Just because it's revealed that Mutsuki's sex is woman, he still identified himself as man. Ishida still portrayed Mutsuki as this character with gender dysphoria. Now we know that Mutsuki's real reason he identify himself as man is to avoid trauma. In the narrative rn, Mutsuki apparently still switching between "Ore" and "Watashi" So, until Mutsuki embrace only one of them, I will continue refering to Mutsuki as a he ;D I don't "mess up" anything. Ishida says it's a woman that identifies as a woman. Now get back to Tumblr ;DDD |

I know jack shit about psychogy too but point is, Ishida went out of his way to make Mutsuki's past and trauma as gruesome as possible, arguably one of the worst in TG. However, with my very limited understanding of psychology, I see Kaneki and Mutsuki in a very similar situation. Mutsuki went berserk because he doesn't want Sensei to leave him, and Kaneki went berserk because he doesn't want Touka to leave him. Both have a very serious abandonment issues. I won't comment on the power-up because it's irrelevant and something I don't really pay attention to. |
