Honestly this is the only anime scene that made me cry :v |
"I want to show that woman the true Yoshikage Kira. I want her to hear how I feel deep inside. That I want to take your slender neck into these hands and strangle you to death." |

Classic Sailor Moon The death of the Inner Senshi. CSM was my first anime, I watched it in kindergarten. When they teleport off to the Arctic (?) and get killed off one by one for real, I was seriously disoriented because it wasn't supposed to happen like that, dammit. Seeing Usagi scared and disoriented at the death of her friends was also heartbreaking. Banana Fish Someone recommended it to me in that "don't Google, just watch" way and I expected comedy and lighthearted action when I saw "shoujo" as the genre. Boy, was I wrong. And I knew it couldn't have a happy ending, but I was still surprised how depressed it left me for a few days. Death Parade Chiyuki breaking down with guilt after seeing the effect of her suicide on her mother. Decim breaking down when he finally gives in to his emotions. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Sayaka being consumed by negative thoughts and feelings. She was a very sympathetic character and seeing her like that was gut-wrenching. Space Dandy Episode 8 of season 2, that takes place on planet Limbo. Everything about the episode is melancholic, from the art to the fantastic music, and even though it's not cry-your-eyes-out sad, it left me with a heavy heart for awhile. Despite that, it's quite possibly my favorite Dandy episode. |

It might not be the most scene i've ever seen in anime, but it's definitely in my top 5: - Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai When Sakura died, and Shiga is sitting with her mother on the table at her house, reading her diary and stuff, then he asks "sorry....i know i'm asking the wrong person.....but, can i cry now?" and he bursts into tears. That moment really got me. |

Wow I didn't expect to see this much spoilers from my PTW list lol Welp, I hope I forget the names before I start watching them As for me, it's either: Dadan beating Garp after Ace's death or The very end, and the epilogue, when Otonashi remained alone in the after world or Erwin's death or Caesar's death or Seperation from Kurisu I'm a very emotional person so those scenes were all the saddest scenes for me. |

Agree with a lot of the ones already stated, so let's do some answers that nobody has stated. Ending of Giovanni's Island. Gegege no Kitaro (2018) episode 6. Honestly, what tends to kill me more than any sort of death is a sacrifice of pure familial love, and this is a good example of that. Even if it is between a pet and its owner. (Or maybe because of it.... I'm a bit of an animal person) Rascal Does Not Dream of Dreaming Girl. Might be biased because it's more recent, but that scene in the middle, even if it gets undone..... I heard something snap inside me when it happened. Let's just say I felt the same as Sakuta. |

I thought I would never cry as much as I did with CLANNAD After Story but I was wrong. Gintama Episode 305 (Gintama° Episode 40). The pinnacle of any anime I have seen to date and it was so f*cking sad. shanimebib said: I shall remember this episode for the rest of my life. The "Arigatou" of the smiling Shouyou-sensei. The stunned look on Gintoki's face. The immediate painful smile as tears rolled down Gintoki's cheek. The desperate plea at the lungs' limit of Takasugi to not to do it. A single swing. And the beheading of Shouyou-sensei. I am yet to see a more painful moment in any medium. It messed me up for a whole week. The emptiness I felt. I can never forget the feels. I will never forget it. |

The entire last episode of Chrono Crusade is depressing as hell, but this scene takes the cake. |
Who are you and why do you show your hostility towards a complete stranger whom you've not once spoken with before. Are you seriously asking to get blocked? Well, if that's what your intent is; to tempt me into throwing hands with someone as lowly and insignificant as you, then i may grant your wish provided you articulate yourself a bit better when trying to spite a person of my wavelength. |

Flanders no Inu's ending (The Dog of Flanders, 1997) is about the saddest and most depressing story ever made into an anime. The end is more devastating than Fireflies, really. Because it's so avoidable. It also adds anger over that to the sadness about the actual events. |

One Piece Saul's sacrifice. When he laughs and smiles at Robin telling her "Someday you will meet brave friends who will protect you. Go and live with them Robin." . That shit hit me hard. It still does whenever I remember it. Naruto Shippuden Minato and Kushina's sacrifice. Peak Naruto right here. It doesn't get any better. Kushina's backstory is actually the best backstory in the whole series. It's memorable and left a big impression in me. Like, it felt special. It's kinda cool that the way she met Minato is pretty like the way Hinata met Naruto. Grave of the Fireflies The whole movie is just depressing as hell, but of course, the final scene (Setsuko's death) is just painful to watch. I'm pretty sure I spent the whole movie tearing up and finally broke in tears with this scene. |

Clannad AS when watching Ushio slowly dying, a part of me was dying along with her, the moment she just lost consciousness and Tomoya kept on screaming my heart was literally dead around that time. And a lot of Gintama moments, one that stands up the most was when Gintoki was remembering how he killed his master. |

Oof that's a TOUGH one, there's A Silent Voice where Shouko is apologizing to Sho's mother after his accident, that made the tears flow a bit, but what came to mind was Episode 10 [I Believe] of Violet Evergarden where Violet is writing 50 letters for the sickly mother watching that entire episode seeing the daughter getting upset, watching her mother in pain at times and the outcome of the reason for the letters, no shame in admitting the tears were free flowing on that one |

There is so many but I'd feel like doing them a disservice by not mentioning all of them so here we go One piece Robin first meeting her mother and calling out to her and everything that happens afterward. I can still feel it every time I hear that ost The merry's death. Yes I'm proud to say that I cried for a ship Dadan confronting garp after ace's death. After seeing their past together and realising how dadan cared for the boys and the realisation that even at her saddest point she was still thinking about them with her comment about luffy being the one suffering the most One piece is a tearjerker at his core Evangelion Shinji crying after defeating his second angel in front of toji and aida giving us a clear view of the pain he goes through inside the eva Rakugo Shin and Miyokichi's death. Shin losing everything again when he was finally ready to bounce back, the regrets all three of them felt at the moment and konatsu losing both her parents was too much Shiki Most of this tragedy really but especially poor nao's fate, being the only one in her family to being turned, living with the fact that she caused her family's doom by unknowingly inviting the vampires and her final moment K on The last scene of the girls at the clubroom not wanting to leave each other K on isn't the deepest of shows but this scene perfectly shows how deep the girl's friendship was and how much it means for all of them Hunter x Hunter Meruem and Komugi's last scene together The chimera ant girl being reunited with her mom and her immediately recognizing her daughter. There is too many great things about those 2 scenes for me to talk about here Trigun Vash's depression and his farewell to the old woman and her daughter Hokuto no ken Shuu's death and his final moment with kenshiro, Rei's death, sauser's final scene with his teacher, and julia's suicide attempt Another tearjerker in disguise Saint Seiya Seiya's death at the end of the hades saga before being able to meet his sister A scene foreshadowed through out the entire arc Most of Houseki no kuni #GivePhosAHug And the last ep of angel heart |
