| Echidna my just be in race for best girl.... After Rem. Love the first half. Echidna seems like such a bad ass character. From the design to the personality. The way she was describing the witches were terrifying. The Witch of Envy was the worst of them all. Happy Emilia got some screen time, but once again she passed out somewhere lol. Luckly she is starting get some development. She starting to seem like an actual character now. Can't say the same for Ram. That ending was crazy. Are we going to see what Subaru life was before he got sent to their world? I would to see what his life was before all this. 4/5 |

| GAH another fucking set up episode. I just wish that we would get something more meaty pretty soon, but it seems like stuffs gonna get more interesting. Hopefully, we can get back to the super emotional charged segments of the show, bc that's when it does its best imo. I also felt like the tone of Subaru was kind of off when he was talking to Echidna tbh. I felt like there should have been more of a sense of overwhelming fear when he was interacting with her, but he was kinda all "Fine i'll fucking drink this cup of tea". Even when she said that she could answer any questions about stuff that he wanted to know, he answers with almost a nonchalant "Gotta go, gg". The last scene where Subaru runs into the temple is also rushed as fuck. Seconds after the light goes out, Subaru just runs in. There wasn't really a sufficient pause between when things went awry, and when Subaru runs into the temple, and it just feels oddly paced. Time to wait another week fuck |
| Hm.. Echidna is being.. friendly?.. Towards Subaru?.. Some lore for the Witches is what we're getting here?.. It all sounds very mysterious, but at the same time doesn't tell much.. Might as well just be some legends created about them, bearing none of the truth, who knows.. Echidna finds Subaru's existence quite desirable, huh.. Does she needs him for something in particular, I wonder?.. We'll see.. Hm?.. So Subaru now possesses Sloth's Witch Factor?.. Interesting.. So archbishops are people possessing these factors from dead Witches?.. Also interesting, how having Sloth Witch Factor influences Subaru.. Is it influencing him in any way?.. We don't see anything so far really.. It's kinda strange, to be honest.. Does some time have to pass or something before it'll start acting?.. Like time needed for absorption or something.. In the end.. It seems that Subaru doesn't remember the talk with Echidna?.. Yeah, seems like Subaru doesn't remember Echidna.. During Emilia's reasoning speech to villagers.. Familiar OST played.. | The relief is that the series is not finished and as already said in this topic, no all the misteries was revealed so far and Tappei still would be able to fool everyone else. Remembers me of SnK in the time of first season. Animeviewers coming with theories, manga readers, a lot ahead, coming with rude statements, and later everybody missed the truth, and missed BAD, uglily. |

| Echidna is very interesting. Honestly I can not tell if she is good or Evil. I mean clearly she has evil tendencies but for Roswall to be super invested in putting respect on her name...idk man I don't really trust Roswall at this point and time as well. Super excited for next weeks episode. |

| Interesting ending. Now I gotta complain about the subs Did they seriously translate "EMT" (Emilia Maji Tenshi) as "EMC" (Emilia... Mega Cute?)? That's stupid AF. EMA would've at least still been accurate. Cute =/= Angel. Completely different. Angel is a whole other tier of beauty and pureness. This localization is a failure. It doesn't portray what the writers intended. Honestly would've been better to just leave it as EMT. 99% of people watching Season 2 already know what EMT means anyway. Also "accept my friendship" wasn't remotely accurate. |

| Oooooh that ending! I'm so frickin' excited for this arc because it's gonna be super interesting to see Subaru's life before he was isekai'd. I have to say, I was anxious about what might transpire after Subaru met the Witch of Greed but she was actually quite adorable and seemed not necessarily to be an enemy. Plus, Roswaal's reaction Emilia calling her a witch makes me think she's not evil too. I'm really excited now that Garfiel - Nobuhiko Okamoto's character - has been introduced! I can never get enough of the character's he voices because they're always so interesting and Garf seems like no exception! |

| Aye, so it's good to know that everyone in the other group is alright, sucks that they can't leave though. Honestly pegged Echinda to be more of the evil type. I hope we get to see more of her this season, her attitude towards Subaru was pretty funny so wouldn't mind seeing them interact more. Also, totally thought Garfeil was gonna be a giant lizard or something. Did not expect him to be a person, and also to look like Federica. The two are most likely related somehow, wonder if we'll find out? Dang, hopefully Emilia and Subaru are able to get past the trial and get everyone out of Sanctuary (they probably will since I don't see the entire season taking place in the Sanctuary.) Also Subaru's dad seems like a pretty chad kinda guy, looking forward to learning more about Subaru's past in the next episode, and hopefully Emilia's too. |

| I really wanted to know who the responsible episode director was, to put him on my black list. My expectations were so high, this long-awaited meeting seemed so promising, but what a waste of potential. These were primary errors in rhythm, soundtrack, and framing. |

on | Wait: why are the human villagers trapped in Sanctuary to begin with? I'm...actually kinda liking season 2. I still stand by the idea that this series is a mess when it comes to the tone, but otherwise, it's...good. I like how it's been 3 episodes, yet there hasn't been any gore, showing that season 2 is, at least right now, not trying to be edgy (even though that's this show's main selling point). And most of all, the direction is much more clear and concise; in season 1, while there was a pattern with the arcs, the characters were much more reactive than active, especially Subaru. I really liked how this episode showed how Subaru matured: if he was the hot headed Subaru in the beginning of season 1, then he would've gotten furious at Garfiel for Emilia being trapped, and when the chief questioned Emilia, he would have immediately jumped to her defense with anger. So it shows that Subaru's calmer now (even if he still obnoxiously yells from time to time). Although I still don't like him as a character. Based on the teaser for season 2, there's going to be a point when everyone is laying around Subaru, dead, and Echidna seems to be responsible. What I like about the antagonists of this season (even though they're horrible) is that they're so powerful, it's really making me curious how Subaru will kill them: because Subaru's Return By Death is mostly useful to acquire knowledge, not fight. | Great ep. I love Echidna, she really does leave an impression with the way she is. Getting the small info dump about the other witches was well done and I like the VA chosen for Garfiel, it fits him very well. Also Subaru's dad at the end got a big kek out of me, more so than I thought it would. I'm very excited for the next ep. |

We even got some tidbits into Roswaal's backstory when he mentioned that the maathers family had been watching over the sactuary, aka, Echidna's tomb for genreations; which could also hint to why he was so picky with correcting Emilia when she referred to Echidna as the witch rather than by her name. There was so much information and set-up in this episode imo |
