I am not sure how much else I can say without just repeating myself every week. But I do want to keep up with the discussions. Seriously, this show is perfect. Sakuta and Mai are probably the best I have ever seen them together, and the introduction to Rio's Arc was amazing. The literal only thing about this show that I have not liked is Kunimi's current girlfriend just being a bitch. Hopefully they go over why he ended up with her. Because I cannot see a guy as nice as him wanting to be with such a horrible person. 10/10, Bunny Girl continues to be my favorite show ever
This is for all the gravy!!!

I swear, the Sakuta x Mai moments just keeps getting better and better! That scene was just SO sweet!

God damn it Sakuta, you messed up your kiss with Mai-san! Do as Mai-san says and practice so you can do a proper kiss with her with no interruptions! I love the part where Sakuta hugs the pillow after their romantic moment~ He's so adorable!

It's interesting regarding Shouko... She looks like Sakuta's first crush but this one's younger! This is getting even more intriguing...

So many girls in Sakuta's house... His girlfriend, his friend, his sister and his new acquaintance. In my opinion, still not a harem.

Time for Futaba's arc! So there are two of her this time? I'm pretty sure the other Futaba at school is what Futaba desires to do but doesn't have the courage to.

Really hope that Futaba's crush on Kunimi goes well!

If the solution of her arc is to accept both of herself, then this will really remind me of a certain game...

I wonder what is Mai going to say to Sakuta regarding her phone call with her manager...

I really like that in Futaba's ending, you don't just see Sakuta but also Kunimi! That's a really nice detail!

Also, really didn't expect the other Futaba to posts lewd photos of herself online in public! Let's see where this goes...

Except that I don't consider it even trying to be fantasy/detective/drama. Just because someone puts a few of these tags here on MAL and they are adding some stuff like that to not make it look like a generic harem ... it doesn't mean it actually is fantasy/detective or some of that stuff.

Would mean you just had to add 1 fantasy creature to a harem or whatever other genre ... to suddenly turn it fantasy and avoid it being a "harem" (or other stuff you don't want others to call it cause it sounds so bad).

Meh. It's just not written as a harem. It's not focused on romance either. And by fantasy I actually meant supernatural; the science is just intended as a POSSIBLE explanation, but even Futaba doesn't want to admit that the Adolescence Syndrome is scientifically possible, because it actually isn't. It's purely supernatural.

The anime didn't have a single boring episode. Each character with different adolescence syndrome problem is pretty interesting to watch. Episode 7 also ended with a cliffhanger, so totally looking forward to episode 8.

Futaba's arc is pretty interesting so far, I like how her illness is related to quantum physics (well she is the science girl after all), gave me some BioShock Infinite vibes.

I am also getting more and more curious about Shouko, what if she's really the one Sakuta met before but she is getting younger and younger. That movie can't come soon enough.

Best girl! Best girl! Mai is 100% best girl xD
I thought that the focus now would be the girl that was his first crush.

Futaba probably turned into 2 different Futaba's because she thought that her personality & way she looks was good to conquer that guy, so she made another personality with a much better appearance, in order to get that guy to like her.
But it obviously won't work, she has to accept herself and be in the middle of 2. I also wonder if that guy and his annoying gf will break.

So this time it's Futaba's arc and I like how they still didn't forget about the side character like Koga in this episode, at least she made an appearance to get the usual sexual harassment from Azusagawa.

What got me curious from today's episode is why's Futaba/Futaba2.0 post a pic like that (which is probably the cause of the syndrome) and that phone call that Mai got at the end of the episode. I hope it's not the usual "If you're in this line of work you can't have a bf" bs.

It felt relatively boring at first, by relatively I'm comparing it to the first 5 episodes. Well, in general it felt weak, and perhaps a little repetitive. Well, the bed scene was pretty good, I think it shew a part of Sakuta that we have not seen before, just him rolling in the bed out of his love for Mai. At the very end, Futaba's clone doing that was actually quite the shocker. Overall I can't wait for the next episode!

Did anyone notice Kaede's reaction to Mai's cellphone ringing?

I thought that was a perfect example of how well this show can draw out subtle details to foreshadow major plot points and development the characters

So far, Sheishun Buta is a solid 9/10 for me.

I'm so impressed and happy with how they're handling this arc despite only dedicating two episodes to it.

Not only does it show that Sakuta & Mai's relationship is constantly developing and progressing ( This episode displays that despite their constant flirty banter, they have their moments of genuine love & appreciation for each other ) but it also brings in an interesting conflict that kinda breaks the formula that has been established up until now.

I think with this arc Kamoshida really shows that even outside of the scope of what Sakuta can influence he is able to write excellent side characters that feel real with their own personal issues and Futaba - Kunimi's problem hits close to home for many. I also love that the director keeps the various foreshadowing that the book tend to have about later arcs such as Shoko & Kaede. Overall it's just such a joy to see all these characters which were mostly separated until now slowly form bonds on their own.

