Well was that amazing or what? (That was amazing)

Satsuki & the Four were pretty epic, and then Mankanshoku goes in to finish it off =P
It was pretty awesome seeing that blade send Harime Nui flying. That momentary standstill after it struck her haha.

I wonder what is the mindset of people who hate and watch this show every week, only to spread their opinion on it on the forums. Must be a new form of self-pleasure.

I don't think it's really that new - being an elitist hipster prick/troll has really taken off lately.

Regardless, if you want to learn more, you could probably ask TallonKarrde23 about it - then again, he's not the type to keep coming back to hate on something, so he's really not as bad as the others.

Few things I didn't understand like
why Ryuuko kissed Nui ? or why Ryuuko killed Mako (in her mind?) that's some hardcore brainwash to make her do that in her mind..
Jesus fucking christ Ryuuko , first you said you never want to see Senketsu but now you want to wear Senketsu again ? Make up your mind woman ! Did I miss something ?? however I did enjoy Satsuki wearing Senketsu & fighting Ryuuko

Well, we can see on the first minutes the yuri moment, so maybe that kiss was just because she wanted to kiss someone...Or just because she wanted to shut up Nui, I don´t know...

And the Mako kill...Well, Ryuko was HAPPY on the dream, and she had the things that she couldn´t get on her real life, so maybe she wanted to stay on the dream and live a lie...And when she killed her best friend, she realized she lost her way.

And wanting to wear senketsu again...That´s easy: She realized who she was, she couldn´t change the fact that she´s one with the Life Fiber, so refuse his friend was stupid...But I´m sure next ep. will explain ths a lot better than me XD

You clearly missed something last episode, Junketsu altered Ryuuko memories, thus changing how she think and process things. So she kissed Nui.

Also Ryuuko did not killed Mako she just slashed Senketsu and its blood flooded Ryuuko mind.

You need to understand that Ryuuko is still teenager so she has her ups and downs.
And you missed the fact that she is in huge shock when she realize she is a life fibre (i.e. a monster). Therefore she rejected everything that is one, including herself and Senketsu.

To the three posts above...

As has been stated, Junketsu altered her memories, making Ryuuko believe that she grew up with Ragyou. This includes all the molestation, incest, and subjugation that would have entailed. In the state of mind she was in, she believed she was a part of this incestual family, and kissed her 'sister', Nui.

As for killing Mako, she honestly tried to - again, due to the brainwashing. She moved her arm and struck Mako before it was revealed that Senketsu had protected her. The shock of the fact that she had just attacked - and tired to murder- her one and only real friend was too much, and stunned her out of Junketsu's control for long enough for her to tear him to pieces.

I find it cool to read all the posts about what Junketsu did to Ryoko and why it made her kiss Nui.

In my opinion, Junketsu did give false memories, but what actually made Ryuko kiss Nui is the pleasure of wearing Junketsu (or more broadly, by being synchronized with a life fiber garment). I understood that being worn by life fibers means that the body is overstimulated with pleasure. And so what are some basic things that give (most) animals pleasure? Being with a mother, sex, having power and just experiencing some form of closeness with others.

I imagined that wearing Junketsu is to experience emotional ecstasy.

So I think Ryuko was just overwhelmed by her emotions and gave in to it by kissing Nui.

u kno, just passing on the good vibez
And also yeahhhh Rei Hoomaru is back :3 Can't wait to see Hoomaru do something. even if it's just stand or bow next to Ragyo.

I had originally thought that Ragyou was changing her memories, but she remembers wearing Senketsu just fine. I think I think they might have just shown her what her life would have been like if she had been raised by her mother. Next episode may elaborate on what was going through her mind.

To everyone speculating about the Nui kiss, the best answer for that came from a blog I think One Pixel Jump or some other.

Basically, Ryuuko was being hedonistic i.e. seeking nothing but pleasure hence her words after "Something to feel good about."

She was talking to herself basically when she said that. The guy who suggested this reasoned that until the thing with Junketsu, Ryuuko had been going through a lot of mental anguish and that being worn by life fibers is pleasurable (hence Kuroido Takiji's reaction to being absorbed by the fibers later on).

Basically, after feeling so much pain, Ryuuko was looking for nothing but pleasure while under the influence of Junketsu.

Her memories weren't completely altered. She knew who Mako was after all. False memories were simply planted alongside the ones she already had (false memories relating to the relationship she had with her mother).

The way she pushes Nui's face away after the kiss and the fact that she kisses Nui right after being taunted about her father's death makes this the most plausible reason to me.

It makes perfect sense if you look at it this way:

it's basically like someone losing their job and then going out drinking to drown the pain.

