| Fanservice is a weird thing alright. I actually dont mind it in general and tbh most of the times i enjoy watching it lol. There are some exceptions here and there like Fairytale where it distracts u from the main plot but u do get used to it eventually. Also, I have a knack of ignoring things which i dont like (Except Rape and NTR) in a show if it has stuff which can be enjoyed. Best example is Sword Art Online. There are lots of things to hate bout this show but still i was able to enjoy it by ignoring annoying parts. Heck, i even coped with incest and loli in many anime so now i can just adjust myself to get the maximum enjoyment from a show. |

| Its pretty easy to tell when an anime is gonna have fanservice,if you don't like it then don't watch it. Also fanservice is more than anime tiddies,id say that Pokemon:origins is also an anime mainly focused on fanservice.Nostalgia,obscure references,excessive amounts of violence,all of that can be fanservice too IMO. I think that fanservice is another tool in the box of the writers and animators,and,just like any other tool,90% of the time it will be miss used. Just like isekai,you can do anything in an "other world" setting and most anime just say "I FREAKING LOVE DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS YEEEESSS" |
| I am sure the people making the show also enjoy the fanservice themselves to some extent. As long as it doesn't fundamentally change the story, or characters some is fine. |

Kingdom has some actual nudity/sex but not what most people classify as fanservice. Fanservice shows peaked during the late 2000s and early 2010s. Just another misinformed thread. Instead of complaining about x thing and people who enjoy it why don't you spend your time doing something productive like watching the hundreds of anime with no fanservice and clean up your watching list lol. |

Also like many have pointed out there's plenty of currently airing anime without fan-service, I do understand having an anime you were looking forward be ruined though. In closing; fan-service isn't new or taking over. Edit: just noticed you have multiple ecchi on your list ranked 9 & 10 so when did fan service start being an issue? |

Especially if you compare this year to some years in the late 2000s/early 2010s. Anime has always had dumb fan service doesn't matter what decade you want to go back to. If you want to illustrate how you think sexual content should be shown instead make a thread about that. It would be more productive. |
