| It's time to give a shout out to the women of culture in anime. Since the men of culture are always being highlighted. I have two favorites the first is Ayame from Shimoneta who is one of the funniest female characters in anime in my opinion and she makes her life goal to spread the word of culture throughout her boring world where the concept of dirty jokes doesn't exist. My other favorite is Darkness from Konosuba who is best girl from that show in my opinion (sorry megumin fans) most of my favorite moments from Konosuba come from Darkness so that's why she is my second favorite woman of culture in anime. |

| I really don't know, women's sexuality in anime is often cartoonishly caricatured. I can't think of a single female character who is interesting in her own right that also happens to have a high sex-drive, and not solely the butt of jokes and one-off gags. Anime is just in general rather ham-fisted when exploring sexuality. |

Gou (from Free Iwatobi Swim Club) is cute, hilarious, and one of the best characters in the whole series, but I ADORE Ayumu from the third season. In a sports anime full of muscle-bound swimmers she's a shameless chubby chaser. |

 Maria Naruse from Shinmai Maou no Testament was the first character of that archetype I've watched. So she'll always have that special slot all "first"s have. Plenty of honorable mentions: Cinnamon from Nekopara, Miwako Mizukoshi from HenSemi, Panty & Stocking from Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Ako and Riko Suminoe from Kiss x Sis, Kiriha from Tsugumomo - to add a few more to those already mentioned in this thread. It's a huge thing in anime, with many good representatives. |
