Omg it does. lol
That opening scene had beautiful art to it and I loved the color palette they went with.

That ass attack though.

Trigger is behind it this so let's hope it will be good.

I would say he kicked his ass, but it's more like he kicked with his ass. Is he, by chance, an acquaintance of Butt Attack Punisher Girl? :)

I liked this more than I thought I would. The characters are likeable so far, except Not Esdeath. I don't like how she belittles the others.

- the pain is split evenly, but everybody reacts as though the pain is being intensified (everybody cringing hard af because one of them pinched her own cheek), which makes that earlier statement even more retarded

- this is literally the pain-equivalent of communism and it's actually more retard than plain old communism. If they implement this on a large or global scale, what if somebody trips and hurts themselves? What if somebody gets killed in a vehicular accident? Does it the pain get so diluted that nobody even feels anything (thus defeating the purpose of the connection)? Or does everybody feel it equally, which would be horrible and pointless?

I thought this sort of nonsense couldn't get worse than when Dimension W visually explained the extra dimension w and it was just the negative x-axis in the xyz plane. But it looks like I was wrong.

I thought Kill la Kill's concept was stupid, but it was clear that it was never meant to be taken seriously from the start. I had extremely low expectations for this show just from the synopsis/studio, but I figured I'd give it a try. Maybe they would be able to once again take a stupid-sounding concept and make it fun/enjoyable. But it's already painfully obvious that's not what they're doing with this one.

Good job on labeling everyone with a distinct personality trait, that way they are forever identified with this one trait and never have to further develop their characters and make them all-rounded.

I see you drew inspiration from After Earth: 'I'm emotionless because I feel no fear.' 'I'm a extremely boring and uninteresting character because I feel no pain.'

Why Trigger? And why did you team up with Mari Okada? Don't you see these two styles don't really mix and complement each other?

The OP's animation is smooth as fuck, liking it!
Art is and colors are good too, this anime's visual aspects don't disappoint!
Wut, fucking "Kacchon", that's the most dankest nickname of the season. Easily.
Ok we have a tsundere osananajimi who won't get "Kacchon", sad lyf.
Nice bag throw, stop KACCHON from getting bullied, IT'S TIME TO STOP.
"My perv radar totally went off" "Hey, my forehead's gonna split" ONLY THE WEAK LIVE AND THE STRONG DIE.
Some doping scenes.
The heroine Sonozaki is here, RIP osananajimi's feelings.
Yeah, literally kidnappings.
More doping.
If the pain is equally divided then they shouldn't have felt that much pain from that slap. I mean how strong could that slap be. Fuk it lel
The episode was overall fine, OP was good, ED was ok, animation was good, art was good, pacing was alright, so yeah a good introduction to the anime!

Pretty damn interesting. Trigger is known for weirdness but this makes me wonder on how epic a show can be without the weirdness, if they went pure serious with just one anime, how good would it be?

OP and ED was nice but if anything required an epilepsy notice then it was this anime. Fuck that shit was trippy!.

Awesome concept. Shared pain as the main plot device. Can't say I've seen that before. I don't know what's in store, but I'm pretty excited. From what I remember, this is an original, right? I think that just makes it all the better. Near impossible to spoil :).

I'm actually liking the ED more than the OP. Prefer the instruments over electronics.

Literally so many things were thrown at me with this Kizuna project-Kiznaiver-modern deadly sins-thing and that woman
(going to take me awhile to learn the many names...lol) and her explanation literally flew right over my head.

Guess I'm going to have to watch that again cause I processed maybe 20% of everything that happened.

Also, main character's aight. Usually these apathetic main characters have no character (the irony...) and that's literally him right now. There were hints of potential character development where he will learn to "find himself" which I guess gives him hope...

One of the best starts of the season but still flawed. Before anything else, big ups to the intro, lots of style and a unique atmospheric song.

Love the visuals as usual from Trigger, love the fact that most of the character designs will probably never be confused for another series. I like the plot mechanic of shared pain, but the 'why' is really vague and though I'm sure it'll be explained later, it makes the whole thing come off as really contrived.

Also I'm glad they took the time to give Tenga more personality beyond 'the perv dude', but I'm afraid Nico might end up pretty one-note. Other characters have a lot of promise and there's plenty of time to develop their relationships to one another.