This new ending is so great. As Futaba slowly looses her labcoat and with that her stoic personality based on the realm of realism she walks towards Sakuta AND Kunimi. The two people who are the dearest to her in the world. It's just so feels good aaah!
Guys where did you see it so soon ?? Plz tell me if you don't mind.

Lmao at that attempted explanation of quantum teleportation. I guess it kinda works idk. In reality it's just separating two qubits that were in an entangled state and then doing something to one qubit will effect the other. Then you can apply some operation to the other qubit to retrieve the information. Something like that -it's been a while. Regardless it's a pretty silly analogy.

I wasn't expecting Fubata to have her arc now anyway since it seemed to setting up Shoko, but I guess they are saving that. This was pretty good anyway. I wish Mai and Sakuta would have actually kissed, but it was still pretty cute. Then they blindside us at the end with the risque pics lul. Should make for an interesting development.

I am seriously taken back each week with this series.

The chemistry between Sakuta and Mai is amazing! They might be my favorite couple in anime ever! Mai shows a dominating side at times but she can get easily embarrassed as well.

Damn this arc is starting to get JUICY with them pictures. HOT DAMN FUTABA.

I am so Happy Kaede is starting to come out of her shell a lot more. She did really freak out from Mai's phone call though. I wonder if there's more of a mental thing with cell phones and Kaede as well. I know there was the whole text messaging thing but there might be something deeper.

Kaede is best imouto.

Honestly, this show has some of the best dialogue. The dialogue is so good in the show it's overwhelming just how well thought out the dialogue is. If I'd dare, I put this show's dialogue on the level of some really good Hollywood movies. Great writing and animation. This show should be near 8.7-8.8 by the times it's finished.

Damn, this episode had a really good mysterious vibe to it!

It’s fianlly time for more Futaba!
Quantum Teleportation and whatnot, like Quantum Entanglement earlier, are a little baffling but thankfully we’re receiving a good chunk of info dump regarding it so no worries there. Now, we have two mirror images of Futaba and an unknown Makinohara Shouko figure, conincidentally Sakuta’s first crush from a couple years back. All this coupled with the ending of this episode, really makes all this one heck of a situation. I’m looking forward to seeing how Sakuta responds to all this now, and hoping to see more of Futaba in the meantime!
Back to the episode, that net cafe scene sure was startling. I had to rewind back to see whether or not the Futaba in the net Cafe was holding a phone, and was shocked to see she didn’t. Lol, Kaede’s numerous attempts at her Onii-Chan though, she really is adorable! I hope we don’t get into the ‘incest’ route anytime soon though, or ever for that matter. Different Personalities though, they totally seem the same to me.
Moving on, the little romantic scene between Mai and Sakuta was a nice addition! What a letdown by Sakuta though, you really need some practice xD. Mai’s manager’s reaction to Mai living in her boyfriend’s house, or rather even having a boyfriend, was hilarious. Kaede’s shocking expression when Mai’s phone rang though was really disheartening to see, I’m sure there’s more to this than just hate messages. Maybe she hates phones and any sort of contact with the outside world as a whole. Well, that’s my take on it anyway.

All in all, a really good start to the arc. Posts above suggests that next week’s episode will end this arc so I hope it’ll not be too rushed or haphazard, as I’m looking forward to it now!

If it continues on like this, it’ll hit the 9s by the time the show reaches its climax. I don’t think a score of 8.54, as of now, is a bad score for this show though, but maybe that’s just me as I find even ‘8.54/10’ to be a little overrated.

Oh okay, we are entering Futaba arc this week. And now we are talking about two futaba in one time. Really interesting, the girl who always help the problem solving every week now must suffering it, too. But, I think this isn't surprising, because she has unrequitted feeling to Kunimi, which is bring us back to how Koga got her devil syndrome.

But damn, what's with that twitter account ? Futaba, what are you doing ?? Nooo...!!! T_T don't be a bad girl.

If that's not enough to slap the face, take that call Mai-senpai receive from her manager, oh boy, I hope nothing happen with Sakuta-Mai relationship.

New ending. I think futaba's voice isn't as appealing as the other, but still has it own vibes. If we only saw Sakuta in first two ED, now we can see him.... with Kunimi.

I know right, I thought the exact same. Pretty sure Quantum Teleportation doesn’t work in this way, but again neither does Quantum Entanglement like earlier with Koga’s case. Theoretically speaking, though, there may be a possibility for such a thing to somehow work out so I’m all down to see how it is implemented here.
Time travel isn’t something that’s wholly certified just yet, although it seems like most people have accepted it worldwide already. Steins;Gate used this phenomenon to create a near-masterpiece of a story, so I hope this show can follow that example. Okay, maybe that’s just too much expectations so enough of that but I hope you get my point.

How does this show keep getting better and better with every passing ep? been a long time since I've been THIS invested in an anime, the interactions, relationships and how the series is directed, the pacing are all handled with such care, this is definitely my AOTY.
Putting Sakuta and Mai banters in an arc that doesnt focus on Mai feels so natural, nothing feels forced at all.
That Kaede PTSD tho, hope she recovers soon, she's such a great lil sister.

