---HOW I RATE---
10-Awesome, my personal favourites of all time. Some are admittedly not critically acclaimed or rated objectively overall, but i have a soft spot for because they were 10's at the time i watched them(like Urotsokidoji, Ninja Scroll etc).
9-Awesome, but one or two little things could have been done better, such as ending, or some little gripe with some bullshit no one else but me would notice(differs to manga or was so good but didn't reach the potential i thought it could have, and thus wasted the license). Otherwise highly recommended.
8-Really good, and just below awesome.
7-My average rating i give for decent shows, but i would not recommend these to non genre fans. There are better things to watch.
6-Below Average, and usually not worth watching, but some you will feel obliged to finish.
5-Usually Crap.
4-1. Crap. I only rated animes i've completed, and i don't think i've ever watched a 4-1 anime since i usually only check out series that i'd at least like to begin with, with the exception of perhaps dead leaves. lol. Now that's done, moving on..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Got into anime back in the day borrowing VHS from video shop.. mostly R rated OVA's such as Ninja Scroll, Akira, Guyver, GITS, Fist of North Star, Wicked City, Urotsukidoji etc.. i miss those days!
If you want to talk anime/manga or anything, dont be shy, just add me. Any recommendations? Recommend away in comments.
Not a big fan of generic mecha, although if the story/animation is really good, i'll check it out, ala code geass, or one of my all time favourites, GITS(which i dont really consider mecha, just futuristic). I'm a sucker for all those post apocalypse/fururistic/cyberpunk element stories..
I also don't mind the occasional shoujo, and i also like slice of life(ie yotsuba, mushishi), long sports drama/comedy(slamdunk, ippo, hikaru no go are some of my 10 rating series), and of course shounen(naruto/bleach - fillers). Also really like reading seinen stuff(ala sanctuary, jiraishin), so you can say my taste is pretty varied and i'm quite open minded when it comes to these kinds of things, which also extends to other mediums such as movies and music.
No yaoi please, and i'm not really into yuri/eroguro. Really.. ;)
Also, i'm not into techno music, and classical isn't my thing. I'm a sucker for 'classical' rock(Pink Floyd, Beatles, Eagles, Metallica, Radiohead, RHCP's etc), rnb/hip hop(ie REAL old school rnb ala Jodeci, SWV, 90's Mariah, Boyz 2 Men, 2pac and first snoop album doggystyle etc, not new age Rihanna and 50 cent rubbish they try to pass off as music these days). I'm a 80's/90's kid, what can i say.
That should give you the basic gist of things, if you are insane enough to want to know more, just msg me and we can chat and reminisce about the good ol days. Preferably if you're a sexy young lass. -_-

Don't get me wrong i would also certainly love to see a kung fu practitioner in MMA today and i would also love if Hiroki Endo covers kung fu in his manga. That would be certainly very interesting to see but as of now i don't see him doing that since the manga still has a long way to go and i'm positive that he will cover K1 or PRIDE fighting in his manga before UFC....if he ever plans too publish it for a longer time.
Anyway nice review of Meguru man :)
and greetings from Bulgaria [:
You're right, I read your "Souten Kouro" review [thanks for that], then browsed through your anime list - which hardened my resolve to start watching "Hikaru no Go" next [so hopefully, thanks for that too:].
I'm from the Unites States myself.
As for my massive drop list…well half of them are just stuff I dropped after 1 episode (these I usually just watch via streaming). Many of them I watched a good portion of, and some I have actually fully completed but am too ashamed to admit it lol. I only started adding stuff to my drop list because I couldn't keep track of what I had watched in the past, it got to the point where I would accidentally watch something twice and not realize that I had already tried it before. I would prefer not to have my dropped list appear publicly at all because it's just there for me to stay organized. It would also be nice if I could change the name of "Dropped" to "Won't Watch" instead, that would probably more accurate.
It seems that we're very much alike in that we both tend to focus more on the positive instead of the negative. I don't watch anime that I dislike either, I would rather spend my time on the stuff that I enjoy. We don't give out low ratings really, I like it.
xDDDD well thats all codes, and it takes long time and patience....if you know photoshop maybe you could make it yourself?
yes i agree with berserk and vinland, something just makes them so awesome to stand out XD
