Well with this episode, Meguni is no longer with them...sad, but it's the truth.
Yuki may bring joy and stuff to the group, but she also put them in a lot of danger with her selfishness...
I even forgot that they are highschooler...thought they are middle school students since Yuki is way too childish.
Still want to PUNCH Yuki once tho.

I'm glad I started watching this. Great series so far, and I'm glad that I am not familiar with the manga. I'll read it later. I only started viewing the series on Tuesday and watched the first five episodes over the last couple of days without looking at the MAL threads

I liked how the reveal of Megu-nee's death was handled. For me I was suspecting something like that from the cross on the roof, but since in the flashbacks she was still alive I was not sure if Miki would have met her or not. In this ep her sudden appearance in the car with Kurumi was something of a clincher.

The final song in the ED coupled with Megu-nee's fading image from prior scenes was nothing short of brilliant.

Pretty damn good episode. Even if I knew about Megu-nee and the delusions, I like the way the writers confirmed those. Sad stuff too, as Megu-nee felt like such a sweet and loving person. The only way for me to feel sad for a character is for me to care about them, which this show seems to be doing well. This, plus other advantages over its competitors allow me to give this show a high rating. Still wondering if its THAT much better than Madoka for me to give it a slightly higher rating. (This is NOT a 10/10 for me though, sorry)

Aww, Megu-nee!! :(

I love how they always show us the darkness and reality of everything in contrast to how Yuki sees it all! Powerful transitions!

Overall, really good episode! :)

isn't going to fit with her characterisation in the anime so...

I have to say, this episode gave me a mixed feeling.

On the first hand I'm really happy about how they did the reveal and the ED. It was really impacting and I greatly enjoyed it. Honestly the music distorting and slowing down was so creepy ...
On the other hand... I still hate the music during the SOL. It feels so different than the manga and it makes some impactful scene, quite out of place... there is also the fact that the hint with Megumi were TOO obvious. I mean I like the hint but when they get so obvious it's just pain me. After all in this episode she is supposed to stay in the room Miki was sleeping, but the next moment she appear next to Yuki in the music room while Miki is blocking the door? Come on that is WAY too obvious....

They also took out an important conflict between Miki and Yuki... that really is a bad choice... but eh I still enjoyed this episode. That cut just confirmed that Manga > Anime. The anime is great but if you compare it to the manga there is way too much important stuff that got cut.

This episode glosses over all the dialogue :T And from the looks of it, we won't see Miki calling Yuki out and researching her condition v_v

But man is Yuki creepy in this adaptation

Depressing episode this week. Poor Yuki, and they showed Megu-nee final moment make this even more depressing. Miki grown to like Yuki and she having friendly chat with Kurumi is nice.

Megu-nee finally confirmed 100% dead. I mean, they dropped enough hints in all the other episodes...especially last week.

Liked seeing the first conversation between Miki and Yuki. Combined Yuki's delusional perspective with everything being pristine with Miki's realistic view of blood and destruction everywhere. And Miki actually called her out on it.

I wonder why Yuuri has no desire to make Yuki see reality. I mean sure it'll shock the shit out of her and fuck her up even more, but it would definitely help in the long run.

Also, liked the touch with the water bottle dropping because Megu-nee doesn't exist. Same thing with the radio stopping. Yuki thinks she handed it off but actually just smashed the fucking thing on the ground, lol.

That ED with Megu-nee disappearing in all of the scenes. So simple, yet so fucking effective at making it incredibly fucking sad. T__T

I don't understand why would they cut the part where

Great episode, with the arrival of new student, many explanations have been made and the episode presented a more emotional development, and showed the truth about Megumi and how the girls deal with the difficulties, well, with a new member and the facts of the past shown, I am anxious to see the development of the anime ..

Reminder to manga readers that while Megu-nee's death is not a spoiler anymore
still is, so if you could, you know, TAG your shit properly.
Stop ruining it for the anime-only watchers, seriously. That's super douchey of you!

I liked the episodes, but there are some things that I wish were done a bit differently.
As someone pointed out, the Megu-nee reveal didn't have as strong of an impact during the episode, because they were mostly showing how Miki adapts to her new life with the School Live Club. I think although it was kind of obvious she wasn't there with all the hints from t he previous 5 episodes, that it deserved a bit more attention than to just be a plot device to explain to Miki how Yuki is batshit insane. (The ending messed me up badly tho... Cried for five years...)
I wonder how the opening will change now. Maybe the sakura tree will be shown empty
I think that would be cool.
Then there was also the parts where they cut off bits and pieces of Rii and Miki's clash that I liked... But it's understandable a bit, I don't think they could've fit all that in a single episode.

Also, the art has had some problems here and there in previous episodes, but it was mostly tiny or insignificant frames. This episode, however, the art quality felt bad most of the time... Wonky eyes, spaghetti arms... there was plenty of bad to go around. Dunno the reason behind it, but I just hope it was a one-time thing and Lerche aren't slacking off... I don't need more blogs like oen-peice or the sailormooncrystalfailures xD

So in general... a good episode, but it had its flaws. Then again, there has yet to be a perfect anime with a perfect episode.

Can anyone tell me with spoilers whether this anime gets darker or not without major spoilers? Also does Yuki eventually snap out of her delusions or go completely insane as if she isn't already? Include spoiler tags ofc

I can agree with Megu's death foreshadowing being very apparent so far. What I find interesting, though, is the way Megu behaved in her delusions, fully aware of the zombie apocalypse.
That of course lends credibility to the fact that Yuki is subconsciously aware of what's actually going on.
The preview was done pretty nicely too...

It was an okay episode, though.
Is the adaptation really that bad? Either way i plan on reading the manga when the anime finishes...

Some people are just overly sensitive about anime adaptations. The specially hilarious ones are the ones that have read the manga of something, which in turn is based on a light novel, from which the actual anime is based from. Then they complain about the differences from the manga to the anime.

I instantly rewatched some of the older episodes to confirm Megunee is dead.

but some parts made little sense.

While true she appears out of no where, Miki is always acting awkward around her and no one besides Yuki really has a conversation with her.

Scenes like when she is in the library and is protected by Megunee who is even covering Yukis mouth so she is quiet make little sense.
I know she probably is holding her own mouth and subconsciously knows those are Zombies and they are dangerous but it surely was a red herring to suggest Megunee had physical impact on her surroundings.

To get the point across without being too spoilery, I'll put it this way: the manga's at around chapter 38 now. The anime's only adapted up to around chapter 16 or so.

This was a great episode and officially confirms that Megu-nee is dead after all. She sacrificed herself on the rooftop to let Yuki, Rii and Kurumi to escape and the cross up on the rooftop with the ribbon was hers after all. I was very certain that Megu-nee was dead from last episode with all the foreshadowing and the way Kurumi and Rii practically ignored Megu-nee. Even though Yuki is pretty weird to live as if nothing has happened, she is pretty much the life of the School Living Club. This series keeps surprising me, looking forward to what else is in store.

And finally the big reveal. The ED song was so good, the feels...

They changed some parts. I liked the manga ver. better as Miki had a conflict with Yuuri in that scene and while she did sound rash, and arrogant, she was right. The anime changed that scene after touching it only a little... Well, as long as the conflict is shown later, I am okay with it. It might actually be better that way, as Miki will appear less annoying as she did in the manga.

I wish they didn't make it so obvious that she was dead, I pretty much assumed it since episode 2, and ever since every single scene she was in kept confirming my suspicion that she wasn't real..... I mean, she even magically appeared outta nowhere in a whole bunch of scenes....

However my heart still beat faster at the reveal, it just made me a bit sadder for Yuki.
