Well, as curzon said, unless they're doing events out of order (which hasn't been the case as of yet in the previous seasons), then there's no way this season is only going to cover only 2 volumes. They have to cover everything from Vol 5 onward, and yet the preview showed the sparring match between Issei and Sairaorg (which occurs in Vol. 9) as well as Rossweiss (who appears in Vol 7). This leads me to believe they're going to end up doing a 2-cour season potentially covering from Vol 5 to Vol 10 (more or less skipping 8 since it was side stories) for a total of 5 Volumes. Merely speculation, but it seems to make the most sense given how they handled the previous seasons. |

| As a huge fan of the Light Novels[read till volume 18,kinda lost track, will reread] I am totally stoked for this season, as volume 5 and 6 are very entertaining, still waiting for the one where Issei's dragon armor get's four different badass forms. Also we now have the lovely Rosweisse-san! The cheapskate teacher!  |

| To clear up concerns about certain parts of the PV: So it's most likely going to be covering only volumes 5-6. Although, the serious atmosphere between Ise and Rias in the PV & visual makes me wonder if they're going to put greater emphasis on volume 10's events a little earlier in the anime. |

Now, what I heard were only rumors. Most likely just dipshits running their mouths. I couldn't find any source to confirm or deny it. BUT, there's the chance that someone on here heard something. No it's just that it's a personal thing, back when Season 1 was airing maybe I was patient enough to tolerate all of the ecchi and depthless characters, now I do not. Well, I somewhat remember reading somewhere that season 2 kind of rushed things a bit, which is why I asked. Personally, I liked season 2 more than season 1. Although, I would have loved to see the full version of the IsseixRias kiss lol. I watched alot of ecchi shows years back with no problems, but now, it definitely is much harder to watch certain types of ecchi shows, maybe because I'm older now .......idk, but imo, I find it to be the opposite of how you feel about this show. To me, even though the ecchi in this is really hardcore ( w/o actually going into fullblown sex) , it doesn't bother me at all because of everything else that the show does really well too, and I find this show to be one of the best series in the ecchi genre that has a large focus on the ecchi while not losing everything else. |

You're hearing a bunch of perverted horndogs who aren't interested in looking beyond the fanservice. Whereas myself and other novel readers know full well that there's more than just fanservice and that things will only get more serious as the series progresses. Hell the background for everyone in the gremory group is quite heavy and tormented. I can't say much about Trinity Seven, but from what I've seen so far, the harem aspect isn't anywhere near as good as DxD's. Even from an anime-only perspective, it's a bit fast how the girls just fall for him. What's the reasoning behind it? |

| That's not what I'm telling you. I'm not drawing any conclusions. I don't buy titles without being convinced that I have a high chance of liking it. I've been quite disappointed a few times even like this, so let's not even talk about buying a series which I'm currently concluding of having more than 50% chances of not pleasing. See, like I said, I'm not drawing any conclusion, and that's precisely why I'm avoiding this series. Because there's no way that your comments can erase their comments. It can counterbalance them, but not erase them that easily. If there's like 50/50, that's half a chance it doesn't please me. Even without drawing conclusions, avoiding buying them is obvious. Besides, look at my "about me" section. Can you have any argument of this series being better than any title of the top half ( 1 to 15, so everything outside of the spoiler tag) LN I read? I'm only buying titles that have a good chance of ranking among those. That way, even if they're disappointing, they'll still mainly ends up as average or a bit above average in my ratings, so I have very few chances of actually regretting buying them. If you can't see DxD as better than even one of those titles, then that means that I'm correct in avoiding that titles, as it's simply too much of a risk. |

| Just wanted to point something out about the types of comments you tend to see more often in regards to shows that contain sexual fanservice themes (especially in a site like MAL or well, anywhere actually). You will always see alot more comments just talking about the sexual aspects of a show, and only a few posts that talk about everything else. I'm sure this basically applies to nearly everything in the world, especially on the internet. ( Ofc, there are forums, sites, etc that are exceptions, but MAL definitely isn't one of them) So, yah, its alright if you know that heavy fanservice isn't for you, but if you're not 100% sure that you won't like a series, then I'd suggest you atleast listen to a few fans that can talk about more than just the fanservice aspects of the series, I mean its the least you could do. |
