| Im surprised people are tearing into this show as hard as they are. It's like they set expectations for themselves and are upset the show isn't delivering something it didn't promise in the first place. For a nice upbeat and casual watch this show does its job extraordinarily well. The jokes aren't anything special, but it is nice to let it take you at its pace. |
| So other than the gigantic plot absurdities that others have pointed out (like security panels on the wall and putting 4 of the most notorious escape artists together in the same cell), it was pretty entertaining. Love the character design and the voices (most of whom are pretty unknown), especially Jūgo (most interesting character) and Nico (cutest voice). I seriously thought at the beginning that Jūgo was voiced by Mark Ishii (Shindō Chrono). Maybe I've watched so much anime at this point that I don't care a lot about tight plots and I just accept that characters do stupid things because if they had a brain there wouldn't be a story. | The colors, the art, the character design! I AM IN LOVE. What a fun first episode!! As for the comments about the fujobait... that's probably true. But then again, any series with more than one male character in it is fodder for fujoshis. It's kind of inescapable at this point. Anyway, I loved this first episode. It was funny and ridiculously flamboyant and exciting all the way through. There's always one series that makes me fall in love within the first episode, and I'm thinking it's this one this season. :)  |

| I'm pretty disappointed... Nanbaka is one of the few animes for which I had (moderate) expectations this season, mostly because of his colorful design, but the first episode lacked craziness. The prison's traps (including Hajime's brother...) were average and the humor... Well, I chuckled once or twice. Nothing new here either. The MC's past was intriguing though, I wanna know more about this. |

| Just watched E1!! It was really funny and already im in love with the 4 main inmates! Their physical appearances are so silly and I love Nico/25! Can't wait for more! |
| Well, despite not liking the character designs this one really grew on me as the episodes went on. I really did like the rapid fire delivery and it's nowhere near as cringey as I was expecting. |
| Really please with how it turned out. I was worried the manga wouldn't manage to translate but it was pretty good. An acceptable amount of sparkle (I feel like there was someone whose job it was to just throw sparkles everywhere) The animation quality wasn't great but I wasn't expecting it. Anyway I'm hyped. Nanbaka is a fun ride if you are willing to go on it. |
| This Anime is trying way too hard to be 'edgy'. Doesn't know if it wants to be funny or serious and unfortunately the two styles aren't mixing at all. I'll continue watching it for the comedy aspects, but will probably end in a drop. |

| I really thought this will be just a prison-break over and over with some slapstick joke involving it. But after no.15 told about his past in that visit room, I believe this is gonna be exciting. |

| The first ep is gold for real. Everything is perfect. The plot is pretty funny so I can't wait for next week. You guys just need to take this series with a grain of salt. ^^ |

| Why is this so fucking sparkly?! It's distracting... And why are there so many traps?! Why do they wear nail polish.. IN PRISON?! Anyway, not really my kind of humor. The four main characters already annoy the shit out of me. Will watch a few more episodes until I'll decide if I drop it or not. However, girls will love this anyway (I'm a girl as well... but yeah...). |
| It looks like this series is going to be explosions of pretty colors and sparkles. I like that. I laughed a couple times in this episode. OP and ED were pretty catchy to listen to. I also like the character designs, they look good. Great start for this series IMO. |

| That had more sparkles than a teen vampire romance book. I'm not sure what to think about this. It's a comedy, though I didn't find the humor very strong in the first ep, and it's got that "2 15 minute stories in an episode" format whic reminds me more of western cartoons than anime. I'll keep it for a few eps at least to see whether it's worth keeping up with or dropped. |

| Just watched the first episode, i quite liked it. I though the visuals fit the settings very well, character designs are also fun and interesting. Been awhile since i've watched an anime that had me outright screaming with laughter. I'm gonna keep watching this as it comes out. I can't get the op theme out of my head. |

| This was fantastic! You can see there's a great director working on this. I had a lot of fun watching this, the comedy was great, the action was exciting, the characters are really fun to watch and I'm looking forward to more of this craziness. |

| ... why is there a comedy tag when it wasn't even funny... out of the whole 23minutes I only laughed once and that was when Jyugo was saying he likes guys when he found out that Hajime's younger brother was a cross dresser.. so.. who was the directer of this first episode cos this isn't how it should be done. DX the whole anime duration I was wondering what the plot was and if it seriously was just them trying to escape prison the whole time; if it was it should have been a shorter anime and not a full... x_x they got me the last 3mins so now I'm curious to see why Jyugo has those shackles without chains (the only time the anime was semi-serious). I'll watch the next episode but I'm not going to hesitate dropping it if it stays stupid the whole time. |
