I had mixed feelings regarding this episode. While the action was certainly epic and it was everything a Gundam fan could wish for, an all-out-war. with that said, the premise that new Meisters will be introduced didn't exactly appeal to me. primarily because I agree with some of what the people before me said, it will interfere with the character development of the first 4 meisters that were introduced. well, I hope that there's something more to these "reinforcements" than meets the eye.

Not my favorite episode... I guess that episode long military battles doesn't really appeal to me
Anyway... is it just me or Setsuna already starting to become more "human" i mean early on, he was a complete loner... by ep 14 he was actually taking some social steps on his own.
Besides that I look forward to the story picking back up.

I don't know if I would say he's becoming more "human." If you just look at his past, there really is no wonder as to why he became introverted, I think it was rather "human" of him to end up the way he is. But either way, he does seem to coming out of his shell a bit.

I must say. It made me sad, but I also enjoyed how the gundams were getting their butts whoop. Gotta hand it to AEU/Union/Human, they know how to organize themselves after a few butt kicks. I like how they've developed since Sergei's sp. ops unit.

And Dynames/Grahman pr0n? LOL!

This eps was so awesome, in my opinion it was the best and most intense so far. Seeing the Gundam Meisters struggle against so many enemies and still manage to survive so long, I couldn't help but truly admire them. It was quite moving to see them face such terrible odds without any means of retreat.

I zoned out a lot in this episode. I'm more about storyline than fights. It was good but not great. I don't like seeing the Gundams getting beaten up so badly by the "bad" guys.

Wow, those Gundams aren't very good in close combat, are they?

Now where have these three new ones been hiding?

a really action-heavy episode, but good at that
just one thing i dont get. they stand around, 15 hours, without taking considerable damage, why dont they move? i mean, ok, its easier to be shot in the (not so heavy-armored) back while moving, but if they can withstand a continuous all out all sides short+long range artillery barrage, and air bombardment in regular intervals for that long, they probably should have been able to move a few meters, or a few kilometers in the beginning of those 15 hours, and just finish off the artillery pinning them down. i mean, its not like it could get any worse than being exactly in the centre of the focus fire from a few hundred mobile suits. even if they are more vulnerable that way, i doubt artillery would be able to harm them if they fly around, same with air strikes.

Yeah i though this things too. The only excuse i can find is that they didn't exactly got hit by all the missiles flying around because they were taking cover in that trench and if they got out of there they would have taken a lot more attacks so they were pin down.
Off course walking in to trap that you already know it's there is beyond stupid. Just send the information about the terrorist attack to the media and the UN then would be forced to stop it. Really that's all they had to do.
Anyway we had to have an excuse to introduce the new Gundams and the episode was cool and all.. Why are there particles red? Or is it just for show? By the way why is it that when a Gundam appears out of nowhere like that they have there feet like Christ in the cross? I don't thing it's a position a huge metal machine will find easy to take.

Totally saw that one coming. I mean after having those three new Gundams exposed in the opening I just new that they'd come to the Meisters' rescue in this battle. I am interested in seeing what these new Gundams are capable of and where the pilots' real loyalties lie.

Now this episode really was great. I'm just a big fan of battles like this so I definitely enjoyed watching it, and it's nice to see the Gundams actually stuggling instead of dominating. We really saw everybody getting involved in this clusterfuck didn't we? It really was crazy. Just when it started to get boring a new force would arrive and make it interesting too. I mean Grahm's squad didn't even launch till the 15th hour of battle. I also really like the new look of Mr. Redhead's (can't say his name) new mobile suit. I can't wait to see how it fares against the new Gundam.

But I am also concerned that these three new Gundams will be too overpowered, so much so that they make us forget about the other Gundams already here. I also don't want these new pilots to make us forget about the other characters either, but I'm sure it'll all be fine.

It was action packed. I enjoyed watching it.

It seems that the others are doomed but Setsuna apparently will be rescued.

Wonder who that is.

The ending of this episode was kinda predictable, with the sudden savior arriving to rescue Setsuna. I wonder who the pilot is though? Isn't that the same Gundam that Setsuna saw in his childhood?

It was a little predictable but so amazing.
The ending theme is such a downer...

Gun...dam...GUNDAM!!!!

Amazing episode, but I don't know why they went into that obvious trap, they should be attempting to prevent fighting but it seems all they are doing is provoking things like this. They shouldn't be that predictable to walk into a 1000 to 4 battle. It had to be the most expensive battle of all time. But that other Gundam showing up at the end was great, I wonder who the pilot is.

If all three of the other gundams are saved i'm going to be mad.

The one sidedness hopefully comes to a close with this episode.

I'm sorry but unlike most here I find this episode INCREDIBLY STUPID unless something comes up soon that expains why the hell they walked into an incredibly obvious trap. The Veda or Sumeragi would easily have known this. All they had to do was not show up...and presto...the other 3 sides would have looked like fools. I really hope there is a good explanation for this blunder.

I agree, though I found it thoroughly entertaining regardless of this huge inconsistency.

I mean... that wasn't even a conflict; that was a fuckin' beat-down. This episode did a great job at providing action and drama in one tightly knit package. Things were looking seriously tragic for our Gundam Meisters until the (admittedly predictable) ending.

I hadn't noticed "three new Gundams" in the opening animation as I rarely pay attention, but the topic of "are you sure there's only four Gundams" had been danced around enough I figured a new one would show up and save everybody's collective ass.

Edit: Just paid attention to the opening and saw no reason to believe the briefly displayed new mobile suits were Gundams; this may be obvious now, but prior to this revelation, it wasn't.

I don't see the reason why they interfere with this military joint operation.
It's obviously a trap. But why?

I agree with you, the whole operation was quite pointless, the Gundams should have just retreated when there was nothing to win anymore. Then they also split up and just stayed in position without trying to fight back. There should have been a better way to introduce the 3 new Gundams.

It's a joint military exercise...did they really think they could win with 4 Gundams, against the possibility of A LOT of weapons/mobile suits/wtv??? The episode still was intense though. I almost teared up when Setsuna was having flashbacks to his child soldier days, it was painful to watch.

I was not expecting a new Gundam to show up. Definitely not Setsuna screaming, "Gudaaaaaaam" like that at the end lmao. Idk why, but I found it kinda funny.

I suggest you to rewatch it with the correct subs. They clearly explained as to why they "interfered" even tho they knew it could be a trap.

This was a very intense episode but i don't know if i like the fact that now there are more Gundam meisters, i would've preferred more screentime for the characters that we already know.

It's probably like screaming into the void but I'll write down my thoughts anyway. What exactly was the plan here? Sumeragi fully expected them to fail and yet she sent them into this trap anyway. So Celestial Being would most likely have lost 4 Gundams and their Meisters if deux ex machina Trinity hadn't shown up (especially given that Sumeragi did not know they exist). What would CB do next? Restart the plan in another 200 years? It's not like they had spare Gundams.
