David Productions have never changed the ending in during seasons, all 4 seasons the anime has so far have the same ending from start to finish:

Season 1: Roundabout
Season 2: Walk like an egyptian
Season 3: Last train home
Season 4: I want you

Season 5 will probably have only 1 ending too.

Welp I'm just being an unreasonable fan here
Don't get me wrong I like this song by Savage Garden
but I kind of wanted a change in ED around halfway
of the season. Especially those songs that I've mentioned
will intensify the what's going on in Morioh.
Part 5, I wonder what song will represent early 2000's?
2pac or Biggie...............?.

People don't seem to understand how difficult animation is to produce. It is very costly and they are crunched for time, what with having it scheduled as 3 continuous cours instead of 4 with a break like Part 3 was.

David isn't a huge studio like A1 Pictures of KyoAni, so they have to be smart about how they handle things. BD release might see improvements, as is typical in anime, but as others have said, the close up shots are quite impressive.

This has been a damn good adaptation. You'll find those QUALITY shots in basically every anime, so just calm down, people.

Not to mention this is a late-night show where there's hardly enough viewership. I had just explained this earlier

Awesome episode. Hayato defying fate.
Josuke showing up was awesome.

Jotaro, Koichi & Rohan so close.

Oh no Okuyasu, please wake up!!
DAMN Hayato is fearless blowing up, but seeing Crazy Diamond fix him is cool.

Kira combining his bombs with Stray Cats air bubble. What a deadly combination.

Josuke using his blood to slice the air bubble is badass.
2 more eps left. Excited to see how this all ends.

He just made a phone call to wake him up early, because he overheard him speaking about getting late when they met before and he noticed that Josuke came from the place where Kira was minutes before.

What I love about Kira compared to other major antagonists like Dio and Kars is that he really despises confrontation and is a bit of a coward when push comes to shove. The way he initially tried to bolt when Josuke and Okuyasu turned up was pretty hilarious, especially when like 2 seconds earlier he was laughing about how invincible he was.

It's just great to have an antagonist whose actions don't stem from ambition, and whose downfall isn't their pride.

Also I'm just gonna pretend that thing with Okuyasu didn't happen. Surely Araki wouldn't curse four generations of JoJo best bros...it happens everytime, I swear ;_;

And i thought they'll go full out with these episodes. The animation is terrible.
The final of SC shits over this. And yes even with Dios faces. I'm honestly interested how DP is dividing their budget. By that I mean even the unimportant episodes (rat one for example) were better animated.
Besides the animation it also feels weirdly paced. Maybe because the low quality animation was distracting.

You're confusing animation and frames. The ratt eps has great frames but as far as quality goes, it's on par with other average jojo eps.

The rat episode was properly animated because it was entirely done by a single guy, one single person animated the whole episode, that's why the animation was consistent.

That eps was only key framed by one guy, he didn't animate the whole episode. Just wanna get this straight

Meanwhile Koichi, Rohan and Jotaro are still standing like 30 feet away without noticing a thing, including the multiple explosions and people screaming at the top of their voice.

The rain sounds like Josuke's voice? Has Jotaro gone braindead between episodes?

Explosions are silent. And tbf they're like 3 house and an intersection away from josuke.

The only thing bugging me is why didn't hayato warn rohan and co when kira was occupied by josuke

Yeah the "animation" was not the prob in this ep. It's on par with everything in DIU so far. I mean hell, we got that cool 20 seconds of actual stand fighting -- pretty rare for the animation to get that intense.

The problem was the direction. You've got the big Josuke reveal right at the top of the ep. That's a HUGE moment in the manga. But here it's just low energy as all hell -- even the soundtrack isn't really excited about it.

Same goes throughout the episode. Lot of flat shots, GREAT frames of Josuke and Kira but they keep reiterating the same crap over and over again, especially in the "should I touch Okuyasu" scene. I have zero clue why they would cut stuff like the math scene and Kira complaining about summer camp when they had SO MUCH room to shove it in there.

Just when I was wondering how they would be able to fight Kira, he gets even more OP with that air bullet HAX.
Though the way Jousuke found him out (through Kira's mouth mind you) was kinda funny to me; seems luck wasn't in Kira's favor that moment.

Good episode overall, and more respect to Jousuke's stand power; it's too awesome that even Kira is scared of it.
And not sure if Okuyasu is dead, but it sure seems like it. If so, RIP.

Episode wasn't bad, but it lacks the intensity that I felt it deserved. The fact that Hayato does not yell or attempt to get Rohan and crew is a joke just like the rain sounding like Josuke. Also it's really convenient that Killa Queen has a nice abdomen compartment that was never shown before to perfectly house the cat plant.

Also, not to insult hiim/sound like any less a fan of his, but there are certain things that Araki just can't draw right throughout the whole entire manga - be it shonen or seinen edition
(while these animators...actually can!)

I do remember thinking that it was really goofy that the group couldn't hear all the explosions going on less than 30 feet away, back when I read the manga, lol. Now it seems even goofier since we can hear all the sound effects too (as opposed to the silence when reading).

IMO this aspect isn't worth defending. It is truly silly. But I still find the episode to be pretty enjoyable nonetheless.

How can you call him out for cherrypicking when you cherrypicked some mid-distance shots that looked weird which only lasted for a few seconds to prove your point that this show has "terrible animation"?

