Koichi has some of that Plot armour I see, he be living for long then...maybe until the end?
Kira once again shows that it doesn't only take power to be the most villainous of villains in JOJO but personality and quick thinking.

Whew...that was an intense episode. I always liked how suddenly who had the upper hand in this confrontation switched between the heroes and Kira, culminating in Kira getting away in one the most ingenious way possible given his situation. The heroes are at an even larger disadvantage now than when they started, as not only do they not know who's identity Kira took (outside of a few inferences they could make about it anyway), but Kira is now acutely aware of who they are and what their powers are too.

Next week we'll meet Atom Heart Father...

O cannot wait any longer and have to get hold of the manga. Usually I wait until an anime ends. But the suspense is kirring me!

If you want to read the manga then the best place to do that is batoto, they have high quality scans in colour on their servers. All you need to do is make an account ;-).

Kira was keeping tabs on everyone (do remember that he did see that big meetup between the stand users in Morioh).

In the anime he also saw Yukako entering Aya's salon.

He was keeping tabs on them but he didn't know the abilities of Jotaro, Koichi, and Josuke's stands at least in this episode

He can see Koichi/Jotaro being healed and overheard Okuyasu/Josuke's conversation regarding the use of Crazy Diamond to heal Jotaro/Koichi.
He was surprised at Jotaro's speed and felt as how he was frozen.
Act 3 gave away his abilities while kira is in the same area.

Aya used her Stand ability for her business, so there are some ways of knowing her ability(like asking her customers directly, observing the customers faces before and after they get in to the salon, etc). While the other Stand users you mentioned rarely use their Stand outside of Stand Battle, probably. This is just my speculation, though.

There are Geniuses and there's Yoshikage Kira .
Everytime you thought he was done , he managed to get away no matter how desperate the situation seemed . He's Everything you expect from a Villain : Smart , Charismatic , Powerful & Crazy . Easily one of the best episodes yet . the tension during the fight was top-notch as well as the tension during the chase .

Another great episode. Brutal seeing Koichi's face getting smashed on the ground, but he managed to get Kira's name.
Jotaro not giving up without a fight. Great to see Star Platnium in action.
Nice watch. Too bad Kira's face is getting wrecked.

Josuke just in time to save Koichi & Jotaro. Great of him to figure out who Kira was.

R.I.P Aya Tsuji. She didn't deserve that.
Now Kira's got a new face & identity. Gonna be tough to find out who he is again.

So Kira is having a pretty rough day. His heart attack isn't killing anyone, he was about to get mugged, his name and address and whatnot was known to someone, and then he got an ora ora ora beating by Star Platinum. So much for living peacefully lol.

Koichi manages to make Kira super pissed lol. And Jotaro comes back from the dead and beats the crap out of Kira to knock him out to allow for reinforcements to come. And Kira acts like a bystander supposedly caught in a blast in the shop. But he blows it by telling Josuke to fix him fast. Kira cuts his left hand off and sets a heart attack after them. Lol there was then a hand flying around town after a man. And Kira's will to survive is so strong that he acted like he did in front of Josuke and then he went as far as to completely change his identity by forcing the beauty parlor woman to do it. Now the jojos will have to search for Kira all over again. It's bad especially since Kira knows about all the stand users linked to the jojos.

Or because Okuyasu wasn't in his original form, Josuke's fixing power used his hand as a way to turn him back. I kinda see as a plot hole, but Stands powers can be quite abstrate sometimes (and convenient for the plot), so I guess you can try to explain as you want.

What an episode. JoJo never fails to deliver, and this week was fantastic.

Kira is indeed a great villain. Not only he is creepy, cunning and stylish, but he also is really funny. I mean, that scene when he waste precious time just because Koichi wear his sock wrong was pure gold. OCD to it's maxim.

Jotaro's OraOraOraing Kira was really great. Glad Jotaro managed to land some hits on the bastard before getting unconscious. Kira really get rekted.

Josuke was awesome too when he gussed Kira wasn't a normal passerby when he and Okuyasu finds him wounded. I'm liking Josuke a lot lately, to the point I'm considering him my favourite JoJo.

And the ending, well, poor Aya, she didn't deserved to die, and to add salt to the injury, she also had to harm the other man who came to her clinic to change Kira's face.
The series has reach a very interesting point. Even if we will back to the Stand of the Week plot soon, now that Kira has been stablished as a treat, things are going to be very interesting...

This episode was mind-blowingly good, and yes that pun was also intended. Kira is hands down the BEST villain I've seen from the franchise, and probably the best of the season, if not the year too. Gotta love how cunning and intimidating he is while still managing to trip over himself with his overconfidence and OCD-like tendencies. Killer Queen looked beyond gorgeous as well. Holy shit, everything about him is just too great. I'll be missing the David Bowie look, though.

