I find people who sing too often to be annoying. I probably wouldn't tolerate more than two days with a person like that, even if they're amazing.

Are you really expecting discussion out of this thread or are just being ironic?

Every thread has the potential for discussion.

It wouldn't bother me if they aren't good at singing, but it would sure as hell bother me if they sing some shit that I don't like only to piss me off.

It's okay as I sing a lot too, but not when I'm studying. I currently live in a boarding house, and gah my board mates really do sing very loud. It's in these times my noise-cancelling earmuffs saves my life, I can't live without them, I always bring them around.

idk maybe if they were like Jhene Aiko or Etsuko Yakushimaru... but after a while you would probably get tired of hearing the same singing voice. I know I hum sometimes, but usually not when other people are around. I guess it would depend if it was just humming out outright singing all the time and who the person was.

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."

If I like them then they don't even need to be very good. Maybe it will mean there is never a lonely moment.

Like, would you really appreciate music 24/7 in your home? Idk, I personally wouldn't mind but others don't want their own Mariah Carey.

Another thing that's wrong with the whole "I'm good at singing so why not" mindset is that most people have a tendency to overestimate their singing ability.

Well, I live with my older brother who tries to sing?
Just need to find out how to quote this every time so I can dodge the stupid 30-character limit.

I have headphones if it gets too annyoing and I sortoff did live with someone for awhile like that. I spent a whole summer alone with one of my ex's on a beach house and she was definitely one of those. Lucky for me she didnt sing Mariah Carrey crap, she sang a lot of Utada Hikaru (which I like) and Korn (which sounds cute when it's a girl singing)

Wouldn't their singing be disruptive and do the opposite though?

If you look at the poll, most people (around 60%) would tolerate or even like it, some with the condition of liking the person initially.

If I like them and they sing well id probably like it. Preferably a female; a male will just make me feel bad that they can sing so well. However if it was a male id like to have them teach me how to sing well. Could be fun. If they sing bad then it will be torture.
