| I watched it so long ago that I don't really remember what happened last episode lol BEAST TITAN YAY I really liked his voice. The animation was really good, as expected of the first episode. @azy1999 Oh well, just to show how talking is a lot easier than doing. | Lol at the too reviewer who gave it a 5 and went on a rant on how this is overrated and it is poorly written. This is like watching 30 Episodes of Hunter x Hunter, Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Gintama and saying they're bad based on it. There is way way more to the story, It'll take quite some time to reach it. It's way better to keep the adaptation faithful to the Manga rather than cut it just to get to the interesting bits to please anime-only viewers. Now, onto this episode, the animation was gorgeous as always. Don't like the new OP and ED songs as much as I liked the first one but the abstract hidden spoilers in the ED were a nice touch. Micke's death was absolutely gruesome and even more macabre than in the manga. The voice actor for the Monkey Titan was perfect. This is a great beginning. I can't wait so see the next one. |

| I'm watching AoT after 4 years! I don't remember some things from the first season but anyway, that was a good start. I did not like the op and ed, otherwise I expect this arc will be intense! |
| Good first episode. After such a long wait, I really wasn't hyped at all but this episode managed to suck me right back into the show. I'm also happy that I didn't read the manga (and avoided spoilers as much as possible) since the suspense and mystery are some of the major hooks of this series for me and boy did this deliver on those fronts. The OP was... Average? It was clearly a rehash of the two OPs from last season which is a bit Lazy, but I guess the catchy-ness of Guren no Yumiya isn't something you can easily reproduce twice. Those visuals though, what were those weird creatures at the end lol. The animation was slightly worse than that of season 1's first episode imo but then again that episode was by far the best animated of the whole season. I hope this season will be more consistent animation wise and we won't have all those annoying stills (it would be a disgrace given that they had 3+ years and it's only one cour). The CGI horses didn't bother me. CGI rarely bothers me unless it's particularly bad. I like that they jumped right back from where we left eh. No time wasted. I don't know if I'm getting old or what but the way characters always talk while screaming or in super dramatic ways comes off as cheesy to me lol. It was nonetheless great to see most of these familiar faces back though. I really missed Sasha and Hange. Those titans... their movements, body language, facial expressions etc are so cartoonishly exaggerated and even outright hilarious, you'd think they were taken straight from a G-rated toon if you didn't know better. At the same time that kinda makes their actions even creepier. That ending with Mike was really creepy. Honestly, I don't know why Mike stood and tried to attack the Ape when he knew he couldn't even move in the first place due to his wounds, and had no gears anymore. I understand the 'you only lose when you stop fighting' thinking, but at the same time, a man alive will always be worth more than a dead one. I knew he'd die from the moment his acolyte said he won't die. That's such a big red flag in this series lol. Still sad to see him go though. Now, the real highlight of this episode for me was the Ape Titan. Fantastic presentation, amazing design, shrouded in so much mystery. He's smart, can speak and is definitely unlike any other titan we've seen before. When he opened his mouth and spoke, I got goosepumps lol. Nothing has grabbed my attention in this series quite like that since the first appearance of the female titan (which to this day still remains the most intense moment of the series imo). Overall, good episode and did its job of keeping me interested and craving for more. Can't wait for next week! |

| I'm glad I never read the manga. The plot twists are what makes SnK good. The ape titan.... oh man, those shivers when he spoke! The OP/ED this season are quite forgettable though. That ED hurt my ears too, what even. |
| My god, this anime looks beautiful. Knowing the story forward I wasn't too excited for S02 but here I am watching it again and yep, this anime looks are really top quality. |

| It's finally back. The wait is over. Great first episode. Awesome to see everyone again. OP song is great & ED song is not bad as well. The Art is great. Hanji not messing around. Forgot how scary & disturbing Titans can be. That one titan spinning & sprinting was scary. Great to see 3-D maneuver gear in action again. DAMN the Beast Titan throwing the horse at Mike & talking. That was intense & thrilling. R.I.P Mike. His death was so brutal. Nice to see this show back & cannot wait to see what comes next. |

