Wtf?!?! Why does the anime have less than a 7 ?, Even Mahou Gakuin has more than a 7

Almost no one watched it yet, it's the insecure AoT fans downvoting again because they can.

You should care with this shit talk :) 12 votes for 1, but people still saying " AoT FaNS DoWnvotiNg BEcaUSE tHEY cAn" take advantage of the opportunity I would like to add that only idiots give rate after first episode so you have to wait for final rating.

A promising world with intriguing characters and the first episode was very well-paced.

Looks like this season is gonna be one of hidden gems.

We don't know what kind of people we truly are until the moment before our deaths.
As death comes to embrace you, you will realise what you are.
That's what death is, don't you think?

It is much worse than I imagined it would be. I expected a plot failure just like Mortal Engines was, and there are even more unusual things in plot terms than I imagined, but I didn't expect a weak production. In 2020 this CGI is unacceptable, the color palette is inappropriate, and the designs are simple and equally inappropriate for the proposal. I expected something more serious, but the timing comic parts, were almost cartoonish, and finished burying my hopes. As if that were not enough, there are already plot inconsistencies in the first episode. Terribly frustrating!

Interesting things: a few seconds of battles, and the soundtrack. It's just, it's over!

Why do I do these things? I knew I wasn't supposed to watch this shit, I had said I wasn't going to watch it when I read the synopsis and saw the trailer.

Nice start imho.
Feels like Trigger. And, yeah, giving Franxxx vibes. And hope it won't become Kabaneri (because it ended like disaster).

As for colors and CG and other flashy stuff.
I am not sure if many caught on it but when Kaburagi looks at Natsume playing Pipe it shows some kind of overlay interface. With his name in a corner and some action buttons on a left. And this makes me think of a 'player'/'agent'. Either android-like or game. And 'bug' is some kind of NPC/cattle control problem.
And at the end we see that 'real world/inner garden' of some kind.

So I guess it won't be about 'Natsume becoming soldier' trope. It would be 'discover world secret' trope.

Started off so typical I was thinking 'I've already watched this before...'. Becomes okay by mid-point and towards the end. That transformation though, that's when my interest tanked.

Wasn't even halfway through the ep before I realized I really liked this. The MC is charming and it world is pretty interesting.

The premise isn't exactly new, in fact it pains me to know the anime community enough to know it will undoubtedly be called a SnK ripoff. It does personally remind me of a few mecha series I like but the whole humanity vs outside forces ain't exactly a new concept by any means.

I wasn't that excited about this at first preairing but after seeing some sakuga fan hyping it up it turned out to be pretty good.

A show I looked forward to and I was quite pleased. The biggest interest I had was the architecture of the Deca Dence. I felt like they could show more of it and the more I saw was the most exciting experience with the episode. The characters were standard but likable for the most part. The character design overall was good.

The combat scenes could use some polishing as it could be hard to follow the choreography in the big battles. Kaburagi's parts were slightly better but I hope more from the director behind mob psycho.

The use of cg somewhat hurt the framerate at times but it was still on par of what you'd expect with cgi in anime.

And no it's not like AoT at all in my opinion. Saying that and spreading that might put the wrong expectations on people who are about to watch it.

i started this solely because Natsume looks kinda like Arte but i'm not sure if i'm interested in this kind of story lol guess i'll watch ep 2 before deciding

i admit the music is nice, Natsume is funny/cute, and the "Levi" scene was actually cool

holy fucking balls what did i just witness. I havent been this fucking amazed and stunned after watching a first episode of an anime in a good while. Animation, especially the action was literally NUT the fortress moving and transforming was fucking detailed as shit, characters seemed enjoyable, sound track and ed theme was fucking stellar and the concept of this anime seems fucking mad.
Admittedly i have a big soft spot when it comes to far-future anime's, with mechs, giant robots and fucking tons of action and explosions. The idea's people can come up with are so fucking mindboggling sometimes, and is probably one reason why i fell deeply in love with Darling In the FranXX. But this anime is more of a gritty, scavenger like mad max future, people are working with what they can, using what ever is at hand to both fortify there home and kill intruders with. The ideas for this anime seem fucking intense, giant mobile fortress that (i presume) use fuel out of these monster like creatures called Gadoll's blood, while it can also become a fucking spring trap punching box powerful enough to blow anything to atoms.
The action in just that single scene was on point, rubble flying everywhere, body parts flying everywhere, giant monsters stumbling around, people fighting with joy/fear in their eyes for a living. Not a single phone in sight, just people living the moment. I guess the ways the gears fight is by creating those bubbles which negate gravity for them??? Either way i hope they didn't blow their budget, action-wise on that one scene.
Characters seem likeable, Kaburagi (who i presume is ex gear as seen by his mad yoga skills?) seen as a very serious character, who has a lot of mystery shrouded around him and a very different ideal to Natsume, the very joyful and hyper active individual with a dream. I'm sure their relationship will workout one way or the other xD
all in all, fucking actually pumped to see where this anime leads, i'm already loving a lot about this anime and i hope it can keep up the momentum.

