For me it’s Cowboy Bebop. I felt like it had little to no character development or growth. For me I found that it lacked a strong story to keep me invested and I found the episodic nature of the anime to be really boring especially with an interesting concept and world. Don’t get me wrong I’ve watched other episodic shows but they were able to keep me invested unlike Cowboy Bebop. So how about you what anime does everyone else love but you don’t? EDIT: Please try to be civilized and respectful in this thread. No hateful or insulting language and comments. |

https://myanimelist.net/anime/33352/Violet_Evergarden I don't hate it but I don't love it either. It looked nice and everything but my main problem was that it had too many flashbacks and cared too much about the story in the past and I absolutely didn't. The movie was also bad but the specials were nice though. https://myanimelist.net/anime/35839/Sora_yori_mo_Tooi_Basho Again didn't hate it but didn't love it either. It's just K on but the girls go to Antarctica. I started nicely but got boring towards the end. It was longer than it needed to be. |

I really wanted to love HxH, and I think the music is all incredible, but man, I felt bored during even the chimera ant arc. It was frustrating to watch since imo only a couple arcs had satisfying conclusions. I don't think it is bad, but I just don't get the appeal I guess. Chainsaw man comes to mind too, but I was enjoying it until the end, so it's not like I don't get the appeal. |

As of now Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, I stopped at episode 12 a few years back as I got bored watching the series, I barely remembering anything and surprisingly haven't been spoiled. I do remember not liking it one bit and putting it on indefinite hold, I'll give it another go one of these days for sure yet this is the most popular series I didn't really enjoy. |

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners: I don't understand the whole point of the story. Watched it because it was just 10 episode and visuals were good. Neon Genesis Envangelion: I liked it the moment I was watching. Not that I fully understand it but I personally don't like the aspects it passively tries to make me think. Kaguya-Sama: Love is War: It seemed really boring to me. The same monotonous stuff for 36 episodes. |

For me it's the recent anime Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! The MC is just edgy cringe boy that let himself hit by truck, get isekai then gain magic power because he want to get more power, I hate it. But somehow this anime get everyone love with cringe MC anime like how, HOW? |

A war can break out in this thread lmao. As to answer the question, I would say Nagatoro. It's the most boring anime I ever had the displeasure of watching. I was very disappointed, I thought it would be good given how much it's hyped and how much I was seeing Nagatoro's smirk all over the internet but I was naive. It did make me learn that I won't enjoy every show. |

Everyone keeps mentioning highly rated anime with plenty of haters, so it looks like I'll be the only one replying with an anime that is truly loved by everyone, with literally not even one negative comment on its subforum: The Tatami Time Machine Blues. Every character is uninteresting or annoying just like in its parent story. |

This glorious signature image was created by @Mayumi! I am the Arbiter of Absolute Truth, and here is my wisdom: "Anime was always influenced by the West. This is not news. Shoujo is the superior genre primarily aimed at young people. Harem/isekai are lazy genres that refuse any meaningful innovation. There is no 'Golden Age.' There will always be top-shelf anime. You should be watching Carole & Tuesday." |

There's a million anime I can categorize here but gonna just name a few of them for a sample: - Clannad After Story (whole of Clannad actually can be here) - Hunter x Hunter 2011 (mainly for the Chimera Ant arc) - Fruits Basket (original and full remake) - Cyberpunk: Edgerunners - Re:Zero - Neon Genesis Evangelion - Violet Evergarden - Code Geass - Jujutsu Kaisen/Demon Slayer - Your Lie in April - Mob Psycho 100/OPM - Ranking of Kings Some of these were a bit more frustrating than others given how I was watching with friends and I felt like the odd man out in the room, but yeah these generally have been really frustrating or bad for me to get through overall, whether it's a first time or even a rewatch to give it another shot after quite some time. |
