Toonami is probably what got most people in the US into anime, so chances are that they'll have fond memories of it.

If only they had Toonami here in Canada...

Those same people are likely the ones boycotting against dubs and fascinating over everything Japanese.
i agree and at the risk of starting a dub vs sub debate i found none of the shows that aired on toonami unlistenable yes i had my problems with the sao dub but i could still turn on toonami at any time and just enjoy it without even giving thought to what language it was in. i just dont understand how people can just turn on a show and feel so repulsed by it. i just dont get it

If there's anything to hate, it's Cartoon Network for booting Toonami out of the prime time slot.

They were losing ratings, they had no choice.plus, they wanted to move on in a different direction.

Well they are rerunning space dandy which sucks unless you missed the first few episodes. It like when they rerun fooly cooly. I watched in dubbed then subbed on hulu then dubbed. The only thing that i like on toonami right now is Black Lagoon, Blue exorcist, and Ghost in the Shell. Do you like the idea of rerunning a finish season of an anime series like space dandy?

Good to see they've discovered the awesomeness that is Black Lagoon though.

They're alright, it's somewhat of a refresher to see anime with English instead of Japanese with subs. I only ever tune in to support Toonami because...... it's Toonami what more do I need to say?

I personally wish they threw Space Dandy reruns where Sym-Bionic Titan is and threw Attack On Titan as the first show in the lineup. Still, Space Dandy season 2 is going to happen so its not all that big a deal, as they'll air that when it comes out.

I don't like that Inuyasha was removed from the lineup and that reruns of Naruto are airing. I'm not big on Naruto. And since I haven't watched Naruto, Naruto: Shippudden is out of the question too. I don't like Bleach, don't like Blue Exorcist, and have access to GitS: SAC on DVD, and I've already seen Space Dandy, so most of the shows in the lineup I don't care for. I like Black Lagoon and One Piece at least.

Maybe someone doesn't have good internet access, or maybe someone wants to watch a show and discuss it with others as it airs in the same way people do with many anime currently airing in Japan. Heck, with Space Dandy one has to wait each week to watch it unless they waited until it was done airing before watching it. Plus some shows some people might not feel too much of an urge to watch, so once a week on TV isn't half bad. Plus its legal to watch it on TV. The added Toonami Bumps, video game reviews, and TIE events also add to the fun of watching Toonami.

Yeah I like the shows. Though what bothers me is the amount of 5000 episode shonen series running on the block. I know it's obvious why they are there but it's a pretty much guarantee those slots are never going to change unless Toonami will be around in the year 2030.

I'm ok with them rerunning Space Dandy, since it is likely to increase anime's popularity to have an episodic anime on in the 11:30 time slot and besides I'm sure the rights were expense as F*ck so they need to get some use out of it. Season 2 in coming in July and they they have the rights for that too so it's not like season 1 is going to be on forever.

I'm don't really watch the big 3 (One Piece, Bleach, and Naruto) so nothing to say there.

I'm really happy that Black Lagoon and Blue Exorcist are on Toonami right now, since I haven't seen either, so I've been watching them weekly and I'm loving both.

After that, I stay up to watch FMA Brotherhood, which is at 3:30am, so I've wound up switching from watching Stand Alone complex on my own to watching it weekly, since it is right before FMA Brotherhood.

And then I crash about 30 seconds after FMA Brotherhood ends, cuz I don't care to to stay up for cartoons. the only anime left then is IGPX, which is too far into its running for me to get caught up.

i cant wait to see what the ratings for that will be. i mean space dandy averaged like 1.4 million viewers an episode so attack on titan because of its already established popularity will likely get more than that

Right now Toonami is airing 4 cartoon shows. Star Wars Clone Wars, Sym-Bionic Titan, Samurai Jack, and Beware Of The Batman. They are airing cartoons on an anime block. It pisses me off when Toonami is adding cartoon shows where Toonami is all about anime. And don't give that BULL F#$@% @^%@^$@# where Toonami can't afford any more anime, because they can. I feel that they should bring back some returning anime, Cowboy Bebop, Death Note, Samurai Champloo. Now YES they all were on Toonami way back, IDK maybe somewhere in 2001- 2008 (I might be wrong but I don't care) I was really little and I didn't have cartoon network but my cousin did. I really would like to see these anime RIGHT NOW. I think another big problem with Toonami is the Naruto & Naruto Shippuden. We should just have part 2. Honestly at this point no one needs to watch part 1 to understand part 2.

What anime do you want to see return? What anime do you feel needs to go?

Toonami is meant to be a action block. Nowhere does it say that they're a anime block. A lot of reasons why they're not airing those shows could be licensing issues and they go by popular demand. Btw, they are going to air cowboy bebop again later this year.

Anyway shows I would like to be on Toonami are magi, kill la kill, baccano, tenchi muyo, and gundam wing again.
