It was a very good anime in my opinion, I had a lot of fun and relaxed watching it. I was very amused by that phase when Kobayashi showed Takiya the pictures taken at the festival that they were all blurred. =)) I have a nice picnic, but what to see a correct skanderbeg related :)) how crazy they are. It seems that Lucoa wins the skanderbeg game against Tooru. :)) yes lost distracted by Shouta-kun :)) the end is still the wedding of Kobayashi and Tooru :))) too funny anime I really wish next season.
it was a good season finale, let it come to season 3 💖.

This is my personal opinion!!!
I think this was absolutely the best way to end the show and I don't think the ending could be any better, it had everything I love about the show.
Sadly it has to come to an end. My rating is a 10/10 beautiful show with great characters and a laid-back plot that's adorable.

Wow, this episode was eye candy. Art was absolutely gorgeous. I mean, this whole 2nd season was filled with vibrant art, impressive sakuga and great voice acting. The directing was incredible, especially considering this was a 12 episode Slice of Life.. comedy?
Yep, while keeping the typical fanservice and slapstick that made the 1st season blow up, this not only a SOL comedy, but also a SOL drama of some sorts. This season's worldbuilding was awesome, and we got a handful of peeks into the past of these beautiful characters. Overall a 9/10.

Thank you, Kyoto Animation. I'm glad you're back on your feet.

To think that comedy will the first showing of their rejuvenation despite all the hardships they faced deserves more respect than usual, especially given that it works well. Was hooked since the beginning and it is nice for them to end the season in a happy mood. In overall, my expectations was blown away.

As expected,

Kanna matured a lot, she did not outright eat that Butterfly.

LOL

___ ___ ___

Intense arm wrestling, Lucoa almost won until Shota got bribed by Tohru... does this count as cheating?

___ ___ ___

Also, did not expect to see Kobayashi in a wedding dress... cause she's a tomboy and thought she would be in a suit instead.

Not to mention I totally forgot Kobayashi was a girl for a few episodes tho...oops, lol.

Also, Also, Tohru is extremely beautiful with her hair down in wedding dress... wish I had a maid like her.

Everyone is preparing for the Tanabata festival in a good mood for a fitting finish, donning their yukatas that look lovely, except for some who choose not to wear (and that's OK).

Ilulu has come a long way since the start of Season 2, and is enjoying her time with Take. I'd wish these two kids were dating though...oh the puppy love. And Tohru gets her time with Kobayashi, spending alone time together, catching up on their past, and acknowledging the unrequited love for one another since Season 1.

Also, an afternoon picnic-cum-Sakura flower viewing with the entire character cast to finish things off on a good note. The totally one-sided arm wrestling show between humans and dragons that ends in Tohru's win (with a bit of bribing), how we're gonna miss this fun crew for the 2nd time in 4 years. Happy days are ahead..and with the marriage ceremony (even donning the dress), it's nice seeing both Tohru and Kobayashi almost getting it down, but the latter shuts it down immediately LOLS.

Indeed, this final episode title is fitting: Life is constant change, but it's OK to stop and appreciate it.

Thank you KyoAni for coming back strong!

this art was good, it reminded me of nichijou in Tooru 💖.

At the end of the day, this is a story of Miss Kobayashi. To see her her happy face at the second last cut, upon realising that she is not alone anymore is a profound way to end(?) this series on such a high note.

Very nice.

I wish Kobayashi could return Tohru´s affection a bit more incisively so it won´t feel very unilateral. Some times I felt bad more Tohru >.<

Anyway, great anime.

To have the entire cast of the show hang out for the last episode—what a way to end this season.

Overall, I give this a 7/10.

When you hear the theme of the first opening at the end, do not avoid taking a few tears from me, it feels so empty that kobayashi will end because it is an anime that I would never want to end, for me one of the best comedies that ever exist and that they give all the love towards the animation, thanks Kyoani for everything.

I'm very torn. For some reason or another, I can't say I liked this season QUITE as much as the first. I feel like there wasn't as much development of the relationship between the core "Kobayashi family", and what we did get lacked a lot of Kobayashi's signature insight into the nature of social structures. It may be the haze of time, but my recollection is the first season didn't spend as much time dwelling on characters I care less about (Shouta, Takiya, Fafnir, Ilulu).

On the other hand it was a masterfully executed and had some very high highs. Ilulu, for all that I really hate her design, ends up being a charming and likable character who sort of fits into a "teen daughter" role for the family. Kanna was there for comfy pastoral childhood adventures that nevertheless managed to show that she's growing up too (compare her attitude about going home in episode 10 to how she was as an unrepentant semi-feral runaway at the start of season 1). Elma was dramatically fleshed out and her conflict of ideology with Tooru laid bare in such a way that it flipped the formula of them merely being rivals because of their faction entirely on its head. Hell, even the Emperor of Demise managed to get some character development in the process of pulling the curtain back on what shaped Tooru herself, even if it felt kind of weirdly-placed. (Know that feel; fiction writing is hard.)

