| Another great chapter from Oda. I wonder what beef Crocodile and Whitebeard had previously. Luffy and Whitebeard arguing and trying to compete with each other is pretty cool. So , another fierce alliance form. Can't wait to see what happens next. |

| lol @ the people saying ships in the air because of ivankovs wink, knew that was bullshit. And how come croc is so weak? He's meant to be a logia ffs, like admiral level? WB doesn't even turn around and luffy just takes him on. Is it because luffy was wet that he can block croc, or was croc wet? No way it's haki. Also, WB not turning around was bullshit. He didn't know croc was attacking him? Or you can't possibly be serious and think that croc can't damage WB at all, even with a free shot.. no way WB knew that luffy was gonna defend him. Guess it's just a setup for luffy to make his grand entrance to the WB stage, and because of epicness i'll let this slide Oda :p |

As for not taking out anyone of consequence, just wait till Ace is free of the kairoseki. I'm calling it now, heat + rubber = vulcanized steel-belted Michelin Man Luffy. Either that or it'll stink like a burning tire. |

| soooooo... awsome for the ones that r saying that Luffy can't control his Haki and for that he can't take down any major fighters ok luffy can't control his haki but his haki gets active when his determination and willpower gets high so he still can use it by accident and let's face it luffy gets stronger and learns new ways to fight in the middle of every big battle he faces so for him to start learning how to use haki he has to be in a fight like this one. oh and wolverine tonfas AWSOME... Like all logia users are of the same level, Crocodocile's power equals to almost that of an Admiral's, Crocodile's power gives us a total of BB's more or less, BB power level = Admirals....etc. |

If Devil fruit power was all there was to it, there'd be one dominant devil fruit where whoever ate would be the "God" Enel thought he was. I'm sure some devl fruits are inherently stronger and Oda has alluded to that pretty often, and some are naturally strong or weak against others. But Sky Island was also the point where Oda started introducing the idea of haki - to read attacks and, at very high levels, repel devil fruit altogether. Luffy was completely immune to Enel because he's rubber, but still got thrashed about because of Enel's use of haki which Luffy ultimately circumvented through other means. I don't think Croc has any haki to speak of, he didn't show anything of the sort on Alabasta. So he wasn't gonna scratch WB to begin with, except maybe pop a pimple with that hook of his. At the Admiral/WB level, the variety of devil fruit is a component of overall power, but so is haki. IMO anyway. | Y, ok, after reinterpreting I concede that WB creates the big wave that catches to escapees. Jimbei is looking down. Looks like WB creates the wave, which catches the battleship... but then Aokiji freezes it. Now, I don't think it was the original wave because a) the first tsunami is still frozen there during the Oars battle, b) the boat is stuck in the wave so I'm assuming it landed there when liquid then froze. Maybe it was the original wave or the wink (miracle) that happened to put the on that wave that made them fly. |
