Lol nobody wiped out an entire race therefore there is no "genocide" You dont win wars by killing the Generals, you win by rendering the opponents army unable to fight IE kill as many as you can

It's technically maybe a light genocide. You don't have to be successful in wiping out the race for it to be genocide. Everything is true. The monsters weren't shown any so why should they care)in but Rimuru needs ten thousand souls for this plan to work. Eye for Eye.

If Rimiru started going after the citizens of Falmuth, you'd have an attempted genocide. Wiping out an invading force is not a genocide or attempted one.

That attack of Remuru would be perfect for Genocide, but he was not doing any this time, why is people accusing him of that?

It is nonsense. Rimuru is dealing with a literal invasion of a declared enemy in a war.

Repeating what i said in other topic:

Watch GATE Anime, where the pacifist Japanese Defense Forces had to deal with an agression by low-technology equiped armies from the fantasy world, killed +100.000 enemy soldiers in a blink of an eye, had to deal with all the bureaucracy of Japanese Government, in a Democracy under State of Law and Human Rights, in order to get authorization to that and when facing its aftermath, and never, never was acused of genocide.

That's war! And more yet, Self-Defense. And none civilian was kilked.

Btw, the only civilians killed was from Tempest! Falmuth did a war crime, not Rimuru.

This season is a split-cour, part 2 will be in summer 2021, don't worry they won't brush over it as it is a major plot point in part 2. Rimuru will get told eventually but you have to understand that's the least of their concerns rn as they are literally at war rn

Damn, this is all out brutality now. One simply does not anger the Great Rimuru-sama. Immortal Majin 'bout to face his wrath soon and honestly I'm curious to see how that'll play out. Death toll exceeding the 5k mark...

Meanwhile, Rimuru's forces are far too strong with the limitations off. Seeing the Orc Lord and Hakurou-san bossing the cocky lads was a treat to watch.

Still don't know how I feel about the whole reincarnation process but with two more episodes to go, hopefully this murky feeling will pass.

finally we got some actions. But I was actually expecting more EPIC animations tho. Like it's not bad or anything but it's nothing spectacular. This series is very popular so I'm kinda hoping other studio with better animation would animate next season.

They aren't even close to innocent. In case you missed something they slaughtered INNOCENT DEMONS WHICH WERE ONLY LIVING IN PEACE and with what reason? BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T MAKING THE SAME PROFITS. Of course it's understandable to maintain the wealth of ones country for the own population but to start directly a war without any negotiations was clearly to much. If this doesn't suit you then just drop this anime and search for a different one. There are plenty

Lol. Even Gabil looked so good in this episode with his own actions. Gobta-kun also looked too cool to believed. Its so rare i am cheering goblin slayed human, though in these case its really needed. Such a shame Souei and Benimaru action kinda underwhelmed, because its just seeing them slicing here and there with their respective powers. Well, seeing the old geezer power proved to be good enough to closed their part with a nice detail end toward that pity arrogant teen otherworlder. Good bye! Oh, shall i mention the female and the jerk one? Not enough time!

Because Rimuru-sama ready to got the food gathering festival done, only with a certain ton of water-drops light beam skills through their pity bodies. Be honored, to be the parts of those important moment, humans! Now i wonder what happen with that mage whose posessed a pity teen otherworlder and the king. They must be don't die quickly, right?

Damn this may be one of the most satisfying eps of Slime. To see the cocky otherworlder little shits get put in their place by Hakuro and Geld was the higlight of the episode. Benimaru also looked badass when he defeated the entire human camp in like 10 seconds lol. When Hakuro decapitated the white-haired guy(I don’t remember his name) I was fucking howling because of how much of an asshole he was.

The other guy Shogo was a real pussy cuz of how he straight up killed his ally just to get a power up like wtf man. However, he was still no match for Geld the orc lord and he just got beaten to a pulp until he healed then he was beaten again. Sadly he wasn’t killed by the monsters cuz he kept running away (even though he was talking shit about Geld “not fighting like a man” by using armor lol.)

