| One episode in and already I can tell that Miyoshi is my kind of asshole. Love it when the unassuming characters are the ones with both the smarts and the abilities to stab you in the back, and even tell you beforehand that they'll do so without you noticing. That said, I'm not expecting that Sakuma dude to actually commit hara-kiri. it seems so obvious that the Lieutenant Colonel is using this opportunity to teach him a lesson so as to break down his military training and to rewire his brain into someone that can be used like those other guys. The foreigner is definitely going to lose the game though. To be a true player, before needing to know how to play, you most definitely need to know what exactly you are playing. |

| Damn that was intense, I like the setting and the characters. The idea is interesting too, 'Joker Game', did our MC really get played again :p But he won't just die will he :o Besides that, I believe the guy in the beginning somewhat sounded like Saitama from Ip Man 2 XD Either way, I think I'll be rating this 7-8/10, one of the better anime series this season if not the best for now. |

| Loved it! Really loved it! The thing is... How the hell did a basque proverb end up being wroten on the board when they are describing the spying agency. Surely due to Spanish Civil Way at that time (1936-1939) and Basque Country was going to be conquered from the republicans But what the fuck. God it surely was awesome that detail. I love it. Btw for anyone who does not know about "basque" I suggest you to look on Google about the other language besides japanese with unknown origin. |

| A very promising first episode indeed with great historical reconstruction. I agree that virtually everyone other than Miyoshi and Sakuma do look remarkably alike but it does not bother as it is only the first episode and it does add to the idea that spies are meant to blend in. As for having no women, that is entirely plausible given the time period and I for one am glad that they did not add a mandatory girl just for the sake of having one. And this school would be right up Johan Liebert's alley if he were Japanese. |

| The best first episode of the season so far. I anticipated a lot and it truly lived up to my expectations! The characters look good for now, but I can't wait to see more of every each of them in the next episode. I have high hopes for this anime xD |

| I was mostly bored on the first half of the episode (mainly because of bland character design) but damn, that last event was very intriguing. ED was great. |
| I haven't seen such an isteresting first episode since a lot of time.It's the first anime in the settings of the Second world war I watch. That time was the sh*t!(a whole year history lessons ) So this anime is maybe going to be about the characters playing joker game one with another? I feel really bad for the mc to be with those weasels. I knew it was going to be good (otaku sixth sense ) |

| Wow wow! I loved this first episode! It totally feels like a spy movie! Mystery everywhere, mind games, suspense, and I am sure these will make great plot twists! That feeling of not understanding a thing, that you know nothing, mystery, I love it, and I want more! =D I liked how they managed the introduction, how is it being a spy... It´s gonna be difficult (again) for me to learn all those names jaja I liked the OP and ED, great choices actually. The face of the stranger man, the engrish man, it's scary AF jaja He looks like he's gonna transform into a monster or something any minute jaja |

| Finally got 'round to watching this episode. It was not as good as I was hoping for, and yet at the same time, slightly better than what I was actually expecting based on the PVs |

| What a great start of another good anime, so much interesting spy "stuff"... That ending was something...but i doubt that they will betray him, i think it's just a way to make him think under pressure so he will find an evidence. And that joker game wooow! |

| Though I enjoyed the episode, the way they made the MC was ridiculous, not because he is such a straight arrow, since such people exist and to a degree I value ethics and the such myself, but because his main view point was that they as spies were "cowards". It's obviously a dangerous job. He should of considered them dishonorable, or looked down on them for having their lives be based on lying/sin. |

Considering that this was 1937, having Japanese female spies would have been highly unlikely so I think they are just trying to be realistic and also if they added a female character I'd be more worried that they would use her as the seductress spy which would just be an annoying cliche, this will be interesting if we actually do see the guys seduce a female for example. Secondly, I think you're taking the nationalism thing too seriously. It's not that they are trying to convince the audience that the Americans were the bad guys or that Japan was doing the right thing. They are simply portraying how Japan was very nationalistic at the time, that is realistic not nationalistic propaganda. As for the American, since we are following the view of a nationalistic main character, it would make sense that to him an enemy of the country is evil. I do not think the show is trying to brainwash us even subtly that Americans WERE evil. Anyways I only point these things out in hopes that maybe they will help you enjoy the show more instead of criticizing things that might not be so bad. :) |
| That was an intense and deep first episode, I was not expecting that development at the end. I'm gonna be honest, those eight "monsters" have pretty similar looking faces and I could barely tell them apart from their voices. Only Sakuma's face is recognizable at this point. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's having a hard time distinguishing them since they have similar faces and slicked-back hair and their suits look pretty much the same too. The tension, the animation and colors, the setting and voice acting and everything. Pretty good start. I like the ED more than OP. |

| This one was awesome ! The OSTs fit perfectly with the pacing and the characters. Sakuma just played Joker Game, I wonder if he will survive. The superiors surely aimed to disband the D agency, but their plan has failed. |
| Honestly, I wasn't really interested in this anime but I decided to give it a try anyway. Didn't expect much, and I just wanted to hear all those talented Seiyuu together, but boy, that ending was intense. It made me want to watch the second episode right away ! |

| Damn I was not expecting all that from the first ep but wow the joker card is a set up or trap card lol i'm so looking forward to the next ep the ending got intense pretty fast. so far so good to me will def be keeping an eye out for more episodes. |