People are acting like this episode actually had animation or shots anywhere near as bad as DIO's World, when it clearly isn't the case. This episode alone had some of the best shots in the anime, Killer Queen has never looked better and by God the animation for the scene where Killer Queen and Crazy Diamond fought had more fluidity and animation put into it than literally every throwdown scene between Star Platinum and The World which were just looped scenes of punches being thrown.

I can understand criticising the anime for some wonky frames (Which 9/10 of the time get fixed in the BDs which people like you won't even bother to buy to support the series with money that could actually go to mending stuff like this in the future) but to discredit the whole anime for a few wonky distance shots when pretty much for every "QUALITY" shot there are around 7 detailed, brilliant shots in the exact same episode is unreasonable as hell.

I can legitimately say with confidence that the "QUALITY" frames people are talking about don't even take up 1/7th of the episode, pretty much 90% of the episode consisted of great animation and really well done, quality shots, as is the case for pretty much every episode in the part 4 anime.

David Productions ISN'T a high-end studio like say Madhouse, but for what they have they've been doing nothing but justice to this part. Cut them some slack, it's ridiculous how overly-critical the JoJo fanbase is about this anime when we easily could have gotten something akin to Berserk 2016.

This looked terrible. And I don't just mean the random low quality shots and animation. They really failed to portray a sense of distance in this fight. It looked like Rohan and co are just around the corner in some shots, which made it really difficult to suspend my disbelief at times, because they seemed so close it looked unnatural not to hear anything. Also the distance between Josuke and Kira seemed to shift at times from scene to scene. Wierd episode. Considering this is the finale I would think they would have tried their best here.

Also that scene where Josuke fixes a Hayato that was just disintegrated is just another thing to remind me of why part 4 is at the bottom of JoJo parts for me. Oh well. Still better than anything else that comes out today.

He wasn't disintegrated in the manga tho. His head was the least demaged. David Production made it look far more lethal for some reason.

In all fairness, this part of the fight is one that would be quite difficult to adapt "perfectly" into anime. In the manga it involves quite a lot of talking, even during slow scenes like with the air bubble, transitioning that dialogue into a moving scene is no easy feat. But things like the distance and positioning are all stuff that gets fixed in the Blurays, look at the bluray fixes for Red Hot Chilli Peppers 2 and you can see how much of a nut they are for adjusting stuff like positioning.

Truth be told the fact the group can't hear them was hard to believe, but I don't really think all these parts can discount how good the episode overall was in terms of conflict and tension. As for Hayato's disintegration, you could make the argument that Josuke managed to fix him before he fully disintegrated so he was able to be saved, we've not really seen Josuke try to fix others mid-explosion before and he was literally right there so he'd have been prepared to do it straight away.

Think you're exaggerating about this really, these are blemishes but they don't detract enough to make Part 4 "bad", not ripping on the series but if you want bad writing go look a part 2's final battle, or part 3's "Same kind of Stand" schtick. Give some credit at least to how much of a genius Josuke was this whole battle, coming up with ideas on the fly and never having to resort to a cheap asspull "Hidden ability".

That episode went by so fast. There was so much action.

All the JoJo fags already spoiled the fact that Okuyasu dies so when I saw it happen, I wasn't shocked.
Not like when fucking Avdol died twice in Stardust Crusaders, and then Iggy, and Kakyoin, and then Joseph...

But still, what the actual fuck.

Overall gonna stand in your defense and as a manga fan say 2011 is in every way better than 99. The link he provided only shows the hunter exams which was slightly censored. This is a jojo thread enough about other anime kkthx.

Why can Hayato see air bullets, but Josuke can't?

And i thought they'll go full out with these episodes. The animation is terrible.
The final of SC shits over this. And yes even with Dios faces. I'm honestly interested how DP is dividing their budget. By that I mean even the unimportant episodes (rat one for example) were better animated.
Besides the animation it also feels weirdly paced. Maybe because the low quality animation was distracting.

This. I was expecting super top notch quality but still can't deny how amazing this episode is.

I think for this episode specifically it would have been much harder to go all-out on "super top notch quality" which even then I'd argue the episode was filled to the brim with, Killer Queen looked so damn good consistently that it gives The World a run for its money. Once again, this fight really wouldn't have been easy to transition into anime because there's a lot less action and it's much more of a mindgame battle, if they snipped dialogue and text to make it flow more smoothyl people would have been crying and complaining that the adaptation is unfaithful so handling this portion of the fight is a double-edged sword on its own.

David Productions have never changed the ending in during seasons, all 4 seasons the anime has so far have the same ending from start to finish:

Season 1: Roundabout
Season 2: Walk like an egyptian
Season 3: Last train home
Season 4: I want you

Season 5 will probably have only 1 ending too.

No part 3 was 4 seasons long...
and part 4 is 3 seasons long...
What are you talking about? Even by your ruling it should've switched at episode 25.

Part 3 got two seasons, Part 4 got one season.

Maybe a bit irrelevant, but what was the point of Bites the Dust going back in time? Wouldn't it be more efficient just killing the targets like it should without going back in time to potentially mess the whole thing?

Yes but wouldn't it be more efficient if Dios The World stopped time for an infinite amount of time? Or if Luffys gum gum fruit would give him the power to kill anyone by simply wishing him dead?