The start of the story was good until the class graduation.
Natsume reminded me a little of Luna from Mujin Wakusei Survive
Not just because of her orange hair color but because of her relationship with her father who also died doing his job sending her away in the process and giving her a strong desire to follow his steps but I’m not sure if Natsume’s father was a fighter, he looked like a researcher. After Natsume started work and met that baby creature that she supposed to want to kill that reminded me of Takita from drifting dragons she’s also a newbie in her job and once tried to save a baby dragon which normally she supposed to kill and eat and guess what else she has an orange hair. I don’t hate red haired characters but I hate that they are given similar personalities, character design wise I hate both Natsume and Takita but I’m willing to overlook appearance if story and characters are good. So far I don’t find myself excited for more content.

The story, as cited dozens of times, is extremely similar to SNK, heck even the way they fight is with those (kind of) backpacks attached to their backs and those blood-sucking pipes. Dont really mind it tbh, the animation is great and i also really like the concept of the moving fortress

The production seemed quite all right but the CGI was rather ugly. Storywise there was much exposition and it generally didn't interest me. I am not sure if I want to continue watching this, I expected more from the director and original creator of Death Parade.

I really liked this. The setting is great. Post-apocalyptic steampunk vibe. I like the main character's design and personality. She is basically Akko from Little Witch Academia in another world. I can see why some people would dislike her though. I feel like it's a love or hate thing. So far so good.

Decent episode, but that's about it. As people have pointed out it has elements of it which remind you of another few IP's like Darling in the Franxx and Mortal Engines.

I actually preferred the first 15 minutes of this before the battle, and the developing relationship between the two MC's. Anything after that I've seen dozens of times before.

3/5.

That was just waaay too much stuff. Not in the exciting way, but in the clusterfuck way.

Action was disappointing. The monster fighting scenes didn't have any thrill or sense of danger behind them. Monsters don't feel threatening. Didn't like the giant fortress fight sequence. The giant movements felt like they had no weight behind the punch/shot. CGI leaves much to be desired.

Thought the MC was a tween but then she was sexually assaulted and then got drunk? Uh.

The boss was the only thing I found intriguing. His ex-military past, possible compassion for the monsters (keeping a pet), and involvement with that shady organization finding "bugs". Does that organization kill, or just track down people after they die?

There was alot of CG but i wasnt bothered by it at all, sometimes i was even impressed, mainly the deca-dence itself, the CG gadoll also looked good for the most part as they were mostly used in the backgrounds making the battles more believable, the only somewhat janky CG was the actual big gadoll which didnt seem to blend very well with the rest of the world and seemed pretty plastic but there was alot of animated debris around it so they at least tried to make it more appealing to the eye.

you can think of it as the good 2D Humans of Anime using cobbled together CGI parts to free Anime from Terrible CGI monster mashes.

It's looking good. Just finished Arte so I'm curious to see how Len from Gun Gale Online fairs against Leo.

The response from this is gonna be kotetshujou no kabaneri allover again. BRUH THAT FIRST EP WAS HYPE, sakuga and all. Most of the scenes in the trailer were in this ep but with that intense 3D scene and that fucking flying action scene im still hype for next ep. Story-wise im still confused about everything and Natsume is still the only likeable character. Tho its kinda easy wat direction this anime want to go in that one ep and i like it.

this might be my preference but this celshaded characters and art style is better than onepunchman-s2-looking god of highschool so this is prob my top 1 this season.
