First episode is about a guy that travels back in time to fill historical chronics, he went back to an european country in the middleage (France I guess) and was observing some peasants performing on the street. King came and asked a girl( she was redhead maybe) to marry him, after she refused King got angry, our heroine tried to do something, but he didnt really did much and king threw them to the jail.Thanks to his advanced technology they managed to escape and he traveled to his own times with this girl only to find out that Earth disappeared. There was no sign of it at all. In other episodes they travel together as mercenaries and try to find out what happened to earth and why no one in galaxy knows who they are(they are only two humans known to the whole galaxy). Oh and they live together in that spaceship he was time traveling in.

The series differs from the original comics in that Valerian comes from the year 2417, instead of 2720, and meets Laureline in the year 912 instead of 1000. Whereas in the comics Valerian takes Laureline back to the 28th century without any trouble, in the animated series this results in Earth disappearing from the solar system.

Valerian and Laureline, our two young heroes, seem to be the only representatives of the human race in the unsafe galaxy where the nightmarish Vlagos are conspiring to control the world.

So...this is tough. This earworm has been bugging me for FAR too long and I cannot think of the anime to save my life. I've looked up full lists of every anime since 1990 and no luck jogging my memory, so all I can do is try to explain the way the music sounds and hope for the best. •Lyrical. It is not instrumental, but I wouldn't be able to recall the lyrics.

For example, "occult" meaning the anime includes things like vampires, zombies, and various dead/mythical/horror-esque themes, but "comedy" making it lighthearted and not ACTUALLY horror(scary). Think Rosario+Vampire, but less ecchi, or Trinity Blood, but less serious. The song has sort of a "silly creepy" sound to it that I would compare to the Overlord opening if it were more silly. I cannot think of another song that compares to that "silly occult" style well enough, so it isn't the best comparison.

•Based on how it sounds in my head, I would estimate the anime was somewhere within the late 90s to early 2000s, but I could be wrong. I highly doubt it is any later than 2010, though, because I feel like I heard the opening AGES ago.

•I get the feeling it is an anime with only one opening. Again, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty decently sure I'm not.

•I can't remember if it is a man or a woman singing. If that becomes more clear, I'll edit this part to reflect that. If I had to guess, I would say it was a woman singing, but it isn't clear enough for me to bet money on that.

•Decently sure the anime has an English title, or at least a title that can be seen in both Japanese and English but is primarily seen in English, like "Blue Exorcist" being used a bit more commonly than "Ao No Exorcist".



That's about all I've got. If anybody has any ideas, they would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