Unfortunately, the main character is pretty weak which is starting to feel normal these days. However, he's still better than an every-man character like we would typically see.

A very intriguing start. The artstyle for Kiznaiver is really colourful and really nicely designed too.

There was alot of explaining about the Kizuna Project and how the 6 characters have all been linked to share their pain with each other. Even though the explanation was good, I think I'll understand it better as the show goes on when the plot starts to get into it's stride.

Tenga's Ass attack was proper epic though! =D

Like with most shows nowadays, certain users like to cry out their disgust about shows that they hugely dislike after just one episode....really? At least give the show a few episodes to get going before calling it garbage.
If the whole concept doesn't appeal to you, then that's fine. But sometimes going OOT with the criticism after the first episode, without giving a decent explanations as to why, does look desperate to be honest.

The plot is vague, but that does not mean it has to have to be a bullshit story, through the characters and graphics quality, the first are not so original, they need to be run in Instead drawings and animations, are very good, the same can be said for the sets. The catchy opening, a little less than the ending.

i think the implication is that the injury is also split evenly, not just the pain. which is why i don't understand the slapping/pinching part either. just the characters being overdramatic to hammer the point home?

as for future implementation i suppose maybe they still intend to only connect small groups of opposing personalities, even if its on a global scale? or something ?
idfk.
the Kizuna system is still an experiment, maybe the show is self-aware enough and is gonna prove over time that the concept doesn't work?

it's all very vague as of now. i'm mostly just curious what the plot's even gonna be.

show looks pretty tho, i can't deny that.

Well, I was pretty bored while watching the episode...
The animation was ok, very sharp but exaggerated.
I didn't like the MC at all, I don't find him to be interesting or even normal, too empty.
Again with that cliché that A lot of Pain = Instant white hair.

The characters are very exaggerated in their personalities, I didn't like any of them.

They wanted to explain how all this pain system worked but it doesn't make any sense how a chip can do that.
I do assume they will explain this further. But yeah, sure, let's use some random teenagers, kidnap them
and install in them against their will some pain tech of questionable ethics.

Hey, that blue shinny girl in the beginning talks like Kayo from Boku Dake g Inai Machi, well, at least it gave me that vibe.

From all my choices from this season, this series was the most doubtful for me.
I was not mistaken, I may drop this one, but I'll give it more episodes to see how things develop.

PD: I didn't like the OP or the ED. The ED was better tho. The OP had smooth AF animations which is good and pretty, but I got bored fast because of the song and the video being pointless.

Well, I'm still giving the series a chance. I can change my opinion.

And yeah, I do not expect 100% legit and fair science but I just expect some degree of logic. That's how I am, I like to analyze everything I watch jaja. But that surely will not be a point to drop an anime, or a story (unless they take it to the "the audience is retard and they don't care" level)

Kiznaiver is a dumb name but that's the title of this series so there's nothing we can do about it.

The beginning was just like most other shounen/fantasy/science-fiction Anime/manga. There's a weak-ass shounen getting his ass beat, a concerned childhood friend/classmate who's telling him to stand up for himself, a mysterious girl who appears out of nowhere and tells said shounen and in this case, group of friends of their destiny by babbling on and on and on about sharing pain being "Kiznaivers."

Character designs are forgettable other than the MC. Stereotypical cast: airhead bitch, smart/snotty bitch, playboy douche, lackadaisical teacher who won't give two fucks, concerned classmate who is more than likely in love with the MC and obscure other-worldly character who uses terms that she'll spend half of the series explaining using made-up jargons.

Everyone's amped up over the OP which I thought was meh. I have no expectations for this series but I'll see if it gets better. I am hoping for blood, gore and death.

The characters and the story don't make too much sense to me, but it's still the first episode after all. Or actually the MC doesn't make much sense to me. :p

Dark stuff locked in his heart... so edgy.

Theory mystery girl, girl in dream. Cool osts, gives really suspenseful atmosphere.
Gomorin sequence really weird.
Red head super tsun it's ridiculous.
Hajime seem cool.
Also saw ep0. Uh one person's missing?
Interesting premise, experimental communism of pain to achieve a new form of fascism. Lol some extreme trigger.