They delayed Demon lord Rimuru for another week but it’s fine cuz we got to see the otherwolder bastards pay for what they did to Shion and Gobzo and the other Goblins.

I imagine somebody skiping from Ep. 5 to the end of episode 10.

- Aw right, so that stupid king is really lauching an invasion over Tempest.

- Time to shine good MC, just like you did before: quickly kill the King and show your tremendous superiority to gain the surrender of the troop...

- Wait

- Wha- what are you doing Remuru!? WHAT! WHY! Even a sadistic killing-count!?

- Where are the japanese summoned heroes who was planing to rebel against that evil king? NOOO REMURU! Stap! WHYYY?

Well, it goes relatively like I thought it would: the humans being overwhelmed by a lot. I'm a little disappointed by the very short screen time of Rimuru, and his tame animation of his attack (they could done something much more awe-inspiring I think, but ho well). Overall it was pretty good.

Having read the lightnovel and the manga, I still wonder why they changed this combat so much between the two. In the anime, the fight is the one of the manga.
In the lightnovel, there isn't other worlders like the three a*ssholes we've seen here (not that I remember at least). The one's protecting the magic devises are holy knights, and NONE of them are killed by the monsters, only Rimuru kill humans at this moment. In fact, those holy knight come lots of times in the story for multiple purpose.

The next episode is probably gonna be awesome, with a psychological aspect! And maybe we'll have the appearance of one emblematic character too, or else it will be in the following one! ^^

Nah, even in the manga the monsters wipe out the Falmulth forces that were protecting the devices. Rimuru just focuses on wiping out the main army of 20k.

Like I said, the anime is based on the manga so yeah they kill humans.
What you quoted from me is what happens in the lightnovel.

It was so freaking satisfying to see those humans wiped out. Seriously, I haven't felt so happy and peaceful in a long time.

You should see a psychologist or have a mental check if seeing humans being killed in genocide makes you happy and peaceful. Shows how immature you are, but I would not be surprised, as MAL is full of kids who have no idea what they are talking about. Pathetic.

Oh look, a mature person showed up. If anything, you sound like someone who needs help if you take everything so seriously and make whole off topic post just to attack someone. What really is "pathetic" is a person who tries to look all grown up and adult among kids (I'm your age btw) and who can't take a bit of black humor. Yes, it seems it's too hard for you to comprehend so I'll write it straight: my statement about "happy and peaceful" was a joke for the most part. I, and many other posters here, feel satisfied that the justice was served and author didn't pull some kind of "killing is bad" in a middle of war.
And if you really want to discuss those humans dying, even though you clearly attacked me personally, then do consider that author of this story went long way for viewers to hate those guys. Us being happy about humans getting killed was the goal. Also, it doesn't matter it's "humans" - it could be random monsters too. They are just enemies at war who played dirty and salughtered characters that we were made to like.
And no, it wasn't genocide. It was a battle, even if unfair. We even got the scene where soldiers are shown to actually enjoy their task (talking about women and treasures). Don't talk about them just doing their jobs when many killed monsters were civilians. And well, soldiers are killing for living so it's only natural that they should be ready to die too.

Well i am not as big as a fan of this series as some others but it has it's moments and this on here, man this episode in particular was very satisfying.

Those arrogant fools finally get what they deserved and seeing their pain and anguish just fills me with joy.

Yet still i can kind of sympathize just a little as they were technically forced into this situation for being forcefully summoned and used by that nation but you can tell they really did not have that much worth of redemption at this stage anyway. maybe the girl a little but she too had it coming.

Gobta, Geld the rest etc all of them was a pleasure to see them fight and just destroy them. :D

Yet they still left us with that cliffhanger as the demon transformation is still in the middle of being processed. oh i can't wait for next weeks episode.

I wonder if all the people whining about Rimuru slaughtering the invasion force had the same sentiment when he and his men killed like 50,000 Orcs in their last war. Or did that not matter because they're not human?

maybe because Orcs have no families to sorrow their deaths.

lol im kidding, but come on, did someone ever see a female Orc in TSSDK?

@mickbis thanks!