By the by, has anyone managed to identify which Mesoamerican myth Lucoa was invoking for their flower viewing? I'm pretty sure I've read about someone who turned into flowers, but I can't remember who it is (and those names are rough to remember).

Hmm, using the S1 intro during the last moments of the finale usually implies we won't be seeing a new season for quite some time (if at all), which kinda tracks with how all the KyoAni stuff went down. I'd love to watch more, but I understand if this is it.

Goddamn, the sakura petals in that last part were gorgeously animated...

This ep had 2 season finale arcs in one final ep lol, throwing in both the festival/fireworks and cherry blossoms.

Another fun season, I'd say I liked it marginally more than S1 (which I rewatched before starting this). And the way Kyoani constantly flexed their talent in this mostly lighthearted anime reminded me of Nichijou in the best possible way. Glad to see them back and strong as ever in the TV anime sphere.

This series was not bad but tbh I never understood why this anime is so popular with very high ratings. It might be just me but I felt bored watching most of these episodes coz nothing really happens. I know it's an SoL series with the supposed 'iyashikei' factor, but for me it failed on that front too. The only thing that kept me watching this anime is Kanna. She never fails to put a smile on my face whenever she shows up and episode 10 dedicated to her is by far my favorite episode this season. Ah, if only Kanna were the sole focus of this show...

Overall 7/10 imo... it was a decent anime.

Daaaaaamn it was just so great. The animation of the entire series is just awesome. I highly recommend this anime to the ones that just want a funny, chill and interesting show. 10/10 because of the animation, the seiyuus, the amazing op, and almost everything.
The only bad thing is we didn't get a confirmation for the second season at the last episode, but I don't think it's something to be worried about

First things first, let's get this out of the way... the kid/ adult pairings in this show... I hate them, I don't like them, and they're uncomfortable. I know they're done as comedic affect and not to be taken too seriously, but still, I think the show would be better off without them.
BUT, aside from that, absolutely amazing! We get to see a new side of all of the characters as well as just them having pure fun, not meant to be looked into and oh boy, it was great. There weren't any times in this whole season I felt bored or didn't feel like watching more which is unusual for me with anime, even the shows I love the most have some moments where I feel like that, so this was super refreshing.
Hopefully we get another season full of these lovable characters and amazing worlds.

Fuuuuck off with this forced Yuri shit. Teasing and stuff is all fine and good, but don't make it serious. Season was alright, but Kobayashi developing romantic stockholm and that brown haired creepy girl makes me deduct some points. Would have been a lot better if they didn't focus so much on pairing people

lmao, why did you even watch this series at all, let alone make it through 24 episiodes, if you hate lesbians? It's not like it's subtle.

They just live together, share in physical and emotional intimacy, and raise a daughter together. Nothing serious.

Riko and the Luloa/Shouta interactions are still the series' low points, and the third part of episode 9 seems utterly divorced of everything else, but all-in-all this is ends up a solidly entertaining addition to the franchise.

Once again, absolutely taken by how Kyoto ani have manged to create such a heart-warming but also action filled show that I'd argue managed to top s1 in a lot of areas.

Story was amazing, really well balance between casual light hearted SOL, deep character development and action which made this series so unique compared to other SOL. Arguably more action then last season but I also did feel like character's sky rocketed in terms of development this time around, contributing to making the story more hooking.

New characters were amazingly well done, Illulu's development was probably the most notable and well done in this series with it's meanings and representations. Majority of the main cast also received a form of developed which improved their character and made their more likeable.

Visuals were consistent to the end, however for a SOL, some of the action scenes were damn well rememberable and so well animated.

SFX besides the actions scenes were about average, otherwise Kyoto ani popped off with the sfx in the action scenes.

Overall s2 solid 8/10, after a 4 year gap it was great to watch this amazing show again, hopes to s3.

Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon is an anime slice of lice that approaches comedy taking dragons and their fantastic conception as an element of it, however this is nothing more than a mere pretext to address interesting topics such as human relationships, loneliness, routine, family and love; an anime that seeks to live in your mind through emotionally complex but pleasant moments, where fanservice abounds and above all moe... nevertheless it is relatively bearable.

Kyoto Animation couldn't possibly have made a better comeback to TV anime than this. Absolutely insane production values combined with so much wholesomeness is exactly what KyoAni fans wanted and needed.

They're a studio I've followed for a long time and I'll definitely keep following. They're top-tier, and this season of Kobayashi-san is a perfect example of them delivering top-tier animation. 9/10
