| I cant believe how closely they adapted it. Its exactly like the manga. Really well done. Voices fit the characters. The pace is good but kinda slow at the same time....well slightly slower pace than the manga imo. Not sure how to explain it, maybe its the timing of the jokes or something. That's not a complaint though.its awesome and can't wait for more. |

| Monsters are as ugly as I remember them. Not a bad episode, though I've always been put off by this beginning part. Music towards the end was amazing. Can't wait for that guy at the end to come. |

| Ahh October can't come soon enough!! I don't know if I would want OPM to be as popular as SnK.... While the sales would be great, guaranteeing a second season, there would also be a lot of people saying it's shitty (when it really isn't) without even seeing it or just for the hell of it. I can get that people have different opinions, but what ended up happening with SnK is not something I can understand. |

| The episode was really, really good. But I can't understand these people saying they didn't like the dream sequence. That was done masterfully, the art I mean I couldn't imagine it any better, to see Saitama unleashing his power on the subterraneans, animated... I waited for this so long... His eyes shining, never seen that on the manga but it's a welcome change, intriguing. Also, this is just the first episode, chill the fuck down, saying that it was bad? Please, spare me the explanations, of how these/those studios make better fight scenes or how the soundtrack sounds too rock'ish for your tastes. There's always these stupid complaints I can't even bro. I got what I wanted and even more. |

| I can understand the "meh" reactions. If I hadn't read the manga beforehand I would have probably reacted the same way. But since I know what's coming I know the story isn't as directionless as the first episode seemed to be. For how closely they followed the manga I have high hopes for this series. But I agree with others that the first episode was kind of mediocre from a story standpoint. Basically because there was no story. But it will come. |

| The scene where Saitama looks up at the Titan-Dude with a smile on his face. I recall in the manga that he was smiling while saying, "So how do you like being the strongest?" which was Saitama relating with him. Without that line, it makes Saitama look like he's smiling about the Titan-Dude crushing his brother and that's pretty morbid... even if it was funny. A lot of action in this first episode but I don't expect all episodes to be like this, the comedy is a lot more charming and entertaining than the action anyway. Not to say the action was terrible, the dream sequence was fantastically choreographed and animated and was very exciting and exceeded my expectations but seeing as that was just a dream sequence, if Saitama is a guy who ends all battles with 1 punch, that's not exactly exciting. As Saitama said, "Having overwhelming power is boring as hell". Hopefully it keeps focus on the comedy from now on. As several have said... the structure of the episode is pretty loosely put together and jumps around a lot... It does give us a proper introduction to Saitama, who he is, why he is the way he is, what he stands for, what he's looking for but it's a bit hard to follow at points, especially for people who haven't read the manga. This is mainly because of the inconsistent length of the chapters of the manga but can't very well have a 5 minute episode, then a 10 minute, then a 3 minute episode and so on... Nothing too terrible but definitely poor. As for the comedy, for the most part it was very well done. The scene where Saitama wakes up, smacking his alarm clock through the floorboards to who knows where was hilarious. Seeing a bald superhero buying groceries was ridiculous. Ball-Chin-Kid was hilarious. Seeing the underground people immediately surrender to Saitama was both sad and hilarious. I love how it parodies and subverts fighting shounen and superhero backstories by having Saitama's backstory contain no real tragedy(Unless you count messing up a job interview), no rich parents, no journey of self discovery, no science experiment gone wrong, no mutation that spawns superpowers, no being bit by radioactive anything and not even that much of a disaster. Just him, an average guy, deciding that fighting and taking down bad guys is fun which sends the message that anyone can be a hero. There's some satire too but I can't really comment on that until later. As for the music... Yeah, it's pretty epic. The way it cuts off when Saitama one hit Vaccine-Man was pretty great. The voice acting was well done too, very expressive and funny at times. I don't really have any complaints here, just all around great. Anyway, I look forward to seeing the official release. Seeing as the visuals were pretty outstanding, I'll be shocked if there's a BIG increase in quality but who knows. It will be nice to get proper subtitles too. |

| On the site I watched it on, only half of it was subbed so I can't really say. But the first half was good, surprisingly. Had a few laughs. Looks interesting enough; can't wait until it officially comes out. |