Jotaro and Koichi really shined this episode too, with their cheesy ass yet stupidly awesome taunts and one-liners only someone like Araki could've ever come up with. For a villain as powerful as Kira, they fared incredibly well: I even thought for a moment that Koichi wouldn't make it (after what happened to Shigechi, you never know).

Jotaro wasn't there to save Kakyoin but was able to save Koichi. I like that parallel. I mean, come on, Koichi is impaled through the stomach and is even wearing the same school uniform as Kakyoin. He was so bad ass too. The two of them were both able to figure out the enemy's secret. If only someone like Josuke had been around to save my cherry prince...

The irony of a hand fetishist who has illicit affairs with said hands actually lopping off his own hand. And the fact that he cried afterwards.

I think I woke my neighbors with my sheer enthusiasm for this episode.

There was so much to hype over- Koichi's badassery, Jotaro's one liners (and badassery), Josuke's badassery, Okuyasu's badassery excellent participation in that unplanned trustfall.

Jojo's villains always manage to worm a way into the dark recesses of my heart. First Dio and now Kira. It's interesting to me how his development seems vaguely similar to Dio, with him being over confident & arrogant, then changing to overly cautious tactics after being thwarted.
Even though he nearly died, things really went in Kira's favor at the end since he now knows about the abilities of the main 4 whilst having completely altered his identity.

It's fascinating how far he's willing to go to survive, for reasons completely different to Dio. He has genuine OCD in relation to this "quiet life" he craves & I've gotta wonder where that's coming from.
Why is he doing all this?
I badly need to know how his past ties into who he is now, and that's something we never needed or even wanted with previous Jojo villains. Why does he think that this is the best way to sate his murderous feelings?

Also might seem random, but I'm actually gonna miss Kira's face now that it's well...not his. From the spoilers I've seen, I'm not too keen on the design. I liked that suave office look since it contrasts nicely with how twisted his personality is.

Once again, role on next week!! ^^

When Star Platinum punches Killer Queen, why didn't Killer Queen touch and make Star Platinum a bomb itself and explode? Is it possible for Killer Queen to touch another Stand, making the Stand become bomb and explode itself?
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

Does that mean Killer Queen can create bomb by touching the object by using it's hand only or can it make something a bomb using his leg or body to touch it?

Not sure if that was just show off or something like this but Kira was saying something about whatever will be touched by - tip of a finger - of Killer Queen becomes bomb. Also as on person it's not that hard to set up something as a bomb (clothes, wallet, anything else), but setting bomb on stand wouldn't work particularity well, because whatever is set to be bomb doesn't get any damage from explosion itself, therefore basically as long Stand would be kept in bit of reasonable distance, bomb would actually do zero damages. And there we also have matter if stands even can be set up as bombs.

Quote from somebody on another website:
God_Vector said:
Kira was stalking Yukako in a previous episode, add on to the fact that he probably listened to the talk around town (I mean even the high school girls are talking about it, so it's not too far fetched to say Kira's co-workers were gushing about Cinderella as well.). Mix this with his new-found knowledge about stands he gained when he encountered Shigechi and he probably pieced it together or at least had a hunch that Cinderella was no ordinary salon."

Kira had this to consider for about 4 days

The show was a slow burn for a while, but it's finally exploded into something fantastic. That's not to say I wasn't enjoying it before, I thought all the episodes leading up to here were fun, but I just didn't know where the plot was going. I had resigned myself into thinking this season would be light-hearted fun.

That's what I get for underestimating this franchise. This season is just as great as the previous ones, and I'm loving how thrilling and tense its become.

The implication is that Kira stalked Josuke and Okuyasu for a few days and noticed some of the Stand Users they were around.

Aya would be especially notable since she uses her Stand daily.

Wow, so many things happened in this one ep. I don't even know where to start.
Koichi was so brave to fight against Kira by himself with that shit talking. Didn't see that coming. Thanks to Kira, now I know more about SP's speed. Didn't expect Jotaro to be Koichi's savior after he's heavily injured.
Lol at Kira's talk about getting a membership of gym to get more stamina. Kira really showed his ruthlessness & OCD with his playing Koichi's head like a basketball and helping him wear the sock. I was like WTF, lol. And he's smart to pretend to be a victim. Nice try, Kira.
Too bad I was spoiled of the chase via the hand and Kira's changing identity and killing Aya. Damn these people. It would have been a great surprise.
Any way, 5/5 for sure.

Not gonna lie, Kira's an awesome villain. Fantastic episode with loads of hype moments, but the ORA ORA bested them all as it was probably the most satisfying one yet.
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...
