So was it stated that the whole cast will be all-new? I'm fairly saddened that Kobayashi-san's Allen Walker will get replaced, but well...

My big wish... Koyasu Takehito to either play the Earl or Cross Marian... This guy can be the best villain or the greatest supporter. But since they only have about more than 50+ chapters to adapt, can a 24 episode be possible? Any experts there?

24 episodes is possible especially if they consider to also adapt Lost Fragments of snow which will make the current events in the manga clearer.

Definately. Most of the chapters coming up consist of mini arcs that can be done in five or less episodes. The only truly big event is that we finally get Kanda's backstory, which, IMO, should be used as the "big arc" to end the series. The arc after that is still ongoing in the manga, so I'm not sure they'd want to start that yet.

I honestly hope this new anime adaptation of D.Gray-Man sells really well so we can get more animated material in the future.

I'm a bit worried that since its been a long time since the original anime, less people will likely support this new adaption. This is actually the first time I say this but I really hope fujoshi support this series.

Fucking finally! Been waiting for an anime adaptation continuation. Dem new coats and new character already proves it'll be a sequel<3.

You were called many things in here but having shitty taste was not one of them...
You like this?

I don't get this whole bleh-shonen genre. Shonen that's just there just to be shonen and do shonen episodic stuff for 234 episodes.

What "killed" it was TV tokyo's need to shill Naruto spin off's, DGM mangaka's injuries and overall DGM themes being too complex and mature for the audience the adaptation tried to reach sometimes.

DGM's audience are much older anyway, just like Gundam's. Probably targeted at people who actually buy dvds and manga.

Watch the original. The new series is a continuation from where it left off from the original.

103 is a bit long. Is there a good abridged version?

Man I was so hyped when I first heard the news.

Hopefully the animation quality is not shit though. The PV's art style already worries me.

Oh man never thought I would see the day. New cast interesting I knew the earl would need a new voice his actor passed away but I take it this is a soft reboot/sequel anyway so im fine with it.

I don't know. I never heard of it having an abridged version. And yeah, it does have a lot of episodes. It can start off slow but if you keep watching it it gets better and better. It's the type of anime that has a slow start.

I watched the first season last year so I don't have waited so long but I think I'm as happy as you all because the latest chapters are very very...WOW!! (o_O) It will be very good if the s2 will be out for summer or autumn.

PS: Sorry if my English isn't good. I'm French. ;)

I have no words to describe how happy I am to see D Gray-man coming back to the screen.

The only thing I won't ever recognize is that they changed Allen's seiyuu. His first seiyuu fit him to a t. I don't see any reason why they must change it.

There is a lot of filler I believe. I personally enjoyed the filler but if you're in a rush then skip past them.

So hyped for this!!! Though... I feel like crying knowing that they changed the voice actors ... It just doesn't feel like the same... But I guess I can't complain xD it's just nostalgia from watching it 8 years ago... Holy hell did I not expect them to actually make a sequel though. It's been so god damn long.

But seriously... Dem graphics tho... Can't stop drooling XD

Farewell my beloved past d.gray-man cast... You'll be missed and I'll forever remember youuuuuuu D: (goes off to re-watch D.Gray-Man and is hit with a truckload of nostalgia and feels)

... Hello new cast...
T^T uuh... *sobs* I want the old cast back... But I can't be greedy... I know...

Since this is a sequal, does any one know if it will follow the manga? Or will it take another root?

I'm really disappointed and kinda don't wait this... They've changed way too many voice actors that it's almost like new anime or something... Characters will be 'new' and to my ears, they'll never be the same character as they used to be who are getting new voice...

From her recent roles(Rurutie in Itsuwari no Kamen, whatshername in Maria the Virgin Witch, Chamot in Rokka no Yuusha) she should do a fine job. I don't remember much of how Lenalee sounds anyway.

Ppl, I've seen D.Gray-man more than once so I do remember all the voices way too well. Also it's one of my favorite anime and I'm one of those who doesn't like voice changes... For example Fullmetal Alchemist's second season, big nope for me. I did watch it and well didn't like it as much as I did with the first one, also one of my favorite. Not gonna argue doe if ppl wants to hear something new.
