sorry for late reply. Got busy, and will get a second dose of corona vacccine tom.

Magical Girl Raising

it's basically a no holds barred game of death. Even some adults would go bananas in that situation.. imagine a 7 year old put into such a thing?

yeah, if they known she's younger than them.. they might have treat her differently.

and I believe Swim is not malicious, all kills she did was in game. She does not kill civilians like Mary did. Also that last fight with Ripple is because Swim was provoked into fighting.. game was supposed to be over. :<

have you vote in the two polls? :)

and lastly, I was able to order the official fanbook. Would share some pics to you if you like. It would be arriving 2-3 weeks from now. :>

just passing by to say nice to see someone who think Swim Swim's actions are justified.

know it's an old topic, but I came late to the party.

As per discord announcements:
To those concerned with the 52 Weeks Challenge: We will be allowing a temporary 'watch anything' requirement for the weeks MAL was unavailable. The anime used must fit the basic requirements required for the challenge.
So this still stands even though it went longer than we originally thought xD lol

(By "basic requirements" it just means the length and type must match the challenge)

I'm not a big Sci-Fi watcher, and most of what I've watched buy you haven't and would be valid for your own challenge have Sci-Fi as a side or even marginal thing. That means I'll rec more or less what I can and not what I necessarily think you'd like, so feel free to ask someone else if you don't really like my recs.

My first rec will be the first anime of my favourite anime series along with Monogatari Series: Aria the Animation. Aria is an iyashikei series that is set in the fictional city of Neo Venezia: a city made in a terraformed Mars based on the now disappeared city of Venice. The city lives of tourism, especially undines (equivalent to the current gondoliers). The anime focuses on a set cast of undine apprentices and their teachers, and how they discover the city and themselves. Extremely slow paced, it's not really an anime to be rushed, instead watching 1-2 episodes per day when you feel like it. Of the three main seasons, the first is the weakest in my opinion, but it sets up characters and the main outline of the city for what's to come. I'd recommend this to anyone loving slow paced slice of life, or directly iyashikei shows, but I don't think it is too enjoyable outside that niche.

The second recommendation is Sora no Woto. Sora no Woto is an anime set in the fictional city of Seize, in the end of what is known of a world that recently lived an apocalypsis. The kicker is that the characters are soldiers, and the country they live in is in a war with its neighbour country, both trying to control what little is left of Europe before the world ends up totally destroyed. Even though the war is something really present in the anime, the show is a cute girls slice of life anime. It shows the wonders of the city, based on a real Spanish city, and how music brings people together, although it has some moments of tension. If you're interested in watching something other than a pure sci-fi anime, but you don't really want something as slow paced as Aria, Sora no Woto is a nice change of pace for a potentially monotone monogenre challenge (trust me, I know it's super easy to get fed up if you watch a lot of similar things in a short time even if you enjoy them).

The third anime I'm going to recommend is Kaiba. Kaiba is an original anime of the same director that made Tatami Galaxy and Ping Pong. It's the most sci-fi anime of the three, and it has no slice of life whatsoever, which is a change compared to the other two. It's set in a universe where you can store memories and put them in new bodies. If you like sci-fi, you can imagine what kind of world this is. It has the characteristic animation you'd expect in a Masaki Yuasa show, and it doesn't hesitate to show unpleasant scenes if that's what feels natural to happen, so if you're set of watching one of these shows and you want something that feels like what you'd expect in a sci-fi show, this is the one that fits the best.

Regardless of whether you end up using my recs or you ask someone else, I hope I eventually see your name pop up when correcting completed forms :D
