Pretty good episode, not as good as the previous ones but I still enjoyed it. We got to see the other mail deliverer from the op, Chiaki(?)! Though, she's still no match for my beloved Fumika.
I really wonder how that rain could light out that fire so quickly, though. Even the inside of the house?! It was probably her mother's doing, or something like that. But still, it should be impossible! Even with a miracle.
Ah well, no bad end this time.

The episode was more like a filler to me, except for Chiaki and her staff Matoma's first appearance. Well, it was a good episode. What interests me though is what Chiaki said, that Fumika is different from all the other Shigofumi couriers because Fumika ages.

Can't possible be a filler if you get to know that Fumika is not exactly dead like the other carriers. Can't wait to get some info on that. The episode was good, even though it was weird how the rain put out all the flames like Sobzob said. Chiaki will also have a role in the next episode it seems, looking forward to it - I'm not sure if we'll get to see another sub though. I sure am hoping for it.

I agree, wasn't as good as the first three episodes. Still enjoyed it even though it was a typical, popular student with a bad past theme. Can't wait for next week.

Not a bad episode. I was wondering when that other mail carrier was going to make an appearance. It looks like I have to wait a little longer for more back story on Fumkia.

Precisely. So far we got an episodic (except for the first two episodes) thing going, in which you are slowly learning about Fumika and the Shigofumi system. It's possible the episodic pace will continue for a few more episodes while we slowly pick up new facts about Fumika, then something will happen and things will roll right into the conclusion.

It was a good episode. Not surprised to find out that Fumika ages, she has to be different from the others because she isn't dead yet. I'm curious as to why she was able to become a Shigofumi carrier even though she isn't dead. Maybe it has something to due with the letter her father sent after she killed him.

Good Episode im really curious about Fumika story. The face that the 4 eyed guy parent did said that something a lot larger is behind Fumika being a Shigofumi carrier now.

The tear on statue scene was a masterpiece :p

Yes the tear on the statue was a nice touch. Like max said, I also wonder how she was able to being a Shigofumi even though she seems to be in some sort of comatose state.

Oh yeah..must've been some strong sunlight to light that fire. It looked like it was just a water bottle it reflected through.

Heh I was wondering about that myself, then the rain put out the fire instantly. Oh well can't really be realistic about things, I mean there is a chick with a talking staff delivery letters from dead people after all.

Meh, boring episode. I've held off on judging this series until I watched these first four episodes, and I just don't get what everyone sees in this series (not even going to mention the godawful OP). Episode three was alright, but I swear, I would have preferred a bad end to the sappy ending of this episode.

Its proven by Physics that a water acts the same way as a magnifeing glass (or how its spelled) and its is possible to create a fire with a concentrated beam of light. How it got concentrated i dunno :p

About the rain it was wierd even the Shigofumi carriers said it. Well this is an anime so i'm not actually looking for realism.

As said before, while not as interesting as previous episodes, I still enjoyed it a lot. Nice to see another carrier, and it looks like we'll be seeing more of her next episode. Introducing Fumikas past seems to be going at a good pace as well.

I really like the soundtrack for this series, it has a good rythm to it and gives out that perfect "mystery" vibe.

It's actually the combination of the shape of the bottle and the water that creates a converging lens that mimics a magnifying glass (you can start fires with condoms filled with water too). The point was that the bottle was too far away to have a focal point at that spot to create a fire. Like we said though... no point in getting realistic.

I found this episode to be significantly less impressive vs. the other three. Though the background behind the new Shigofumi receiver was nice the new Shigofumi deliverer is too much an opposite to Fumika for my liking, and the interference of nature was annoying.

Despite being a disappointment, it was still a great episode! Kept me entertained :)

I wouldn't be surprised if her dad was a shigofumi and she killed him using that gun causing her to become one now even though she isn't fully dead yet. But then again that kids Dad, thats a cop seems to know something we don't yet. It should be interesting to find out the real reasons why shes a shigofumi.

You just have those persons.

Anyway, Chiaki looks pretty cool if you ask me xD Still curious about Fumika, as we get to know more about her every time... That statue : a bit too much if you ask me. It's like having a mother who has godly powers or being mother nature. Okay, since it's not a realistic show from the beginning, I guess it fits, but only this time xD Any more of these weird things, like indeed that water bottle, are just way too coincidental.

By the way, can't it be that if a shigofumi is delivered and the person doesn't want to read it, the person gets punished with death, since the person didn't show respect for the death? Just a suggestion, but it could be a reason with that weird fire starting.

^I'd like to think it was her mother who caused the rain but who knows?

Not as strong as the other episodes, but still pretty good nonetheless. Interesting background on Fumika, and I think Chiaki's gonna be a pretty nice addition to the cast; can't wait to see more of her. (Fumika always wins, though.)

I think he did thought the "mother" was the one who caused it. He was just musing about the very suspicious fire. It's not entirely unreasonable to believe those who disregard the final will of the dead to be punished with death.

I think this episode was a good change of pace. I mean all the letters can't result in something really tragic or somebody's whole world in chaos. Some letters should be made for resolutions of past mistakes. Now that we have had our happy moment we can go back to the regularly scheduled gloomy scenarios.

As far as the rain it was stated that someone else did it and that it was a kind action. Obviously it's a higher power intervening in this case and not some "natural" phenomenon.

Out of curiosity...was there no one else in that building? Will they find the person responsible for leaving that bottle out? Will that person get charged?

If we got 80% or higher let me know! :)

It was an OK episode, but the previous episodes were much better.
It's good that we got a little of Fumika's back story, and also a new character was introduced, which I think can will be pretty cool :P It seems like she'll be in the next episode also, so I'll wait and see.

It was a great story. I think they did a good job at not making the lesbians too fanservice (I've seen worse :P) and thought it was overall portrayed as a real meaningful relationship. Something I am very happy to finally see in a regular Anime.

I love the hints and bits and pieces of back story of Fumika's story. Love the series a solid 9 so far.

I dunno about you, but I got that the rain was from the mom... a possible deeper meaning? Cuz Fumika said that it was a kind rain. You never know how the dead works out in these types of things, cuz for all we know, the mom had a direct ascendancy to angel-status or something. The whole "it's a kind rain" thing just made me tear up, thinking that the mom sent it (is it just me with this conclusion?)