She was on a quest for temporary pleasure (as opposed to doing something like facing reality, which happens when she almost kills Mako in her imagination).

I really don't know how these last two episodes will play out.. I hope this pacing situation works out because IMO they focused on the main plot very late and while the first half was good(1/2/3/5/7/11/13/15) they should've focused on the main plot from the beginning.. There's still a lot left to be done and two episodes will feel rushed

As long as I get to see Satsuki share a meal with Ryuuko, Ryuuko or Satsuki bring up Satsuki's protectiveness of Ryuuko pre-"we're-sisters-now!"-arc and as long as the creator doesn't kill off Ryuuko or Satsuki I couldn't careless what happens.

Seems they've dropped the Kinue deal as well as that bullet that apparently destroys life fibers among other seeming dead ends.

And in my opinion climaxes aren't the writer's strong point (I was bored to tears by Gurren Lagann's one so much so I skipped it).

I know I've stated otherwise until now but...

I feel as if there will be a second season, or continuation of some kind.

They have 3 episodes left, with this one being about them re-grouping and Ryuuko finally talking to Satsuki as a sister... That leaves 2 episodes for a conclusion from there.

2 Episodes for a conclusion on everything? It just doesn't seem plausible. The OLF seems to be going to space with Ragyou on board, Satsuki, Ryuuko, and the other protags are all in the middle of the Tokyo Bay..

How will they end this all? It's anyone's guess right now.

I wouldn't mind 6 - 12 episodes to cap off after this first season is done, personally.

This suggestion...is by far the scariest thing I've read throughout my time on MAL.

I mean, to come this far only to not end? And then a continuation we'll probably have to wait a year or two to see?

SCARY ass suggestion right here, BRSx.

I wouldn't even watch the second season is how much disgust I'd feel if the ending was inconclusive.

Thankfully, though, that probably won't be happening.

Depending on how well its pulled off, it could be more satisfying than trying to jam too much into the final two episodes.

We're expecting:
  • A fight with Ragyou.
  • Destruction of the OLF.
  • Closure between Satsuki & Ryuuko.
  • Closure for the rest of the cast.
  • SOMETHING to happen regarding Nui. (She's too random to predict)
  • To learn where the OLF comes from, and why it's using humans, and for what.
  • And more.

Just seems like a lot to do. Here's hoping they can do it.

I always figured the kiss with Nui was a throwback to what Nui said earlier: "Love and hate are two sides of the same coin! The more you hate someone, the more you can love them in turn."

It showed how messed up and flipped around Ryuko's emotions had become.

So you're gay... but don't like the other gender being gay. That only sounds a /tad/ hypocritical.

... Do you hate it when elderly couples or straight couples kiss? Is anything but a gay male couple disgusting?

Too bad that ako didn't die. Not that i dislike her, but Mako dying, and Ryuuko *not* waking up (not at all, so no waking up in the last scene of ep 24.) would have been an anime doing something really unexpected. Now the only question is if Nui dies..probably not, at least not only from that.

Well... Blumenkranz to a yuri threesome... I never thought I'd see the day.

And damn, my reaction at the "Red Wedding" was all over the place... at first it was all I could do not to die laughing at the way the wedding was haulted when Junketsu/the life fiber outfit just gets knocked out. Then I was getting all moved thinking Mako was winning her over and thinking:
"Aww, yeah look at that she didn't really slash her, she just set her blade down in defeat. ...Wait. ...S-she just killed her. Wait she killed Senketsu!? ... Okay good it was just in her head, but damn that settles it, she's evil. Alright good, she's back to normal."
Damn Ryuuko, if you wanted to wear Senketsu all along, why didn't you just say so!? Don't be such an awkward drama queen. :O Still, it was a pretty good scene.

I also didn't think Ryuko could ever piss me off, especially against Satsuki, but the way she was treating Satsuki there actually pissed me off. Of course, it wasn't really Ryuko, but still pretty interesting how this series could swap the characters' roles like that.

Edit: Oh, and dat finger spreading... clearly that was signifying scissors... right?

Dat Yuri Kiss! And lol Mako is just crazy as hell, she even got sucked in together with the uniform xD pretty hilarious yet epicly awesome development! Great to see Ryuuko back to her normal self and that second form of the second part of the scissor blade sure was interesting looking! Let's see what will happen next!

I'm on the verge of crying when I saw mako been sliced by ryuko. I remembered zoro in ryuko with that all of blood.

Gotta love the plot formula for this show, Ryuko starts in a raging fit, hating the world, gets baited into a trap (4th time this show?) and comes out of it back to her senses....it's like I've seen this episode before!....hmm.....