My favourite scene from this episode: Not a care about the predicament they are in, letting the flow of time not affecting them and playing chess like there's always a tomorrow. Also, I like the way they seem to think alike. Look how they have the same pieces taken down (2 Pawns, 1 Rook and 1 Knight). They would make Fujoshis' dream pair, no? I almost forgot why I enjoyed this anime so much. Sasha. Mikasa. And Levi. And next episode is about my Potato Girl so I am super excited. Kobayashi♡Yuu-san is the best! |

Mmmm, I don't remember the exact chapter, it's a flashback disguissed as a nightmare where Ghrisa yells at Eren with a syringe in his hand. But now I've remembered that even this being shown in S1, the important part is actually portrayed farther in the manga than this season is going to reach. Feels bad man. About Annie's one, I don't remember the exact chapter, but something related with his father flashback and how the people in the walls are the enemy. I'd like to be less vague, but when I was writting the previous post I realized that I couldn't say anything more than those hints without revealing shifter names, where they are from and the lore of the world. |

| Pretty fucking amazing first episode after all these years! Orangutan titan can talk and seems actually intelligent, WTF O_O Could he be a titan shifter too? And FINALLY I got to see Levi, I missed him sooo much! Hanji also got surprisingly badass moment, looked pretty manly there alright. Sadly, opening isn't even half as awesome as the previous ones :(( And neither is the ending, in fact. Dunno, it's just weird, and seems kinda spoiler-ish? The worst thing is that now I have to wait entire freaking week for continuation. And that there are gonna be only 12 episodes released now.... GODDAMMIIIIIT.  |

| aaaaaaand ITS BACK *angry german child intensifes* we got to see some familiar faces (except jean), but so far we get to see pretty much all of the 104th squad and of course hanji, erwin, and levi (double squeal for the last two eek! *fangirls*) i really liked the new op, i feel that it's gonna fit this season pretty well - speaking of this season, i am a little disappointed with how we'll only be getting 12 episodes, especially after waiting 4 years :( but, at least we got something, so it'll do for now the beast titan genuinely scared the shit out of me - i don't like creepy things with creepy voices (ie when i watched the first rip of claymore the talking yoma in the beginning aka raki's brother gave me nightmares :p) but i think they did a good job finding a va mike's death was sad + disturbing, as a manga reader i was expecting it to happen within the first few episodes but when i saw the title of this episode i knew this was the one. rip mike, we'll forever remember you and your keen sense of smell |
| A good start. It was definitely worth the wait. I kept myself away from the manga to make a first-hand experience and it payed off. As an anime-only viewer there sure are some reveals to look forward to: the wall consists of Titans?The 'church' knew this from the start? The beast Titan. Wow. Really looking forward to more details about all this. Judging from the PV I just hope they won't 'waste' a whole episode for Sasha's background story. |

| Never said the opposite. I'm in the opinion that MAL shoud't consider ratings and reviews from people who haven't watched all episodes of an anime. However, doing so might lose them subscribers and they probably won't proceed as a result. It's the smart decision from a business standpoint. Posting a full review about how a show is terrible or amazing afetr only 1 episode has aired is dumb, to say the least. |

For those who read the manga, ep 1 was the only one they could screw over though... From here onward it can only be awesome with tons of action, plot twists, etc. |

| Another anime I've been waiting for years, is finally here! OP is great, as expected from Linked Horizon. The ED is kinda, dark, and I like it so much! For a non-manga reader like me, I'm so hyped for this new season. I heard this season is confirmed to only have 12 episodes, so like it or not, I might gonna read the manga after the season ends lol |

| This was a pretty good ep1. I got more than I expected since i thought it was going to be mostly a rerap of what happened in season 1, and that ending song gave me the jiterrrrsss |