I can get what you're saying. I would say time travel is much easier to understand than quantum teleportation (in terms of what it is perceived as and not any science), but maybe this is partly due to how much it comes up in media. I doubt very many ppl watching this have any idea what quantum teleportation is.

The thing is quantum teleportation sounds really cool with the super buzzword-y title, but it's really just a super secure and fast way to transfer information. Time travel is literally moving forward/backward in time, which gives writers tons of possibilities. Still, those buzzwords are strong, so I could see it coming up more in fiction in the future. Especially with all the current research being done in the field.

Note that I'm no expect on quantum information/mechanics. I'm just recalling a quantum info and computing course I did in my undergrad.

They baited us into thinking this arc was Makihara Shouko, but it was in fact Futaba's arc! Interesting to see the 2 people existing simultaneously (not including the lingering mystery of younger Shouko)...it's like many student's dream, to have two of themselves, one to go to school for them, and real one can slack off. But it seems Futaba 2.0 is the side of Futaba that's a little too open, while the original is more reserved preferring to keep things bottled in, to the point of even not going to ger friends when her own home is taken over by a supposed "fake".

Wonder what's Kunimi's girlfriend's deal here. What does she gain from telling Sakuta this, a guy who she hates, about a girl eyeing her man? I'm guessing it's to prevent any rumors that would involve Kunimi being friends with someone who may or may not be "loose" in more ways than one.

Now that you mention it, I think you’re exactly right.

That’s true, time travel-esque shows have been abundant especially among sci-fi genre shows and it indeed much easier to comprehend and I, too, can’t imagine many people watching this show to know exactly what the cool-sounding Quantum Teleportation is. I’m not fully sure if it’s just information that is kept secured and transmitted, but the creator of the show clearly thinks otherwise. I’m curious to see how many more Quantum references he has made, lol. I’m also sure we’ll be getting more of these highly scientific fiction stories.

Oh, that’s nice! I’m not even in a University yet but I’m doing Physics, Quantum included, so I know a few things from here and there and from the internet obviously.

and there is shoko... well lets see what more could be her role in this one...

Another awesome episode!

Shouko is still a mystery, curious to see is she is relatet with Sakuta's past crush, i thought they would focus her for now, but seems Futaba comes first.

Seems that now exists two Futabas, when i saw Futaba with a diferent style, i found it strange, but i aprove Futaba with ponytail and without glasses, for sure! So they are the same, thinking the same, doing the same, her theorys always makes sense and i find it interesting! I wonder what have Futaba done with that secret account and if that is the cause of clone! Ending is awesome, as always, Kunimi is in ending so he is related with that!

Sakuta and Mai's relationship is becoming better and better, loving to see that development, amusing interactions between both, and their banter is so awesome to watch, their moment at night was so cute and sweet! And dont forget when Mai answered the phone and Sakuta told her to repeat, was so priceless!

"Do you prefer your little sisters to be young." Uhh..."Little" sister?

Futaba is in a ponytail...

Two Futabas...that's troublesome...

You gotta hand it to Mai. She understands Sakuta helping other girls, so she doesn't mind tagging along with him to help him as well. And yay! Futaba and Mai with Sakuta in the same household!

BROTH BATHWATER!

I read an article recently about Japan and it's declining population. Japanese males tend to have trouble getting into relationships with Japanese females. Here's one of the reasons why:

"Because I'll let you practice until you can do it well." If only more girls were this honest...

"This is my first breakfast in a while eating with others." So she eats alone at home? Don't tell me that Futaba is the Tsubasa Hanekawa of this series...

"You're a girl, so you like sweet things, right?" That's racist. *DING!*
Here we go again. The "give-a-girl-a-treat-and-she-instantly-falls-in-love-with-you" cliche. At least we know that both Futabas are aware of each other.

Oi Mai. Celebrities don't mention their boyfriends to other people!

"Hello, Azusagawa residence."
"Say that again."
"Hello, Azusagawa residence."
"Say it like a newlywed wife." Lol nice one.

Oh my god, Futaba did not just pull the social media card on this one! Well with that revelation, I'm guessing that Futaba is trying to make herself "attractive" to Kunimi, so she's trying to change. This is in conflict with her original self, which results in the two Futabas: The reserved Futaba and the attention-seeking Futaba. So how would this be resolved...hmm...I guess one of the Futabas is going to have to confess to Kunimi? Be yourself Futaba. Just be yourself!

This one episode really made me feel like the side characters are getting main character treatment; and that is a sign of excellent writing!

Hearing that this arc will get 2 episodes in this anime, the way they cramped the plot line into one episode is done in a way that you don't have to process way too much stuff after watching it. Instead, you want to look forward to the next episode as you want to see the outcome.

Overall, great episode. This anime just can't stop consistently surprising me.