I've read the same event now in the manga and my guess is that the anime depicted it much much better (and it was not more goresome there. Just the holes a bit more clear in the soldiers, but without blood spreading). And the 4 previous battles (massacres) were better in the anime too.

Trully a great moment of this series.

Such a satisfying episode seeing Hakurou killed Kyouya. I was actually hoping that Kirara and Shougo died more painfully though.

I actually felt bad for Kirara . Even though she is A Bad girl.
When I saw her being choke and calling out for her mom, I felt bad for her. Though, if she was a male, I would feel differently. I guess my white knight senses (my rod) are screaming out to "save her", but I recall she a total bitch for false sexual accusation and her fail attempt to murder people around.

It could of been interesting to have Rimuru absorb/kill Kirara, but I doubt they want a main character kill off females, even if they're bad or possibly reuse and redeem the character, but I guess it's too far-fetch of an idea.

Haven't read the LN but the manga explains it as the water forming lenses and acting as magnifying glasses. He's basically shooting them with concentrated sunlight. It also shows the holes that are left in a body.

I see. Then the anime must've censored that attack, because I've watched that scene twice, and couldn't see any holes left in the bodies struck by the sunlight.

I can also close eyes for the logic if an attack like this is scientifically correct, as the animation looked good enough

also how to make the baddies look bad 101 paint them as rapist with one simple line ,not that i'd expect for them to add some depth to what is simply fodder to be slaughter but it was just a easy way to make you not feel bad about them getting one sided murdered

Even without those comments by some soldiers about raping and looting, there's still the fact that they're an invading army who already killed many in Tempest city, had them captive inside a barrier that also made them defenseless and were preparing to wipe them out of existence soon. I think you're giving too much credit to a couple dialog lines lol

But I understand your disappointment about some rather shallow characters like the otherworlders. I guess not every anime will have Re:Zero level of characters depth.

And honestly, given how much this anime have constantly dragged with recaps, retellings, reusing of scenes etc, I'm not sure the audience would have liked to get another dragging by introducing some sob backstory of those otherworlders at this point.

This episode was awesome, everyone getting revenge, nice fights. I want to see what he will look like as a demon lord, I'm guessing he will change appearance. Also, wonder if that wizard guy who took Shogo's body will survive. Is he stuck in the trap too? He said he is strong enough to take on a Demon lord, but maybe he was bluffing.

Glorious, simply glorious! Benimaru, now fully powered Hakurou (who's not only very good cutting with his sword but insults by way!), Souei and company are already given badasses in their own right but finally Gabiru and his Dragonewts, Gobta, Rigur, and Geld showing some mad skills, and they were downright merciless too!

What is this Words of the World Shougo was referring to? Is this like Rimuru's Great Sage?

Damn, Kyouya was very much conscious several seconds after he got decapitated, Hakurou even suggested he reflect on his evil deeds before he die. Kirara was just utterly useless and mere fodder to Shougo this episode. Shougo getting pummeled by Geld like a pulp despite instaheal mere moments after boasting his new skill was sweet justice, too bad Razen saved him then offed him in their own camp later, I guess that's poetic justice this time.

Geld was interrupted twice before he can kill Shougo, give the goddamn Orc Lord the courtesy to finish his damn business! LOL

I couldn't have asked for a better episode for my binge to stop on!

Like I knew those Otherworlders were going to die, but I didn't expect to manically laugh so much for a Slime anime. Except maybe Kirara death, the sound alone made me gag and it was so quick I was already anticipating Shougo's turn. Oh well, I just hope Razen and the rest of the main scumbags from that rotten kingdom get their dues too.

Hard to say, the Demon Lords vary wildly in strength (and not all of them are awakened). Milim is the second oldest Demon Lord and at least as strong as Veldora but Rimuru's evolution makes him particularly nasty so even if he can't match them in raw power, his skills might make up for it.

I realy like how Gerudo stole the spotlight for this episode and in lesser extent Gabiru too.
I've been always wanting to see Tempest monsters other than the Kijins fight in significant battles :)

I didnt expect Gerudo is this strong.
