests for this year since they won't be necessary at all.

The sound, the directing, the animation, especially Einar's absolute RAGE face(yes, I know, it reminds one of Eren's rage face). Too bad he's powerless to do much about it.

Not to forget the fucking sea, even more glorious than the first season and I was praising that one to hell and back.

The staff is the same as S1 and it's clear they have improved. I just hope this level of quality, or at least close, is maintained throughout the season.

Glad to see Thorfinn again too. After what he did in S1, no doubt he was sold into slavery. Man looks completely dead inside, alongside having grown weed.

I'm so glad I went into the anime completely blind. They keep it up, and it would be even better than any of 2022's anime.

Vinland Saga is back. The animation, sound and the feelings was full top notch. The introduction was pretty haunting.

We got to see Einar's backstory.Ultimately he meets Thorfinn. It is ironical that Leif was pretty close to the person who bought Thorfinn.Eager to see Einar and Thorfinn's journey.Ultimately pretty good episode.

A drop in animation quality with the move from Wit to MAPPA and some odd pacing left the first ep feeling a bit mid.

They didn't completely butcher the anime but it was flat as hell as expected. Mappa really should stop snatching projects from Wit studio. The subtle colors and animation details of Wit style bring every anime they make to life. Mappa on its own make good things but they really can't be the successor to Wit. The difference in quality is as bright as day. Really any studio taking over after Wit will not win. I'm seriously crying over here. The final scene of the first season finale is better than this entire episode.

Also what kind of opening is this? How dare they put this weak song after Mukanjyu and Dark Crow. They could have at least got Sim to do the opening.

I love the contrast between how this season opens versus how last season opened. The first seasoned opened from the warriors' perspective, those who take from other people, while this season opens from the perspective of those who are victims of these type of warriors. Good stuff.

I still prefer the color palette of the first season, but it shouldn't take long to adjust to the new look. Really excited for the rest of the season to unfold.

First of all, mappa did not take the project from wit by force, wit vinland saga did not want to make a 2nd season. The staff who made the 1st season left the team for him. They went to mappa and mappa gave the green light to the project. That's why the team that made the 1st season switched to mappa and that's why vinland saga season 2 is made by mappa. In short, mappa saved the anime.

I almost felt like standing up and clapping at that Marvel-like revelation when Thorfinn shows up at the end.
Ahora, triste en la pendiente, solitario y ya vencido yo me quiero confesar

Si aquella boca mentía el amor que me ofrecía, por aquellos ojos brujos, yo habría dado siempre más
